I'm going tomorrow and actually looking forward to it. German fans of American football are entertaining as hell.

I'll be the drunk one talking to the German chicks.

Wide receiver Marcus Maxwell, of the San Francisco 49ers, caught two scoring strikes from Bramlet while registering 127 yards on five receptions.
 Yes I know its NLF Europe but it gives us hope that he'll be good..

The Hamburg Sea Devils defeated the Frankfurt Galaxy 37-28 in what is expected to be the final World Bowl in NFL Europa.
Final World Bowl? Is the league being folded or are they just changing the name?Given that all but one of the teams is in Germany maybe the should call it the David Hasselhoff Bowl.

I've seen a few reports that have said the same thing. NFL Europa may be no more once this game is played. The NFL seems determined to host a few games every season in Europe somewhere, so with the real thing on the way, I guess they're axing the minor-league product.

It would be a real shame if the league ceases to exist after this season. The stadium is full and the fans appear to be into the game. I understand Germany is the only country where the sport is gaining steam, but why stop now?

Maxwell was great as was Bramlet and to a lesser extent JT O'Sullivan. Frankfurt's pass D was bad but some credit has to be given to Hamburg's coach who had a good gameplan. the fleeflicker for the score and the 20 yard iso-cross were great calls.

48,000 fans and the place was one of the loudest I've watched a game at and I've watched a lot of football games in my time. As far as the fans, they were pretty disappointed the Galaxy lost and I'd compare it to the disappointment NFL fans feel at the loss of a regular season home game. The core fans wear Galaxy jerseys and really get into the game.

Couple of other cool things about the game:

-Prior to the game (every NFL Europa game in Frankfurt) they have a huge festival on the grounds adjacent to the stadium. 40k fans throwing footballs, eating, drinking beer, and discussing football. Pretty cool.

-During the game a guy with a beer keg on his back comes through the isles for refills.

-Every team has their cheerleaders at the game and they rotate from station to station as the game progresses. Some top quality talent primed for the NFL sideline for certain.

Don't know the future of the league but the game is supported in Frankfurt for sure. This is my fifth game in Frankfurt and they always have nice crowds and a lot of enthusiasm. I think the future depends less on what the NFL is getting out of player development with the league than it does with the $ aspect of operating the league. But I can't say how other teams are supported.
