These kinds of trades amaze me. I'm trying to trade up from 1.4 to 1.3 and I don't think I could do that with a 2.6.

In my league last year's worst team who has the 1 pick this year took this deal a week ago.Gave his 2012 1st (lock city top 4) His team is really badand got back the 1.12 and 2.06 this year :X

Wouldn't trade Vick for Bradford and Miller even if my only TE was Fendi Onobun.

I really like Miller and Graham, and have them ranked 5th and 6th behind Gates, Finley, Davis and Witten. I give a slight egde to Miller though.There is only two QB's i would trade Bradford for straight up, and thats Rivers and Rodgers. Vick might get more points in the 2011 season, but i will have a top 5 QB for the 10 years after that, i barely trust Vick in 2011, much less beyond that. Nothing wrong with disagreeing though.

Apparently your higher on Mario and much lower on Welker then I am.Welker posted 123 cactches and 1300+ yards in 13 games plus a series in 2009. That is 22 ppg in a ppr league #1 by far in 2009. He is now going to be fully healthy and will be back to over 100 catches this year.Manningham is inconsistent and may have to battle Smith and other up and coming NYG WR's next year plus his contract is up in 2011 I believe.My team gets worse for this year as well losing a starter.I think it is a good deal for me but nothing close to as bad as you guys seem to think.

Apparently your higher on Mario and much lower on Welker then I am.Welker posted 123 cactches and 1300+ yards in 13 games plus a series in 2009. That is 22 ppg in a ppr league #1 by far in 2009. I didnt know you were involved in this trade. Im not sure if you really believe what you are saying(otherwise why would you make the trade). You are arguing Welkers upside and Manninghams downside. Manningham is 5 years younger and finished with more fanatsy points last season. I am not even suggesting Manningham is more valuable than Welker(in PPR), but its close no matter how you look at it. Getting two firsts and a 2nd in addition to Manningham is WAY too much. Of course this is just my opinion and in now way should be confused for a fact.

I was reluctant to give up Bradford, but I'm very high on Jimmy Graham and its hard to pass on the #1 QB in points per game last year.Funny enough, both those trades were offered to me not the other way around. I was pretty surprised by the Vick offer, REALLY surprised by the 1.03 for 1.11 and 2.6. I couldn't accept that one fast enough

I like Bradford a lot, but I've got a team who can win now and more so then that I think Vick will most likely outscore Bradford for the next two years even with the McDaniels factor. I thought it was strange too. The guy hit me up for the 2.01 when I was on the clock and asked for the 2.01 and 2.08. I sensed the urgency and dropped him to my 3.04 and the deal was done. He chose Jon Baldwin with that 2.01 pick. I figured he must have a lot of QBs on his team but he actually only has Mark Sanchez on his team now. It's a head scratcher IMO but I'm not going to argue.

In my CFL league I have a guy who continually trades every player he gets when he feels he has peaked because he always wants top value but it also hurts him as well because he has not won a title since the year 2000 because he is always turning over his best players for picks/prospects.

I am the type thatruns a player into the ground and only bails on him to get what I can back right before he falls off the cliff. My goal is to always win a title this year so I find it very hard to trade away a starter if I am not getting a ton in return.

I fall somewhere between you two, and try to treat each situation seperately as opposed to having a set rule. I do try to avoid having guys on my team when their value hits the floor. Although seeing some of the trades you get in your league i guess you can afford to have guys on your team until they bottom out.

I'm usually a future guy, I value age a lot, but when I think Ive got a better than average chance to win it all I go for it even if that means taking a hit in a year or two. We play to win the game

I see alot of people who value picks prior to making them higher than they should in relation to the player they end up getting. On the other hand, I agree that once you make a decision to pick a player, it is harder for the owner making the pick to give up ownership of that player. For example, in one league I picked Kendricks in the 3rd round. I'm now being offered H. Miller and a 3rd round pick next year for Kendricks. While the numbers seem to add up to make the trade, I can't bring myself to do it because Kendricks is now "mine." It also helps Kendricks value to me that I've got Gates and I'm not going to compete this year, so Miller doesn't help me that much. Getting the certifiable #1 WR for a time share RB sounds like a winning proposition to me. Holmes will likely catch 80+/- passes for 900 yards or so and potentially double digit TD's depending on Sanchize's growth in the offense. Leshour will be splitting time with Best and has yet to prove he is an NFL player. I am NOT saying that Leshour can't be a productive back but we don't know that he will be. Yes Best had turf toe last year but so did McFadden two years ago and how did that turn out? Heck, a lot of people think Lewis has a shot to be a productive goal line/short yardage back too adding value to the trade.
