Buffalo - C.J. Spiller - Get (eventually he will get his chance to shine)

Miami - Ricky Williams (1b) - Ignore, Kory Sheets - Ignore (no one comes back from an achillies tear successfully). The Dolphins will draft a RB.

New England - Danny Woodhead - Get, Fred Taylor - Ignore, Thomas Clayton - Ignore

NYJ - Shonn Green - Get, Joe McKnight - Ignore (never been a believer in his talent)

Balt - Willis McGahee - Ignore (he's gone probably and do you really want him?), Jalen Parmele - Get (we will see, not sure about him however), Le'Ron Mclain - Get (can't ignore what he did in 2008)

Cincy - Bernard Scott - Get (he's a must have IMO, I think he will be a starter soon), Cedric Perrman - Ignore

Cleveland - Monterio Hardesty - Get (still not convinced in Hillis long term no matter what he does), Mike Bell - Ignore

Pittsburgh - Isaac Redman - Get (must have for Mendy owners and if Mendy starts putting the ball on the ground Redman is there waiting for his opportunity), Jonathan Dwyer - Get (and I say this with a smirk. He looked terrible early on)

Hou - Ben Tate - Ignore (I thought he was overrated even before the injury), Derrick Ward - Ignore, Steve Slaton - Ignore

Indy - Donald Brown - Ignore (no vision), Mike Hart - Get (imo the best RB in Indy this year when Addia was hurt), Indy may draft or trade for another RB

Jax - Rashad Jennings - Get, Deji Kariim - Get (both of these backups are probably a must have for MJD)

Tenn - Javon Ringer - Get (shows enough talent for anyone to have, but is a must have for Chris Johnson owners)

Denver - Lance Ball - Ignore, C Buckhalter - Ignore, Laurence Maroney - Ignore

Kansas City Chiefs - Thomas Jones - Ignore (except for Charles owners, will this guy ever go away)

Oak - Michael Bush - Get (could be starting for a lot of teams)

San Diego - Mike Tolbert - Get (must have for Mathews owners too), Darren Sproles - Ignore

Dallas - Marion Barber - Ignore (he's gone and won't do squat anywhere else), Tashard Choice - Get (must have for anyone IMO)

NYG - Brandon Jacobs - Get (I know I know, he's in his late 20s and his running style is murder), Ware - Get (will start to get more touches next year)

Philly - Jerome Harrison - Get (must have for McCoy owners), Eldra Buckley - Ignore

Wash - James Davis - Get (not sure of his talent just yet, but he's better than Keiland Williams), Keiland Williams - Ignore, Andre Brown - Ignore (hard to say ignore for any Shanahan RB, but no RB has ever come back effectively from an achillies injury he had)

Bears - Chester Taylor - Ignore, Kahil Bell - Ignore, Garrett Wolf - Ignore

Det - Kevin Smith (mildly say Jahvid Best owner should get him, not believer in his talent), Aaron Brown - Ignore

Packers - Brandon Jackson - Ignore (once Grant comes back he's a backup), James Starks - Get (too much hype for this guy, but he's still a buy), D Nance - Ignore, John Kuhn - Get (I like this guy and TD heavy leagues could do worse)

MIN - Toby Gehart - Get (only for Peterson owners)

Atl - Jason Snelling - Get (good guy to have regardless if you're a Turner owner, he's got skills), Antone Smith - (can't say I know anything about him), Gartrell Johnson - Ignore

CAR - DeAngelo Williams - Get (starter when he wasn't hurt, might get traded), Mike Goodson - Get (showed enough to see the talent), Tyrell Sutton - Get (hopefully Williams is traded)

NO - Reggie Bush - Ignore in non-ppr leagues, Chris Ivory - Get, Julius Jones - Ignore

TB - Caddy Williams - Ignore, K Huggins - Get, Kregg Lumpkin - Not sure

ARIZ - Beanie Wells - Get (not giving up just yet), LaRod Stephens-Howling - Ignore

SEA - Justin Forsett - Ignore (I don't care for him), Leon Washington - Ignore

STL - Kenneth Darby - Ignore (not much talent)

Some good points there.I picked up Hart ,Davis,Ware in my deep dynasty league hoping 1 or 2 might take the step up.

Nice rundown. Just wanted to point out you forgot Ben Tate in Houston.
Thanks for the reminder on Tate. I updated the OP. I also didn't include too many practice squad players, some of which will probably play a role in 2011.

Great post JU....you are consistently one of the must read posters. I have Ringer and Ware stashed but I'm not a CJ or Bradshaw owner, so I may be trying to trade them in the offseason.

I appreciate the post. This thread would be more effective if I had put the time in to include the practice squad players.

Ignore all even Torrain IMO because I think Shanny will be looking to find another highly motivated rookie.

Especially with Torain's injury history and Shanny's past history of going through RBs like Abe Virgoda goes through depends.

OP's listing was quite good. Who of this bunch still looks solid after the draft and with free agency hopefully looming as the labor picture slightly improve?

Snelling? He voiced that he's looking for a larger role, with the Falcons or elsewhere. Rotoworld's spin is that he's strictly a comittee back. Has anyone who's seen him play much confirm or deny this? Kirwan of Sirius NFL Radio sees Ronnie and Ricky both departing, and pegged Snelling as a perfect fit for the Dolphins, presumably paired up with the rookie Thomas.

B Scott is intriguing but too much chatter about the coaching staff not trusting him with too large a workload. As long as the idiot coach is there, I see Scott as having minimal value unless Benson departs or gets hurt.

I wonder if Gerhart will get more touches this year or if he'll still take a huge back seat to AP. Hard to take AP off the field, but may be in his long term interest to scale his touches back just a bit.

Parmele in Baltimore is intriguing assuming McGahee leaves. I think they'd keep McClain at FB.

Interesting how a draft can change things, I imagine FA will do so as well.

Buffalo - C.J. Spiller - Get (eventually he will get his chance to shine) Can we even consider him a backup? This isn't a guy you get on the cheap, hoping for a sneaky starter. I wouldn't mind having Johnny White on the end of my roster.

Miami - Ricky Williams (1b) - Ignore, Kory Sheets - Ignore (no one comes back from an achillies tear successfully). The Dolphins will draft a RB.The Dolphins drafted a RB, but I expect Ronnie or DeAngelo to be taking most of the carries. JMO, I don't see a team with Chad Henne relying on Thomas as the lead guy. I think they want a LOT of backs.

New England - Danny Woodhead - Get, Fred Taylor - Ignore, Thomas Clayton - Ignore Wouldn't surprise me one bit if Woodhead continues getting his looks. Anyone that thinks they know who gets all the work here is braver than me.

NYJ - Shonn Green - Get, Joe McKnight - Ignore (never been a believer in his talent)Whoever the top beckup here is, he's not on the team now. If Greene gets replaced, it'll be by some new face.

Balt - Willis McGahee - Ignore (he's gone probably and do you really want him?), Jalen Parmele - Get (we will see, not sure about him however), Le'Ron Mclain - Get (can't ignore what he did in 2008) Not buying the Parmele cult. He's never gotten the ball, and the Ravens would let him go for a 6th. I'll take MaGahee, on the chance he goes somewhere with a fragile starter.

Cincy - Bernard Scott - Get (he's a must have IMO, I think he will be a starter soon), Cedric Perrman - Ignore I think if the Bengals thought they could save some cash by letting Benson go, they would. As someone intrigued by Scott, I am nervous that the Bengals have made it clear re-signing Benson is a top priority. 27 years old, can't keep Brian Leonard off the field.....liked him as a rookie, think the window is closing.

Cleveland - Monterio Hardesty - Get (still not convinced in Hillis long term no matter what he does), Mike Bell - Ignore Might be a guy I go after, for sure. Still an unknown, and I think Cleveland is a team doing the right things, if not 'on the rise' quite yet. Agree that Hillis makes me nervous long-term. Think he works as part of a RBBC.

Pittsburgh - Isaac Redman - Get (must have for Mendy owners and if Mendy starts putting the ball on the ground Redman is there waiting for his opportunity), Jonathan Dwyer - Get (and I say this with a smirk. He looked terrible early on) I like Redman, but not worried about him taking over as a lead back anywhere. He's a backup. Dwyer? Wouldn't waste my time.

Hou - Ben Tate - Ignore (I thought he was overrated even before the injury), Derrick Ward - Ignore, Steve Slaton - Ignore If Foster goes down, there has to be some value here. I assume the Tate owner is holding, I might try and get Slaton for a song. I doubt there's nothing here, just hard to see how carries break down if Arian goes down.

Indy - Donald Brown - Ignore (no vision), Mike Hart - Get (imo the best RB in Indy this year when Addia was hurt), Indy may draft or trade for another RB I think people that believe in Brown are just stubborn at this point. He won't overtake Addai, and would probably get outplayed by Hart in a RBBC. Delone Carter is interesting, but there's a lot of bodies here, not sure anyone gets cut just to make room for him.

Jax - Rashad Jennings - Get, Deji Kariim - Get (both of these backups are probably a must have for MJD) I want Jennings if MJD goes down, Karim I would assume gets nothing more than spell duties.

Tenn - Javon Ringer - Get (shows enough talent for anyone to have, but is a must have for Chris Johnson owners)I think he's just a handcuff, and I wonder if the Titans whole offense doesn't collapse if CJ goes down. Seems to have backup role all to himself, which is nice.

Denver - Lance Ball - Ignore, C Buckhalter - Ignore, Laurence Maroney - Ignore Lordy. I don't want the starter either. FA has to bring a guy, right?

Kansas City Chiefs - Thomas Jones - Ignore (except for Charles owners, will this guy ever go away) Will probably have one more year as an emergency starter, maybe vulture some TDs. Nothing else here, including Jackie Battle, who sucks.

Oak - Michael Bush - Get (could be starting for a lot of teams) I think he's terribly overrated. Nice piece of a committee, and can take over a game here or there, but in the long run is soft. Hold, and if he leaves in FA this year or next, sell, sell sell!

San Diego - Mike Tolbert - Get (must have for Mathews owners too), Darren Sproles - Ignore I am not ignoring Sproles, he'll go somewhere where he can get PT, and can put up RB3 numbers with 5 carries. Tolbert, if Mathews disappoints again, could Tolbert take the job?

Dallas - Marion Barber - Ignore (he's gone and won't do squat anywhere else), Tashard Choice - Get (must have for anyone IMO) Going to be a weird year for RB in Dallas if Jones can't take the lead job. I think Choice is nice, but strictly a backup.

NYG - Brandon Jacobs - Get (I know I know, he's in his late 20s and his running style is murder), Ware - Get (will start to get more touches next year) Agree. I think Jacobs has at least two years left of helping fantasy owners. If Bradshaw leaves, his value skyrockets.

Philly - Jerome Harrison - Get (must have for McCoy owners), Eldra Buckley - Ignore I don't think Dion Lewis changes much, unless you think he is a steal, and can beat out Harrison for backup duties. Always liked Harrison, but he is strictly a short term answer if McCoy goes down.

Wash - James Davis - Get (not sure of his talent just yet, but he's better than Keiland Williams), Keiland Williams - Ignore, Andre Brown - Ignore (hard to say ignore for any Shanahan RB, but no RB has ever come back effectively from an achillies injury he had) Redskins backfield will be a clear as the Pats, and there's a lot less gold in them thar hills. Someone else can try and figure this one out.

Bears - Chester Taylor - Ignore, Kahil Bell - Ignore, Garrett Wolf - Ignore I think it's pretty clearly Taylor, and Forte's upright style lends itself to dings. I'll take him.

Det - Kevin Smith (mildly say Jahvid Best owner should get him, not believer in his talent), Aaron Brown - Ignore It's Leshoure, for sure. I hope Smith lands on his feet eslewhere.

Packers - Brandon Jackson - Ignore (once Grant comes back he's a backup), James Starks - Get (too much hype for this guy, but he's still a buy), D Nance - Ignore, John Kuhn - Get (I like this guy and TD heavy leagues could do worse) I think Grant is the backup to get, and Starks takes lead role. Is Starks overrated? Sure, but it's not often a 6th round flier has such a quick shot at the lead role for an offense like this. Grant is probably a steal at this point.

MIN - Toby Gehart - Get (only for Peterson owners) If ADP goes down, I wonder if any Viking is worth owning.

Atl - Jason Snelling - Get (good guy to have regardless if you're a Turner owner, he's got skills), Antone Smith - (can't say I know anything about him), Gartrell Johnson - Ignore Snelling is in the Michael Turner position, FA on the horizon. Hold one more year if you ahve him, maybe you strike gold.

CAR - DeAngelo Williams - Get (starter when he wasn't hurt, might get traded), Mike Goodson - Get (showed enough to see the talent), Tyrell Sutton - Get (hopefully Williams is traded) DeAngelo is going to leave in FA, taking the job of some back fantasy owners are counting on (Moreno, D. Thomas?). J. Stewart hysteria returns! Grab Goodson for stats following the JStew foot injury.

NO - Reggie Bush - Ignore in non-ppr leagues, Chris Ivory - Get, Julius Jones - Ignore I might throw out a lowball offer to a Bush owner, hoping he gets a nice RBBC role after Nawlins cuts him.

TB - Caddy Williams - Ignore, K Huggins - Get, Kregg Lumpkin - Not sure If I can't have Blount, I don't want any of these guys.

ARIZ - Beanie Wells - Get (not giving up just yet), LaRod Stephens-Howling - Ignore I still think Beanie gets the most carries, but might just be a bit of a wuss.

SEA - Justin Forsett - Ignore (I don't care for him), Leon Washington - Ignore Wow. Lynch, Forsett, Washington, Chris Henry, Michael Robinson. Team Coulda Been. Give me Leon I guess.

SF - Brian Westbrook - Ignore (except for Gore owners, but I'm not sure he comes back for another year), Anthony Dixon (must have for Gore owners and I believe a must have for anyone) I was going after Dixon, thinking he was a sneaky play when Gore's contract was up after 2011. Now it looks like it could be Hunter with a crack at at the starting job. I doubt any team wants to pay Gore big money for more than a year after this season, and Hunter could find himself starting for the 49ers soon.

STL - Kenneth Darby - Ignore (not much talent)Are the Rams aware that it is OK to have another RB?

:goodposting: i pretty much agree with everything.i might include *GASP* Allen Bradford in tampa... lol. i know theres alot of non believers roaming in the pool but i think he has the goods.

anyone know anything about anthony allen out of GT going to the ravens. havent seen or heard much of anything about him but does he have a shot at the backup role if mcgahee is gone? imo parmele is a career special teamer.

I think Anthony Allen beats Parmele easily imo.Just watch this:

I think FA's like Mario Fannin/Nic Grigsby/Chad Spann might be worth something if they land in ATL or STL. Good landing spots like Blount to TB last year.

Baron Batch is the backup for Mendenhall most likely.

I am buying Johnny White in Buffalo, Tolbert in San Diego, Mike Goodson in Carolina, Allen Bradford in Tampa.

Chester Taylor might be interesting - yes, he is ancient, but with little competition and Forte is due for an injury.

In deep, deep leagues, I will gladly use a spot on Lex Hilliard, Jordan Todman, maybe Danny Ware or DaRel Scott.

Dwyer + Redman could be gold mid-season. If Mendenhall crumbles under the 1,000,000 carries, I think Pittsburgh goes to one of the two as a main guy instead of spreading the carries. Baron Batch is intriguing, but what are the odds he makes the roster ahead of the Dwyer, Redman, Moore?

Delone Carter, Rashad Jennings are too obvious at this point. Toby Gerhart costs too much usually.

Forsett and Bernard Scott are great value lottery tickets. Both clearly outperformed the main guy (Benson, Lynch) in ypc and offer upside in the passing game. Both suffer from the major mistrust of the coaching staffs, but this changes quickly with 1-2 good games. I am buying both if I can get as FAs.

Staying away from the Jets, Tennessee, Baltimore, Houston. All of these turn into two- or even three-player RBBCs if the main guy goes down.

I love FF but what probably maddens me the most about this hobby is the bolded part above. Yes, I'm a husky guy who sits on the couch on Sundays. But what are these coaches thinking? Give the more explosive guys the bulk of the carries, and if they break down, your 3.2 ypc plodders are fresh sitting on the bench and awaiting insertion.
