Please only copy the list from 1-16 with the bidding changes as well as the names of those who switched positions with you and the new bid amounts for those positions. Also, please make sure that you double check the thread after posting (or better yet, preview the post prior to entering) to make sure that a change didn't happen during the time that you were posting. The person who's post is made first in the thread is the one that takes precedence obviously. Please remember that bids can only be made in minimum increments of .05 points (obviously, they can be larger than .05 but keep them as multiples of .05 points) and refer to the original thread about what dictates a valid bid. Per BnB, Bidding will start ASAP and run through WED 8/8 at 11:59 PM. Draft starts 8am next THUS 8/9. Have fun!

Agreed.(Not to muddle this thread up with posts, but....)We didn't see this strategy applied ONCE in our last draft. Seeing someone jump out of a highly bid spot down to a lower one, really sticks the guy with 1, so in essence, spot one could eventually grow out of control and then teams would have to hope they don't get stuck with the 1 spot.On a side note: This thing could really break down if you have even one drafter not participating.

That actually doesn't pose a problem, as I doubt anyone else would bid before the deadline just to make sure you were stuck with -111 points/week.

We will refer to this to determine what is a valid bid. You need a rule that once someone bids and takes a new position, they can't bid on another slot until someone else has changed spots. That will prevent someone from jumping slot to slot to slot just to drive up bids. It should also make the end game simpler once fair prices have been established.

Also, someone winning a bid shouldn't be allowed to bid on their old position before anyone else bids on it. For example...

#1 Rads 1.50

#6 Duckboy .40

Duckboy bids on #1

#1 Duckboy 1.60

#6 Rads .40

Rads can bid on slot 1 since he was displaced, but Duckboy can't bid on slot 6 unless he occupies one of the other 14 slots first (either by bid or by being displaced). Possible flow chart....

The rule should be that you can't bid on another spot until someone else kicks you out of a spot...if not, then people are just setting the the price for bid spots that they don't intend to have...which makes zero sense.

Seems fair to me as long at the higher seed (in this case mustacheman) doesn't bump up the value of the lower seed by an exorbitant amount. In an attempt to do the same thing again and screw everyone. He played this well but if he had bumped up the #5 slot to say a value of 10, only to move again and just to screw others, I would have objections.

Someone was willing to pay 6 for the #1 slot so this move is not unreasonable at all. I think its legal within boundaries

It may be "fair" by the rules, but the purpose of this entire exercise is to determine the value of each of the bid spots...this loophole circumvents that purpose.I move that the rule be changed to this..."you can't bid out of a spot"...period.

People need to be held accountable for their bids.

You can only bid out of your spot once there is another bid made after your initial bid. So if you bid 111 on spot #2, you could only bid out of your spot if someone else placed another bid after yours. I think the 111 bid would obviously be high enough where the smart move would be for everyone else to stand pat, since a bid that high would eliminate one team from contention.
