2006 NFL Schedule (1 Viewer)

If anyone wants to, feel free to bookmark this page I made. I do this every year when the final schedule is released, but with this advance notice, I figured why not get a head start and make my life easier when that time comes. All I will have to do now is rearrange the order of the opponents and include the BYE weeks.

At least for now, this page will provide easy viewing of the 2006 opponents.

In case you want to update it, the Vikes play Washington in the first MNF game.

Love this grid, but why did you add the 4 new columns:W (wins) and OPP (what is this?)

I hope you remove them for the final version (for printing issues)

SCHEDULE COMING OUT THURSDAY

Thanks to the reader who clued us in to the fact that the NFL Network's on-line programming guide reveals that, on Thursday, April 6, a two-hour edition of Total Access will air at 2:00 p.m. EDT.

Based on past network precedent, this means that the full 2006 NFL schedule will be released, analyzed, and scrutinized during the two-hour show.

We plan to sneak out of the law office early on Thursday in order to catch the broadcast live. (Please don't tell the boss.)

NFL Network to unveil regular-season schedule

(April 4, 2006) -- For the third straight season, the National Football League's release of the regular-season playing schedule will be made into a two-hour television show on NFL Network's signature show, NFL Total Access.

The show will air this Thursday, April 6, at 2 p.m. ET, when the master schedule is to be completed.

The NFL Total Access Schedule Show Presented by GMC will be hosted by Rich Eisen, alongside guest analyst Steve Mariucci.

NFL Total Access will announce the 2006 regular-season playing schedule on a week-by-week basis, highlighting the new changes taking place this season, including flexible scheduling, the addition of NBC and NFL Network as broadcasters, plus all the compelling matchups.

In addition to highlighting the key games of the 2006 season, the special will also feature interviews with current players, including John Lynch of the Denver Broncos, coaches, including Herm Edwards of the Chiefs and Sean Payton of the Saints, plus broadcasters, including FOX's Troy Aikman, to gauge their reactions to the schedule as it comes out.

The two-hour special will re-air the same day as its original air at 7 p.m. ET/PT.

In addition to the NFL Total Access Schedule Show Presented by GMC, NFL Network features live, gavel-to-gavel coverage of Day 1 of the 2006 NFL Draft, as well as exclusive live coverage of NFL Europe games this April

Dumb question - is the fact that this show never airs at 2 PM on NFL network what tipped you off?

Anyhow, anxiously awaiting the leaks (though my Bengals got smart last year and plugged the leak I found the year before)

Why not just wait until 7 or 8 pm and then make a grand spectacle of this announcement? (kinda like the NCAA tournament selection show where every college basketball fan waits with baited breath)......if you release it at 2pm, then the luster to watch the 7pm show is worn off from all the sports talk radio, internet, etc.Stupid move if you ask me and I don't even have NFL Network or didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

That and also that is a 2 hour show

Is it me or is it coming out several weeks earlier than usual this year??

Not complaining, just askin'...

Did anyone else hear that it will be Cowboys at the Eagles on Christmas night?

I heard it on a local Philly radio station this morning, but I guess we'll find out for sure tomorrow.

Yes, they'll be playing Christmas night. :football:

Any spies out there with any good scoops?

i am shocked that with all the posters with inside info, that nobody gets schedule info early until the day of release.

I don't know what I'm happier about the schedule coming out today or the wife being out of town for the weekend.

Who leaked it last year? I tried doing a search but came up with nothing.

Someone posted it in the morning last year, a couple hours before the announcement on NFL Network.

2 years ago we got some individual teams ahead of time as well. I remember patting myself on the back by finding the unlinked schedule for the Bengals by screwing with the URL and discovering our first Monday night game in 100 years :)

Schedule day rules :) For job reasons I can't go out of town for any games before mid-November (I'm in NJ, so getting out to see the Bengals takes a little planning). I'm pondering going to New Orleans this year if they schedule a late season game down there when it's WHO DEY vs. WHO DAT.

Could very well be a rough start for the G-Men, that 1st half schedule is brutal.
