I am putting together a Blind Auction League. It works as follows:
10 Teams- each team gets $200 for the auction
Positions are 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 RB/WR/TE, 1 QB/RB/WR/TE... 7 Bench spots. no D or Kicker.
.5 PPR
League is on ESPN but the silent auction will be done as follows:
All 10 members will join a group Google chat online along with an impartial auctioneer.
After a player is nominated, everyone will quickly email their bid to the auctioneer, who will reveal who had the highest bid. Repeat 149 Times. It should take about 2.5 hours.
We have done chat-room auctions before (though, not with this twist) and
they have gone very well.
Additionally, we will update a Google Doc with everyone's picks and money remaining in real-time, so we can track everything easily.
I am confident that this will work and have 7 friends willing to try it, but I need to find 2 more people here.
