Family Matters

Let's start with the QB's.

QB:

Do-Peyton Manning is always a stud.

Don't- draft him in before the 3rd round...ever.

Do- draft guys like Brees, Bulger & Rivers in the later rounds for great value.

Don't- ever draft Vick. His inconsistencies weeks 14-17 were likely killers to many owners.

Do- Have faithe in Palmer. He said he would be there game 1 and he was.

Don't- trust QB's that ride motorcycles with no helmets. They take too many risks. lol

Do -watch the waiver wire for gems like Romo.

Don't- count on Chicago QB's.

RB:

Do- draft LT whenever possible. Forget about the no TD's in week 16 because if you lost from that then your team sucks. You shouldn't suck with LT.

Do- draft LJ and trust he will get the job done.

Do- draft Jackson. He's for real.

Do- Draft Westbrook and be prepared to have him miss some games. He only missed 1 and he rewarded his owners.

Do- Draft Addai next year expect top 6 results.

Don't- Trust Portis. He's a great runner that gets injured too often.

Don't- Ever draft Denver RB's. Shanny is way too fickle.

Don't- Ever ever trust a AZ RB. They are built to pass and they fail at running.

Don't- trust Parcells either. He is a true RBBC coach and he thinks it's a good idea. :bye:

Don't- trust Foster.

Do- expect value in Alexander next year.

WR:

Do- Trust Marvin Harrison. He was amonster during the fantasy playoffs.

Do- Know that TO will produce when on the field.

Don't- ever trust TO. He will not be on my team.

Don't- Ever draft Burress.

Do- Draft Driver and know he will produce.

Do- Mine the waiver wire for gems such as Colston and Cotchery. Unless you had the insight to draft them.

Don't- Plan to have DJax to be available for your playoffs. I love him but he's hurt me 2 years in a row.

Don't- Expect much from Balt WR's. Though Clayton is looking promising.

Do- Expect Holt to return to his top 5 status next year after his surgery. Could be a value play.

Don't- Count on Chicago WR's.

TE:

Do- Plan on Gates to be the #1 every year.

Don't- Draft Gates in the first round any longer.

Do- Look for Winslow to be the #2 if healthy.

Don't- Expect Winslow to be healthy.

Do- Draft Gonzo as a smart value play.

Don't- Ever count on Shockey to help you in your playoffs. He will hurt you somewhere.

Do- Expect good numbers from LJ Smith as long as McNabb is healthy.

Don't- Count on LJ Smith because McNabb or Westbrook will get injured and hurt his production.

Do- Plan on Cooley to be a top 5 going forward.

Don't- Plan on Ben Watson being the main guy in NE. In fact don't plan on any WR/TE to be a regualr factor.

Do- Expect Tony Scheffler to be a factor next year.

These are just a few. I know there are more so feel free to add them.

Yeah...'cause that whole making the playoffs with that evil, horrible "RBBC" is a dumb idea so Parcells should scrap it for fantasy owners.

Sarcasm aside... I put forth the idea that the WW is an owner's best friend. Even if you draft poorly, you can still get a very good team together off the WW and don't be afraid to jump on a guy a week or two early (I did so with Cotchery and it paid off well).

You are right. Parcells could care less about fantasy. Just to calrify my comments are fantasy related and seeing as how that's what we're talking about I thought I'd mention it.

I don't agree with the following ones . . .

Don't - draft Peyton Manning before the 3rd round...ever.

Don't - ever draft Vick. His inconsistencies weeks 14-17 were likely killers to many owners.

Don't - Trust Portis. He's a great runner that gets injured too often.

Don't go with the "safe" choice as there is no such thing. Last draft I had the choice of LT, LJ and SA. I went with the "safe" choice and obviously it was a mistake (although he did help me with the SB).

Oh yeah, don't mock the Madden and Chunky Soup curses.
