Harper doesn't have good speed, but coaches are going to love him. Smart, defensive QB, hard hitter, great reactions, always around the ball. Could have been MVP of the Senior Bowl. Forced a fumble, recovered a fumble, led the team in tackles. Super high character guy. Another solid pick.

Im not sure what to think of Young. Part of me is excited, part of me wishes we could have traded down and gotten Culter and grabbed some extra picks.

Manning is a good pick. He was consider a top sleeper. Playmaker. Held up big time at the Senior Bowl against better competition. Some scouts thought he was the best DB there. Corner/Safety tweener. Nice prospect.

I had the Patriots pegging in in the third round....I think he is a great pick, but maybe early here...Strengths:

Has excellent size and a solid frame...An tremendous athlete...Has very good speed...A playmaker who has a knack for coming up big...Versatile and can play multiple positions...Has great instincts...Very physical and will support the run...Has outstanding ball skills...Always a threat to score...Also makes an impact on special teams as a kick blocker and return man...Was a prolific in Division II.

Weaknesses:

Did not play against a high level of competition and was a big fish in a small pond...Very raw and needs a lot of technique work...A bit of a 'tweener whose ultimate pro position is still undecided...Will have to adjust to an entirely new speed...Might not have the pure coverage skills to play corner in the pros.

Notes:

Could project to either corner or safety at the next level...Originally signed with Nebraska out of high school...Don't let his small school roots fool you because this guy is a great football player...One of the premier sleeper prospects in the draft.

Sounds like Charles Tillman.Maybe the Bears are trying to tap that well again.

They are doing very well. They are addressing both short-term and long-term needs. Its what winning teams do. Those complaining about the Cutler pick are out of line, imo.
