2011 offseason dynasty trades (3 Viewers)

16 team non-PPR:Team A gave:Frank GoresTeam B gave:Mike Wallace, WR PIT2012 1st
I really like the Wallace, 2012 1st side. Not sure if I'll be alone on that or not. Great move for the future.
Trades like this are what makes dynasty awesome. Usually when you see something like this, the Gore side is a RB away from win now and has WR depth. The Wallace/1st side is a rebuilding team. On paper, Wallace side probably is better value. But not if Gore is crucial in winning the next couple years for a team on the brink.

PPRBattle Plan gave up Green-Ellis, BenJarvus NEP RB; Year 2012 Round 3 Draft Pick from Battle Plan2 Minute Drillers gave up Cotchery, Jerricho NYJ WR; Year 2012 Round 2 Draft Pick from 2 Minute DrillersI got Cotchery and already have Wells, Greene, McCoy, Moreno, Hillis/Hardesty and Woodhead at RBMcCoy's week is same as Pats. Woodhead would be on the block too, but I'm from Nebraska. Been trying to shop RB's, but nobody would pay
Although COtchery is never going to be a stud, there's a good chance he's a starter for the Jets once again next season and after the NFL draft BJGE's stock is going to be way down.

Apparently it already is if this trade is any indication.

Is that all it takes to move into the top 3 this year?
i personally see a big Tier drop off after the 1.03 and it would take more than Ford to move down one spot before the actual draft happens.

Depending on how you view it, the big 3 has become the big 4 with LeShoure in there or it's dropped to the big 2 with just green and jones.

I see ingram as the clear top back, plus there are only a few teams that would have value this season for rookies
It's a possibility that things shake out like this:AJ Green - CinncinatiJulio Jones - Cleveland/Washington/St. LouisMark Ingrim - MiamiRyan Williams - New EnglandMikel LeShoure - Indianapolis/NOIf you beleive that Jacoby Ford can build on last year, uit wasn't that bad of a deal - maybe after the NFL draft the guy with the 1.4 doesn't want to trade Ford to move up when he sees 4-5 viable rookies.

I see 5 top rookies with Williams and leshoure in addition to Ingram at RB. I happen to think ford Could be special so it's worth it to me.

which of these don't you like?1 Indy (feature role could be open with Addai likely a free agent)2 Miami (role wide open with Brown & RW free agents)3 Cincy (role wide open with Benson free agent)4 seattle (not impressed with current stable)5 washington (not impressed with current stable)6 Giants (feature duties somewhat open, Bradshaw could be FA)7 Tampa (long term spot, high enough pick could compete for feature duties)8 Denver (role could be open for RBBC)9 Arizona (Wells value not high?, Hightower RFA?, spot somewhat up for grabs in short term, with long term upside) 10 New England (high enough pick could compete for gig)11 Det (Best has injury history, nobody behind him)12 STL (short term handcuff, long term upside)13 ATL (short term handcuff, long term upside)granted some of these guys are expected to return, but as of now they don't have contracts and I have heard on more than one occasion teams are going to assume those unsigned guys are gone when they are drafting. If they get a RB with good value in draft, could also lead them to not be as motivated to bring guys backkeep in mind we are discussing top picks. If Leshoure, Ingram, or Ryan W end up on these teams their value will be pretty decent IMO

Situation will certainly play a part in each players value, but talent trumps all. Im more concerned on where the players get picked than to which team they get picked by. Assuming Ingram goes in the top 15 picks, and Leshoure and/or Williams isnt picked until the end of round 2, i dont care what team they play for, Ingram is the easy pick. At this point i feel pretty strongly that Inrgram is the more talented player no matter whee they get picked, but Ingram getting picked high would eliminate any of the concerns i have with the knee. No matter what, i think there is going to be a top 3, then a dop, but situation will certainly dictate how big of a gap there will be. Ingram to the Giants(assuming Bradshaw stays) and Willimas to the Pats at the end of the first would make the gap between 3 and 4 pretty small. Ingram to the Dolphins at 15 and Williams and Leshoue going in the 2nd to Denver and Pittsburgh would make the gap huge.

Is it possible to extend guys after their contract runs out at a higher rate, or do you have to lose them? Is that #1 next year looking high, middle, or low? Are these teams competetive now or rebuilding?I'd lean towards team A without knowing the details.

Possible to extend guys, but only in the same way the NFL handles restricted free agents. Team A can tender an initial contract "offer," other clubs have the option to make a bid that exceeds that offer, and the Prior Club has the option to match. My guess is that he either would go for more than that price listed or just be dropped into the FA pool at age 33/34. Team A is sort of a mid-range team, mid-range #1 pick.

no, I got 2.04. was pretty surprised to see the offer, but honestly it's not that bad. Should be some decent lottery picks during a may draft. 2.04 is a risk as well. This draft is deep IMO, those picks could be valuable. hit on 2 of 3 v 1 chance...and you win. I just don't have roster spots
i think any rookie pick past the 2nd round in non IDP leagues have no value

Yea I don't agree with that guy either. In addition to the guys you listed, James Stars, Rob Gronkowski, and Emmanuel Sanders could all be found in a lot of 3rd rounds last year.

Wow, that's early. He went in the late 1st to mid 2nd in all my leagues last season, but all my drafts were in May as well.

I guess it's pretty fair depending on what happens. I'd still rather be the side with Andre/1.02, but all it takes is one team to put a high bid on him that you can't match, and he's gone in 2 years. I value the #2 pick more than the #8 and probable mid 1st next year.

Brandon Jackson

Troy Smith

Note: We do one round of our rookie/free agent per month, so 2.1 has a little more value then usual because there is a couple week window in between 1.10 and 2.1, so that gives time for owners to fall in love with a player and start making trade offers for 2.1. Still, I need a RB so I am happy to get to 1.2.

is this a IDP league?
no, I got 2.04. was pretty surprised to see the offer, but honestly it's not that bad.
I couldn't disagree more especially this year which seems to have a lot of depth at RB, QB, and some athletic freak types at TE

last year wasn't even considered a strong draft...plenty of value to be had there
Yea I don't agree with that guy either. In addition to the guys you listed, James Stars, Rob Gronkowski, and Emmanuel Sanders could all be found in a lot of 3rd rounds last year.
I got Mike Williams in round 3 last year.
Mike Williams went 5th overall in our rookie draft last year. I assume you drafted early.
Yep, May
If you were going to get him late, that was the time to do so. The latest I got him was 2.07 in a 12-teamer, by Aug I had to trade up to 1.06 in one league and grabbed him at 1.05 in another.

A few trades went down in one of my leagues today.16 team, IDP, non-PPR league. Start 1-2 RB's, 3-5 WR/TE's.It's also a salary league, so that can play a factor in these trades sometimes. I believe it was a big factor in the Peppers deal as his salary number was about 6% of the total cap. The rest I don't think salary was a significant factor.

I like B in a 16 team, start 1 RB league.

 Was this really necessary?

Anyway, I'd take that trade for Team B Team A any day.

I'd rather have Team A. Collie could be gone with another concussion and Royal isn't a difference maker. I'd rather have a 1st and a 2nd.
