2011 offseason dynasty trades (1 Viewer)

Just because he has other great players doesn't mean you undersell AP but maybe it turns out good for him. You never know and I guess I've seen worse.
I think you're overlooking the fact that in 12 team leagues where you want to trade a guy like AP that most teams have rosters completely incompatible with making such a deal. Sometimes you just gotta leap.

Team A gave up Bush, Michael OAK RB;McFadden, Darren OAK RB;Williams, Mike TBB WR; Year 2011 Draft Pick 1.09 (became Torrey Smith)

Team B gave up Hardesty, Montario CLE RB;Hillis, Peyton CLE RB;Crabtree, Michael SFO WR; Year 2011 Draft Pick 1.06 (became Daniel Thomas);Year 2011 Draft Pick 2.07 (hasn't been picked yet)

Interesting trade. Seems pretty even to me.

I don't see how that is remotely even. DMC/Bush >>> Cleveland guysTampa Mike > CrabtreeSmith = Thomas

14 team ppr

team A gave up

Mike Goodson

Steve Breaston

2.03

team B gave up

1.09

Troy Polamalu

I was holding Mike Goodson as a sleeper, but I think that Deangelo Williams is going to end up a restricted free agent and back in Carolina for 1 more year.

No, you don't.If no one is "compatible" enough to trade for AP, then don't trade him. Selling him cheap is a horrible "answer" to this "problem."

DMC/Bush >>> Cleveland guys
I agree with the overal analysis of who got the better deal, but that's purely hyperbole right there
No, it's not. That's in terms of value. DMC going in the first round of some start ups. Hillis not even sniffing his value right now. I wouldn't trade DMC alone for the other side, let alone add Mike and a pick.

Like I said, I agree with your overall opinion on the trade (it was terrible). I just don't think McFadden/Bush is so much more valuable than Hillis/Hardesty to warrant 3 ">" signs. Perhaps what you say about "start up" value is true though since I haven't followed that guess I was looking at it as actual fantasy value and not preceived trade value.

I know this messegeboard hates guys that don't share the rock like Benson, but here's a recent trade:

Team R gives Cedric Benson + 1.11 pick (became Demarco Murray)

Team B gives 1.05 (became Ryan Williams)

14 team league

Team A Trades: Steve Johnson

Team B Trades: 2012 1st round draft pick (team drafted 1.10 this year and will likely be around the top of the league again next year)

Johnsons Beach gave up Starks, James GBP RB

Puerto Rico gave up Year 2011 Draft Pick 5.03; Year 2014 Round 1 Draft Pick from Puerto Rico

I'm team A. Most people, prior to the draft, see a tier of 3 guys (Green, Jones, Ingram) and then a tier of two guys (LeShoure, Williams). In the last week I've decided there is a 3rd guy in that second group. And assuming he doesn't fall to Saturday, I was going to take him at 1.04. So now I may still get him at 1.06, or may get someone above him if another owner messes up. The guy I traded with also has the 1.05 and has great WRs but very average RBs. So I think he takes the two guys mentioned above at 1.04 and 1.05 and I still get the other guy. Plus I get the 1.08 although truthfully I have no idea who I'll take there. I also have the 13th, 17th and 23rd selections. So it should be an interesting draft.
Well thanks for the tease.....I need to know who the third guy in the second tier is????????
FYI - It was Cobb. I also had Little at the top of the next WR tier. Like I figured, the guy with 1.04 and 1.05 took RBs so I had my choice of WR3. Since Little was more hyped, I took him at 1.06 and then got Cobb at 1.08. Guy picking 1.07 told me he wanted Little at 1.07, so it worked as I hoped. Now I have to hope Little and Cobb were worth it, LOL.

Start QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, QB/RB/WR, RB/WR/TE

Very well played. I too like Cobb slightly more than Little, but would have done the same thing.

I've been offered the 1.03 pick (presumably Julio Jones) for Michael Crabtree in a 16 team PPR league. What do you guys think? Who has more fantasy potential in the next 3 to 5 years? (I have Crabtree for 3, and can sign Julio for 5).

No way.(Better off in the ACF, BTW.)

Non PPR:

12 Team:

Team A gives Frank Gore and Roddy White

Team B gives Lesean McCoy and Miles Austin

Interesting.I assume team A is in position to make a solid run at the title in 2011. Good short term deal, especially if Smith ends up leaving. Pretty much anywhere is going to be a better situation than Carolina.

Take that quick!!!!

0.5 ppr leagueTeam A receives; Colston/1.9 rookie pickTeam B receives: Steve Johnson/Mario Mannigham
I really beginning to like Manningham. A clear #1 in Nicks to take away the double and Smith with a pretty serious injury. Colston is solid, but a bit overrated every year. Like the deal for team B.
