2011 In Season Dynasty Trade Thread (1 Viewer)

16 team 0.5 PPRThe sort of trade that as Commish I hate to process.Team A gaveMatt MooreDeangelo Wiliams2nd4thTeam B gaveAlex SmithI #### you not. Team A didn't have a QB this week as they are all on bye but come on.
It's defensible at least. It's obvious that Team B took advantage of the situation and grabbed Team A by the balls - but to be completely honest take away the second rounder and it's not all that bad (that's how far Williams' value has fallen).

Anyone got any idea of a dynasty value for Brandon Gibson, WR for STL? Been offered a late 2nd & late 3rd next year for him and am considering pulling the trigger. Thought he'd have a decent shot at good numbers this year, especially when Amendola went down, but he seems to just not have 'it'. With Clayton coming back after the bye, I think targets get even more slim. Anyone have any advice here? Would be much appreciated>

Take it and run. He'll never be a guy that you'll start and perhaps you hit the lottery on one of the picks.

12 team standard scoring PPR dynasty where I started 1-3

Traded:

Fred Jackson

Roddy White

Antonio Brown

Christian Ponder

2nd round pick

for

Chris Wells

Toby Gerhart

A.J. Green

1st round pick

12 Teamer

Team A gets Matt Cassel QB KC

Team B gets 2013 1st round pick #12 (12th overall)

I haven't looked yet, but I'll assume that there were zero available starting QBs for this week on the WW, and that Team A's QB(s) were on a bye.

If not, I cannot justify this trade...

12 team standard scoring PPR dynasty where I started 1-3Traded:Fred Jackson, Roddy White, Antonio Brown, Christian Ponder, 2nd round pickforChris Wells, Toby Gerhart, A.J. Green, 1st round pick
With the same team I just did two more trades:Gave: Knowshon Moreno, Willis McGahee, Randall Cobb, Fred DavisGot: Frank Gore, Anthony Davis, Lee Evans, Marcedes LewisGave: Frank GoreGot: Cam NewtonI lost RB and WR depth but I really wanted Cam Newton. His owner has Rodgers and Jamal Charles, so was looking to move Cam for a RB.Roster is now:QB: Newton, Freeman, Roethlisberger, Campbell, Tebow (so you can see why I wanted Cam)RB: Peterson, Wells, Lynch, Harrison, Keiland Williams, Gerhart, DixonWR: Fitzgerald, Green, Marshall, Avant, Simpson, V. BrownTE: Gates, Gresham, LewisK: HansonD/ST: Baltimore, Arizona3 2012 1st round picks

20 team non ppr league

Gave: Brent Celek, 2013 1st, 2013 3rd (my team is pretty stacked so I expect the first to be in the 15-20 range)

Got: 2012 first from the team that has had the worst record in the league the last two years and is off to a 1-3 start.

Hated to do this one but I with Romo on bye I didn't have a backup QB and was fairly deep at WR.

Gave: Antonio Brown

Got: Matt Cassell

Sent Chris. Johnson

Rec G. Jennings & Addai

Was getting sick if CJ. Our league allows start 1RB and 3WR or 2WR and 2TE. Scoring really boosts WR and TE and now with Jennings & Finley, I should rec 75% of the packers fantasy points. Sad I have to explain it while posting. Probably means mild regret and slight mistake on my side...

12 team PPR dynasty

I gave: Peyton Manning, Harvin

I got: Cam Newton

I had great WR depth (Nicks, Smitty, Bowe, Marshall, D. Moore, Meachem, etc.) and Cutler wasn't getting it done at QB

3 team deal

16 team idp, ppr

Team A gets Beanie Wells, Alfonso Smith, Jason Witten, Richard Seymour

(gave up charles, battle, chandler, pitta, austin colie)

Team B gets Jamal Charles, jackie battle, Scott Chandler, Dennis Pitta, Austin Colie

(Team b gives up Javhid best, marshall, miller, richard seymour)

Team C Jahvid Best, Brandon Marshall, Heath Miller

(Team C gives beanie, alfonso smith, jason witten)

Several deals went down yesterday in HyperActive 1

A gave: McGahee/Floyd

B gave: McCluster/LaFell

A gave: Ray Rice/Boldin

C gave: Leshoure/Ry Williams/2012 1st (team is 4-1 currently)

A gave: Roddy White

D gave: McMichael/2012 1st (team is 2-3)/2013 1st

C gave: Jordy Nelson

D gave: Dalton

A gave: Eli Manning

D gave: Ponder/2012 2nd

A is 2-3, but selling pieces

C and D are both 4-1 and have strong teams

My league is a bit different, in that we have to start one rookie along with a more standard 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, TE, and kicker. We have 30 players on the roster, but here were my main guys:

QB - Bradford and A. Smith (had Manning, kind of stuck here)

RB - McCoy, F. Jackson, Gore, Lynch

WR - Calvin, Bowe, Gaffney, Doucet, Ford, Ocho, Simpson, Benn

TE - Graham and H. Miller

K - who cares

Rookie - D. Carter, Vereen, and V. Brown

We have contracts, so here's the trade: Gore (2 years left), Miller (1), and a 3rd round pick for Andy Dalton (4), Greg Olsen (1), and Branch (1)

This give me a rookie, backup TE, and potential #3 WR in exchange for Gore, who, while good, was my #3 RB. BTW, the other team is 2-3 and low in points and really only has Forte at RB. So now he'll have Forte and Gore going into next season.

So a really bad team trades it's first round pick next season for a good team's first round pick in 2013?Why?

A gave: Ray Rice/BoldinC gave: Leshoure/Ry Williams/2012 1st (team is 4-1 currently)
Interesting. I took both Williams and LeShoure in one league and couldn't get anything close to this value.
These kind of trades crack me up. My guess is that Team A thinks it's rebuilding, but it's actually giving away one of the best young RBs in the league for a bunch of question marks that aren't great bets to pan out.

Wow, so whoever has Newton (assuming they are strong at the standard QB position) must be killing it in your league, at least this year, huh? That's like a one-team-only QB-flex play right there.

:goodposting:This trade certainly puzzled me. When I saw it, I figured the 1st must have be for a sure fire top 1-2 pick. Surprised to see it was for a VERY competitive team.

14-team PPR with 1ppr for RB/WR and 1.5 for TEs; also 14 college players per season.

Team A sent:

- Tampa Mike

- J.Simpson

- M.Ryan

- N.Washington

for

Team B sent:

- A.Jeffery

- M.Sanu

- B.Gabbert

- M.Cassel

So I'm guessing A is angling his team to get 1.1. Are there other teams so bad in the league he had do give up Rice though? That Rice trade is ugly no matter how bad you want that 1.1.

While he never came out and said he was making a play for the 1.01, he posted guys he would sell for youth and picks. There is one other team that is 0-5 at this point. ConnSKINS26-Basically. The team that drafted Newton (at #6, after Ingram, Green, Williams, Thomas, and Jones) also has Stafford and is 4-1 after going 5-8 last season. He's 2nd in scoring (about 70 points behind the top team and just a few points ahead of #3 and #4) even though he's had some RB injuries and has no real WR2 after Fitzgerald. Still, being able to start Stafford and Newton every week is a huge advantage and, given that he also has S. Jackson, Mathews, Greene, and Sproles, if he has a WR or two step up (out of Moss, Avant, Ward, and L. Moore) and gets anything out of Winslow, he'll be really tough to beat.BTW, we created this rule (I helped the commish for the league), along with having contract lengths, in order to promote quick turnarounds so that we'd have no hopeless teams. So far it's doing okay, but there's still a good amount of similarity in the standings outside of that one team with Newton.

act as a sounding board for a buddy of mine with his dynasty team.

12 team ppr start 2RB/3WR/1TE and can flex any

he's in a rebuild with some good core players.

gave:

Sproles

got:

Tebow

other team is in a win now and has Rodgers and Cam

buddy is not the biggest Tebow fan, but realizes he is a better piece for a rebuild

Interesting PPR trade I just seen go down

Team A trades

Mendenhall

Redman

Team B trades

Fred Jackson

Gerhart

12 Team Graduated PPR Start 2/2/1 and can flex any.

Traded:

Little

2012 1st

for

Vick

2012 2nd

season to young to figure out where the picks will end up.

Needed a upgrade [re: another QB] to go with Roth.

Have 3 strong WRs so I thought I could trade Little. Still have 2 1sts in 2012.

12 team PPR

A gave: Bowe

B gave: V Brown/2012 1st, 2md, 3rd and 4th

A gave: Ben/Ravens

C gave: Cutler/Raiders/2012 2nd. 3rd

Team A traded

Crabtree ($2, 4 years left on contract)

Hester ($4, 2 years left on contract)

for

Team B

Manning. E ($75, 3 years left on contract)

I'm team A, picked up Crabtree at the end of the last veteran auction when everyone had missed/ignored him. Other owner looking to make a few other big trades and wanted to free up cap space to get some better young talent on the board. He actually came to me with this offer, because he was interested in Crabtree also.

I upgraded QB from Freeman to Manning.
