Hiya, again -

With the success many have enjoyed it looks like a tie breaker will be needed to crown a 2008 Champion. Get your mind right in advance. Week 17 will require everybody to select 6 or more winners in order of preference for week 17, starting with *ONE* unused teams first. More info will be posted as that time nears.

Rules

The contest rules are very, very simple.

1. One entry per user name. To edit a selection, post a *correction*.

2. Select a NFL winner each week without duplicating the selection for the 2008 season. The weekly deadline is the team's kickoff.

3. Correct selections advance to the next week. Missed entries are out.

not fully understanding the tie break proposition ?!?

i think a better tie break would be to pick your wk17 final pick as usual

then use the playoffs through SB to decide a winner.

pick all 4 games in week one, then 4 games in wk 2 , 2 in wk3 , and SB

eliminate weekly or total up all games.

or

pick all playoff SB games before playoffs begin through super bowl, like a NCAA B bracket

ex. pick the 4 winners in wk1, take those 4 winners and predict who they will play (50-50 chance)and the results of that matchup for wk2, take those 4 and predict the conf. champs, then the super bowl winner. most correct wins. and make a total pt for SB guess be tiebreak

I have a suggestion for the tiebreaker if you are trying to come up with one. In addition to our standard pick, we could pick the winners for all games that week along with the total points scored for a game like Miami vs. Jets. We could put them in order of most certain to least like you suggested if you want. No one was planning to reserve teams for a final week showdown.

I think if it comes down to the tiebreaker that we should just have to pick the winners of all week 17 games and not have it come down to using previously unused teams. As Grid71 said, nobody was planning on having to have teams in reserve for tiebreaking purposes.
