You mean before THE nice pick. Other than Alexander the first round picks after 16 were pretty terrible.

Dude, just look a couple posts up, the complete round was posted. Pat was correct and yes, your Giants blew that one even though Arizona did them a favor by selecting Jones at 7. ;)

I still remember when the Steelers were getting blasted for the terrible mistake of not drafting Chad Pennington.

:lmao:

Jones and Lewis appeared to be studs coming out of college, prototypical. Dayne was a turd, Canidate was fast. What happened to Shaun Alexander? Solid attributes from a big time program, what was the main reason of concern for him not being concidered a stud?

Actually, the Ravens took some heat for taking Lewis. He tore an ACL and then lost the starting job to Henry. The Ravens signed free agent Sam Adams the day before that draft. If they hadn't reached that deal, they would have taken Simon at #5 and whatever top RB was left at #10 and we never would have been treated to the Travis Taylor era.

But you can't overlook what a huge factor Adams was in that 2000 Ravens' D. It was the only inspired football of his career.
