2009 NFL Draft - RB Combine Primer (1 Viewer)

All the people whose mock drafts have the first RB going to San Diego or later aren't going to get many picks right this year. There are some excellent players here.

Unless the NFL switched the draft again and I'm not aware of it, an early day 2 pick is the 3rd round, not 4th.

Good read, T D.

Yep. Day Two is third round and Greene is definitely on the borderline. There will be a max of six RBs going Day One. Moreno, McCoy, and Wells are locks. D.Brown and Greene have a lot riding on the Combine b/c of being relative one-year wonders. If Greene disappoints in 40, broad jump, and shuttle, he's no longer the flavor of the week. He could come out with outstanding tests and there be talk of him moving up, I don't rule that possibility out at all, but right now he is still riding high off one great year against mediocre Big Ten competition. If Moreno, McCoy, and Wells disappoint in tests at the Combine, their stock doesn't take nearly the same hit.

Well, this snippet specifically mentioned Rudi being a fourth-rounder and being a good comparison, so maybe I misunderstood:"Rudi Johnson is a good comparable on a few levels, and he was a fourth-round pick. Greene is probably an early Day Two pick."To me, the fourth round is still "an early Day Two pick."
