GL guys... making it to the final 250 is like making it to the final 3 in Survivor - for those of you who are fans of that show as well.

Could be a rough day for teams relying on major points from Cutler.

Royal and Scheffler are injured, bad weather in NY.

Luckily I've already got Romo's points in the bank so I won't mind a poor outing by Cutler this week.

Trust me on this, Cutler will have such a good day that 90%+ of his owners advance this week.

Why do you think so?I can see the Jets ramming the ball down the Broncos throats on the ground today with Jones and Leon, owning time of possession, then blanketing Royal on D.

It will be interesting to see how it goes.

98 of the 142 Cutler owners have Warner's decent game26 of the 142 Cutler owners have Romo's great game

20 of the Cutler owners own both Romo and Warner

4 of the Cutler owners have McNabb's great game (all of them own Warner as well)

Local league...I've basically needed one win to clinch for the last five weeks. Opponent has Cutler. Previous opponents have had Winslow, Brees, Gore for their game of the year v. me. More proof....CJ3 is on his team. Essentially a black cloud has been hanging over me all year. Lost a game on DJax's Monday Nite spike at the one yard line, lost another on the Pitt Def TD being incorrectly overturned.

This Cutler owner has Warner and Brees. I'd like to see either Brees or Cutler outscore Warner. The Saint/Tampa game has been sloppy so it will probably come down to Cuter if its going to happen. I may be one of the Cutler owners who don't make the cut this week.

how many times are Carolina players going to drop at the 1 foot line!! Thats twice for S. Smith leading to two 1 yard td runs by Williams. :goodposting:

At 164.8 after the early games. No need to panic...yet.

ETA: Oops, 163.8. That Rodgers INT hadn't updated yet.

I am taking a wild guess and saying I will end far from the cutline. I don't think anyone outside of BRees/Warner has smelled the 15 point barrier for me this week.

It was fun while it lasted. At least I have DeAngelo in my HTH league.

166.65 w/ Turner still to go and getting a 0 for our TE's (Z.Miller, Daniels, Keller), and Rice/Walter still to play, needing more than 9.5.

Thank you Mark Clayton and your 35 points you big stud, you!

How many points do you think a team needs to make this final cut? 200+?
My guess is, at least after the 1st round of games, the cutline isn't going to be anything crazy. Then again, all the teams left are stacked, so it won't drop too far either.Hopefully Ctriopelle will provide an estimate this afternoon.

Any guess at what the cutoff is going to be?

I'm at 194.75 with Slaton(-15.4), Kevin Walter (-15.5), Kris Brown (-14) and Jags(-2) to go.

184.15 with Slaton (-14) BUT 463 teams own him.

He should not affect the cut.

A damn fine time for the team to put up their biggest week of the year!!!

A big thank you to Mark Clayton this week...35pts!!!

I think the cutoff will be very high this week. Im at 174.3 with:

Garrard (-26.75)

MJD (-15.7)

Slaton (-15.7)

Walter (-8.55)

K. Brown (-3)

Now at 197.8. I have a few left, but the only one with a decent chance to help me is Reggie Williams -5.6. IIRC, the sim had the cutline just over 180, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was higher.

Just an estimate but I'm thinking DD has cut in the mid-high 180's before the Monday nighter. Walter and MJD are the two guys that could move that line up a bit. I just got that cut line by looking at some of the scores quoted and by looking at the fantasystar page.

Either way I'm about done at 181 with Slaton left, who won't affect the cut line because everyone has him. (Although if you have him and have no other rb, it can help).

I am going to need Slaton to throw up a number tomorrow if I have any chance of backdooring my way into the top 250. Ugh.

Big ups to Thomas Jones and Cutler for getting me close enough to make it a ballgame. I don't think I've ever gone past week 5 or 6 in this contest before and it's been a crazy ride...

Needing a miracle on Monday Night. Sitting at 150.55 right now, with only MJD (-7.90), Slaton (-7.50), Reggie Williams (-14.50), and Kris Brown (-7.00) left to play. I need monster games from both MJD and Slaton, and a double-digit score from Kris Brown wouldn't hurt either.

If this thread is any kind of sample, this week it's looking like everybody is at about the same spot.

I'm sweating it out with 180.45 plus Slaton (-12), Walter (-11.6), K Brown (-11), and Minn D (-6).

Very curious to see what the projected cut line will be. 185-195? 200?

Seems everybody has a couple of guys who blew up, but that may not be enough.

I'm at 161.95 with the VIKS DEF(-5), Slaton(-11) and Walter (-10.5). Could be close.

It helps that only 8 of us have Mark Clayton and he got us 35 pts, to go w/ Warner, LBJ, Keller, Bironas, and MEGATRON. Not to mention still having Walter (-9.5) to go :lmao:

Maybe I'm being optimistic, but I think the cut line will be lower than 175. Last week's games set an NFL record for points -- there are a lot more low-scoring games this week.

I picked a great time to have my best week of the year:

Outside of my kicker (K. Brown -2) my lowest score of the week is Steve Smith (14.5) for a current total of 207.45.

:excited:

Same here...the last 2 weeks have been my 2 highest scoring weeks of the year. Peaking at just the right time

Looks like I'll be making the finals at 193.25, thanks mainly to Romo, DeAngelo, and Chris Johnson, but also thanks to Donald Driver and Isaac Bruce. I still have Slaton, and while I doubt he'll outscore either of my big RBs, I've only got 8.0 at the flex right now, so he could definitely help improve on that. Also have Walter (-11.6) at WR.

Regardless, it'll be my 2nd-highest point total all year (208.05 in Week 4). Prior to this year, I never advanced past Week 9, so I'm having fun regardless!

Fantasy Star has me at 196.00 with Slaton (-11.6). :bag:

Guess that's going to put me in the playoffs? :)

That Rodgers guy has counted for me 8 times while that Warner scrub has only counted for me 5 times...

Still don't think I can hang with the big boys but top 250 ain't bad for my first time at this contest!

As of the start of today, only 7 teams still alive had K Matt Bryant.

Herman currently has Bryant ranked as the #1 K for the remainder of the season.

So I got that going for me... along with 6 other teams.

Wow, I didn't realize that going into this week only 16 teams Still Alive had ADP.I'd consider that a tremendous advantage in the final 250.

$53 for Peterson...the 2nd most expensive RB behind LT. The only problem with him is he doesn't get much via PPR/RecYds and cheaper options like Slaton and CJ4.2 make some of his scores unusable. Gotta respect the high ceiling factor of ADP though...he could do his 200/3 performance on any given Sunday.I picked most of the Sooners avaliable besides Mark Clayton since he was much more expensive than the other OU WR's. Obviously having Clayton this week would have been huge but who on my team would have been sacrificed? Bradley has been huge for me and even Brandon Jones has counted a few times. The funny thing is I picked with my heart for this contest and have just gotten lucky. IMHO this contest has a huge luck factor and those "filler" picks for $1-4 to fill a 22 man roster are the key to success. I changed those "value" picks around 5-6 times to maximize my money spent. I think my original team had DeWill and not DMac...but I was sitting at $249 and wanted to spend that last $1 so I ended up realigning my whole roster.Notice my RB's are all rookies besides Peterson. LOL
