There are only 7 weeks left and he has 21 possible teams to choose from. Why pick Detroit who was only favored by 3, when there were six or seven other games with 10+ point favorites? I'm just curious to know what kind of strategy that is. It's almost as if he thought he would have to eventually pick Detroit.Why not? Three.. I have scrict rules to picking Suicide Pools , and the Lions were one of the few teams that fit the criteria.

#5 makes no sense. But even if you get knocked out down the road you can tell people you picked the Lions in a suicide pool and came out standing tall. That's worth something. I use and follow these set of rules (which I will not devulge) ....It is the basis of how I am alive in 3 suicide pools still and won a few the last few years..??

Nobody's giving him a hard time, and there's certainly no hate going around, although I probably did take it too far. I was just wondering why someone would throw in their chips on a 50/50 shot after 10 weeks when there are tons of other favorites to pick from. If there were only seventeen teams and we had to use them all it would totally make sense, it just didn't to me. So I asked.May the best man win!

Congrats to W-Banger, I was sure that you're in the casualties when I saw "CLE 37 DET 35 , 4th 0:00 left" on the top of the screen on CBS; but... "PENALTY CLE, PASS INTERFERENCE, 1st down DET at 1 yd LINE", and after that, touchdown... At least, admit you're a lucky guy!!!

We select one winner per week. Also, prior to week 17, we have 3 (or 4) tie breaking team winners selected. It is likey that the contest winenr(s) will select 20 total winners.
