2009 Free Agent List (1 Viewer)

Fullbacks

Rank Name Current Team Current Status

1. Heath Evans New England

2. Leonard Weaver Seattle

3. Tony Richardson N.Y. Jets

4. Lorenzo Neal Baltimore

5. Dan Kreider St. Louis Recently Cut/Street Free Agent

A stellar group this year - both top heavy and some diamonds in the rough:

Julius Peppers

Rey Lewis

Matt Cassell

Kurt Warner

Brandon Jacobs

TJ Housh

Antonio Bryant

Jordan Gross

Karlos Dansby

Nnamdi Asomugha

Albert Haynworth

Jeff Garcia

Brian Dawkins

Some teams have decisions to make - will Carolina pay both Peppers and Gross? Can the Cards franchise Warner and still sign Dansby? Will the Bucs let Garcia go or will they franchise Antionio Bryant? Will the Pats resign Cassel?

Here are some second and third tier guys that may make some money

JP Losman -

Patrick Ramsey - Just a hunch

Darren Sproles

Geoff Hangartner

Yeremiah Bell

Derrick Ward

Michael Boley

Owen Daniels

Khalif Barnes

Vernon Carey

Angelo Crowell

Igor Olshansky

Jonathan Vilma

If the Giants decide to pay Jacobs instead of Ward, I'd think Derrick has, at the least, earned himself quite a bit of money as an RB who would compete for a starting gig elsewhere. Not sure I consider him second tier . . .

I'm thinking that LT will be pushing for the Chargers to get Neal back, or perhaps even Richardson. LT may not be the same back he used to be, but I think the rumors of his demise are exaggerated - he needs help up front.

Does Dawkins have anything left? Could be a nice addition to New England's secondary (Dawkins and Merriweather at safety, assuming Rodney retires).

Personally I think hes still tremendous. He still flies around the field. Not sure how hes been in pass coverage, but in run support hes still near the top of his game.

Bryant has made himself quite a bit of money the last few weeks. Wouldn't be surprised to see him end up in Oakland. Quite a bit of talent at the tackle position as well.

I'm glad these lists were compiled but if these are this sites rankings... ouch. Cassel over Warner, Boller and Orlovsky at 4 and 5, Garcia and Lefty at 9 and 10. Brutal.

Owen Daniels is interesting. Owen, come back home to Wisconsin. We love you here.
I think he is restricted though. And Finley may have bought himself some good graces with the fade route yesterday. Not that I would not rather have Daniels. With about 20 mil in cap space and a GM who does not like to give up draft picks and a team that has some other more pressing needs, I don't see them getting close to Daniels.

Probably takes age into consideration would be my guess. While a team on the cusp could take the chance on Warner or Garcia...others can't afford to do so.Though, Boller being ranked anywhere is pretty brutal.

I hear ya. I love Finley long term. The guy's still only 21 I believe. However, I don't think he'll be ready next year. Lee's so-so and Humphrey's a free agent. Uck.But you're right. I'd rather see them spend on Haynesworth, Peppers, Sean Jones.....

Yeah...and if they want a receiving TE from Wisconsin...how about Beckum (if he is healthy by then).
