Here are the basics:
- 16 team total points league with a slow serpentine draft.

- 4 hour pick limit. Timer shut off from Midnight to 8 AM Eastern time. Predraft if you suspect you will not be around for your pick. Participants that miss a pick can email a replacement pick to the commissioner (Anarchy) at any time. If someone misses more than one pick, commissioner will make a pick.

- 21 week season (Week 1 through the Super Bowl)

- No weekly lineup submittals, trades, drops, waiver wire claims, or roster moves at all. Rosters lock after the draft ends. Once the draft is over, you are done for the season.

- ALL players on rosters will count each and every week. The team with the highest point total after the Super Bowl will be declard league champion.

- Rosters will be comprised of 2 TEAM QB, 4 RB, 5 WR, 2 TE, 1 FLEX (RB/WR/TE), 2 PK, 2 DEF

- Scoring system outlined in League Scoring section but two important points are all TD = 6 points and RB = 0 PPR, WR = 1 PPR, and TE = 2 PPR.

Draft to be conducted at this site but may or may not be hosted here (may be moved to another site.)

Just sent David an email letting him know I have to bow out.

I'm currently visiting my in-laws in New Mexico until August 8th. We just arrived last night and I was originally told that they would have wifi available for my laptop. Unfortunately, they do not and I won't have ease of access to the internet during our stay.

Corporal Punishment will not be returning this season...

Haven't heard from David and draft is tomorrow. If I haven't been replaced I can do a little predrafting, and can probably check in about once every 24 hours or so, but I was trying not to keep you guys waiting on me... I'll go ahead and check in and put in a few predraft picks now, but I will not be offended if David replaces me either.

I got the impression you wanted to bow out, so I found a replacement.

1.07 Indy Team QB

possibly safest pick in the draft and pretty good bet for the extra playoff points......

I could give you someone else if you'd rather (as long as it's quickly).

I love when we get to wait 11+ hours for a pick when the person up has visited MFL while on the clock.
I love when guys act like a doosh....fwiw...not a fan of pre-drafting right here with not sure what direction to head if something slips...and I got caught by the time zone difference (CO/mst two hours behind clock)...so the clock is tough if I get caught on the wrong side....went to bed early as I haven't been feeling well......my son got on the website later that night when he was doing whatever he does, he has an interest in FF and follows these with me (he does a league with friends)....told me this morning as we are both leaving for work that I was up.....made my pick within my four hours so lighten up francis......I have been quick on the picks and as a majority in here can attest have been trying to send emails when people are up to help keep things moving along.....but whatever....good luck.......

I'm going to be out all day so I predrafted next 3 rounds(which I hate, but whatever). If there's a mad rush of drafting I won't be around again until late tonight for round 11.

I'm up, but the site seems to be down. Just wanted everyone to know that I am trying. Don't want to get scolded by anyone

OK, finally able to get on and pick. Half-way through I'm happy with my team. Now we'll see if I can find those gems within the rubble that's left.

Texans, Houston HOU TMQB - 7

Forsett, Justin SEA RB - 5

Thomas, Pierre NOS RB (P) - 10

Johnson, Andre HOU WR - 7

Knox, Johnny CHI WR - 8

Rice, Sidney MIN WR (Q) - 4

Heap, Todd BAL TE - 8

Miller, Zach OAK TE - 10

Vikings, Minnesota MIN Def

If Houston can finally break through and make the playoffs and Rice recovers from his hip I think I'll be a top team.

some commentary on my draft. it didn't go quite as planned -- i made some adjustments on the fly where i saw value falling...

1.06 Clark, Dallas IND TE

this is the guy i was hoping for at 1.06. i might have taken him as high as 1.01 in this format.

2.11 Austin, Miles DAL WR

i was hoping for another one of the top 5 TEs here (clark, gates, davis, witten, finley), but they all got taken in front of me. i was pretty happy with austin as a consolation prize, though. a top fantasy WR on a team that could go deep into the playoffs. and if you look at the other anarchy drafts, he usually went a little earlier than this, so i feel like i got some decent value.

3.06 Jackson, Steven STL RB

silly that he fell this far.

4.11 Shockey, Jeremy NOS TE

5.06 Olsen, Greg CHI TE

i decided before my 4.11 pick that i was going to fill my flex position with a TE, as long as i could get one of the top 15 or so TEs in that flex spot. i saw a pretty big drop-off in value after that level, and olsen was the last TE i was willing to take this early. so 3 out of my top 5 picks have been TEs now. i liked the advantage i was likely to have at that position, but i was a little nervous watching all the RBs and WRs fly off the board. (i would have my turn. patience.)

6.11 Jets, New York NYJ Def

7.06 Ravens, Baltimore BAL Def

the jets are much better in my opinion than any of the other defenses. plus they're a likely playoff team, which is a nice bonus. i just have to hope they work things out with revis. if they don't, it's still a good defense, but obviously much better with revis in there.

baltimore was my #2 defense (again, by a pretty decent margin), and i figured i'd grab them and maybe start a run on defenses in the process. no one bit on that, but it's ok because the value was there, anyway.

8.11 Williams, Carnell TBB RB

not thrilled with this pick. he was the RB i liked best of what was available, but i don't have high hopes. i knew my RBs and WRs were going to suffer, since i was spending so many picks on other, non-premium positions (or at least they would be non-premium positions in other formats -- here, i'm not so sure).

9.06 Chiefs, Kansas City KCC TMQB

i started thinking about taking a kicker at this point, but QBs were going fast, so i figured i'll take cassel and company as my first team QB. i think they're better than the consensus ranking, but obviously not a top flight offense yet.

10.11 Crosby, Mason GBP PK

11.06 Longwell, Ryan MIN PK

ok, here was my thought on kickers -- it doesn't really matter too much who you have, as long as you're pretty confident he's going to play all season. guys who are a little more injury prone and guys who don't have great job security are not good picks in this format. (for example, i like vinatieri, but i wouldn't want him in this format.) so although i don't see a whole lot of difference in terms of expected points over the course of the season between the top guys and the bottom tier guys, i wanted a few of the top guys just to have that security. because if a guy gets hurt or doesn't keep his job, that's a good 100 to 150 points down the drain, not just the 20 or 30 points that would separate the guys if they played a full season. so i took crosby and longwell -- one of these guys is going to make the playoffs (and maybe both of them) -- and they both have good job security.

12.11 Buccaneers, Tampa Bay TBB TMQB

not too excited about the QBs left at this point, but i liked freeman a decent amount better than the other choices, and nothing really jumped out at the other positions to the point that i'd be real disappointed if i missed someone.

13.06 McCluster, Dexter KCC WR

this is my #2 WR, taken in the 13th round. obviously i made a strategic decision along the way that i would try to get by without spending a lot of top picks on WRs, but i like getting a guy who might catch a lot of balls.

14.11 Washington, Leon SEA RB

15.06 Ward, Derrick TBB RB

not thrilled with either of these guys, but i needed RBs. ward was sort of a hedge, since i also have c.williams, but even if williams keeps the job, ward should see 500 or 600 yards this year between rushing and receiving.

16.11 Washington, Nate TEN WR

17.06 Johnson, Steve BUF WR

18.11 Pre-Draft Selection Made (Edit)

and the last 3 picks are WRs to fill out the lineup.

i'm at a pretty big disadvantage at RB, WR and QB, but hopefully the guys i picked are good enough that my (expected) advantage at the other positions isn't wasted. we'll see how it shakes out. very different strategy this year than i had last year. i finished 5th or 6th last year, which is fine i guess, but i'm trying something different to see if i can win.

QB's - I loved getting the Pats at 1.12. I really wanted to take a TE at this spot but there were still 5 TE's on the board that I would have been thrilled with in this format so I waited. I was also pretty pleased that I was able to get another QB that I think is going to put up big numbers this year.

------

Bears, Chicago CHI TMQB

Patriots, New England NEP TMQB

RB's - - Love my backs as well. I think I got two guys who will get goal line carries and two guys that will see more action in the passing game.

------

Barber, Marion

Bradshaw, Ahmad

Jones, Thomas

Slaton, Steve

WR's - This is where my team falls apart. This core of WR's is just ugly and I am clearly hoping my TE's can help carry this group.

------

Gonzalez, Anthony

LaFell, Brandon

Meachem, Robert

Schilens, Chaz OAK

Williams, Roy

TE's - Owens is a guy I have been targeting in most of my drafts. I absolutely love him this year and think he is a great value coming off his injury. I think he can easily finish in the top 5 at his position. I was really pleased getting Cooley as well. I see McNabb going to him quite often and I felt he was pretty much a steal in this format at 4.5

Cooley, Chris

Daniels, Owen

Fasano, Anthony

Dont care about kickers or D

Cundiff, Billy

Rackers, Neil

Bears

Panthers

As usual I punted TEs in these. I feel pretty good about the quality and 'value' I got at WR and RB, but I'm a bit apprehensive about any kind of postseason push from my squad.

Jaguars, Jacksonville JAC TMQB

Saints, New Orleans NOS TMQB

Choice, Tashard DAL RB

McCoy, LeSean PHI RB

Sproles, Darren SDC RB

Wells, Chris ARI RB

Bess, Davone MIA WR

Houshmandzadeh, T.J. SEA WR

Jennings, Greg GBP WR

Johnson, Calvin DET WR

Manningham, Mario NYG WR

Moss, Santana WAS WR

Bennett, Martellus DAL TE

Fells, Daniel STL TE

Akers, David PHI PK

Folk, Nick NYJ PK

Giants, New York NYG Def

Rams, St. Louis STL Def

3.06 Jackson, Steven STL RB

silly that he fell this far.
Yeah, he was taken at 2.09, so I'm sure a few of us, at least I did, set up our predrafts while he was unavailable. That whole pick change fiasco changed that wraparound quite a bit. Jackson just fell into your lap.

Sadly, there has never been a good way to rectify the missed pick problem. People that miss picks want the ability to get whomever they want. People that picked after them will want that guy but can't get them if they predrafted. In the past, the computer generated computer pick could be horrible (like someone injured or retired). This year, the ADP picks were generally ok.

Even if people are somewhat quick about letting me know who they want instead, I can't be only 24/7, so on occasion it could be a while before I can swap players. And if the replacement pick was taken after they notified me, then what?

I'm afraid there isn't a great solution, although I am open to suggestions . . .

Totally understand. Didn't mean to come off as whiny or anything, I've got no problem with how you handled it. Now if this thing had some kind of 3 or 4 digit entrance fee that would be a different situation. I'm just here to enjoy myself and have another thing to keep track of during the year. Was just pointing out why he fell that far.

i think MFL allows the commish to roll the draft back to a particular pick and start over from there. obviously that's not something you want to do if too many picks have been made after the pick that got screwed up. another potential issue here is that someone that already made a pick after the pick you roll back to may not be around for a while, and their pick, which they thought they already made, might get timed out -- of course you could always turn the draft timer off until everything got back to normal.

what exactly did happen there with Jackson...?....curious as I didn't really follow the situation at the time, but wondered why he was back in the mix all of a sudden.....can somebody give me the 5 cent tour...?

Someone timed out and was given Jackson based on ADP. Theree were several teams that had auto drafted and got their players. Whoever got Jackson didn't want him, so that owner emailed me and subbed him out for another player. But by then a number of picks had been made so Jackson fell farther than he should have based mostly on the number of picks made in the interim.

kinda what I thought happened......just a thought, but maybe if someone times out, maybe they should just be stuck with whoever is given to them (kind of as a penalty for timing out and not pre drafting) otherwise it kind of defeats the purpose of a clock if they can go back after a time out and pick from what is still out there....best case scenerio would be that if they timeout, they don't get anyone (skip pick) and then they can email commish later with a list of guys in order and if any are left when commish gets it, he can make the change.....not sure if MFL can be set up to "not give out a player" when someone times out......and if worried about the time lapse between the guy sending commish an email and the commish making the change, then time out guy can put his pick on the message board for everyone to see immediately and guys will know not to pick that guy even though he would still be available in the pool of players....as mentioned there probably isn't a perfect solution with the pre darft lists added to the mix, but it kind of sucks for those guys right after time out guy that they couldn't have had a shot at Jackson and just because of timing he becomes a great value for someone way late.......

I jumped into the draft after somebody quit at the last minute. Unfortunately he predrafted round 2 & I didn't notice this. I would have lived with the Jackson pick but DY very nicely offered to replace it if I got back to him in a timely manner.Truely sorry if it messed up anyone's plan

Don't worry about it. One player is likely not going to be the difference between winning and losing, especially a RB on a non contending franchise.

The final standings aren't including playoff points for some reason so it doesn't show me in first but I'm pretty sure I won. Correct me if I'm wrong. I think I went wire-to-wire in this one. In fact I think my 3430 score is tops in all Anarchy pools this year.

:coffee: So how much did I win???
