2006 NFL DRAFT (1 Viewer)

Can someone explain to me why the Broncos need a QB bad enough to trade up like this? Isn't Plummer still young enough to play for 5 more years? Aren't they a super bowl contender who could use a sudden impact player? I don't get it.
Plummer is over 30. By the time Cutler is ready to play, they should sit him for a couple of years, Plummer will be 33 or 34 and approaching the end of his career.

Hrm, gives you a good idea of what the Rams seem to think about Cutler, eh?

Wouldn't shock me if they look at Kellen Clemens when he comes around.

-QG

11th for 15th and 68th.
So the Rams get a very early 3rd and the 15th for the 11th? Not too shabby! The Rams should have PLENTY of defensive players available with the 15th that may not necessarily been worthy of the 11th plus they get what almost amounts to a late 2nd round pick. Very pleased here, especially if the Rams snag a CB here. Very smart move by Linehan and Co.

Can't help but think that if the Jets did not let Denver in on the Abe deal they could have gotten Cutler in a similar affordable deal. Bummer!

Maybe D Williams is in the cards to the Jets

Cardinals will reach a Super Bowl before the Lions do.
come on... your negative attitude is killing me. you must have more years being a lions fan than I do. I can tell because I still have hope. What do you think the Lions should have done?

I would have gone for someone with 4 or less concussions.

Eagles are looking pretty good. Didn't have to trade up.

Bunkley

Ngata

Justice

all on the board!!
Ngata would be nice, but I doubt Baltimore lets him go by.
I'd rather the Birds take Bunkley-he is quicker
either way, Ray Lewis would be happy. Ngata is a space eater which would free him up and Bunkley is a havoc causer....although if Ozzie has Justice rated the highest he'll go there

Birds also need secondary help

That is a great pick and trade for Denver.  Sit a year to learn and work under Plummer.  Great pick.
You sure Plummer is the guy you want mentoring your future franchise QB?
He is not the worst however Skelator is a coach I would want coaching him.
12. CLE Justice13. BAL Nagota

14. PHI Jackson

15. STL Hill
 Philly takes Bunkley in that scenario.
I can see that

Broncos still have the 37th and 61st pick. Then they are quiet until the 119th.

As a Bronco fan, I think this was probably a good move, but I'm still concerned about WR...

tradeLienart

Bunkley

Cutler

in that order.

Perhaps it'll pan out for Sims but for how long? 5 concussions is an awful lot.

On the bright side we still have 2nd and 3rd picks to get decent D talent that could contribute this year.

makes sense ... then trade for Walker :bag:

I am, too, but a better QB can always make receivers better. Plummer has played well, but he has never struck me as the kind of guy who will make receivers better.

I heard TRADE??? With Baltimore

I always think trade when they let the clock run down so much...

I guess you want a qb that would get killed because of the offensive line.

Why the hell wouldn't Baltimore wait to see who Cleveland takes? Then if they had taken Ngata you offer a trade! Whats the point of trading first? It just seems absolutely special to me!

Yea maybe they'll take Watson and Marinelli will be able to motivate his lazy ###.

Great pick by Baltimore. This guy has terrorized the Pac-10 for years.

I am guessing the Browns maybe take KAMERION WIMBLEY or Brodrick Bunkley now

Perhaps. He had a good combine supposedly.

No, not a QB. I've been very vehement about that.I was sort of thinking maybe offensive tackle, cornerback, safety, or even a linebacker with his brain still lodged firmly in his skull.
