I don't know that there's much to say now that we haven't already stated, so please excuse me for pointing out the obvious
PlayerYTD PtsBye Drafted
Brees, Drew NOS QB 0 111.08
Dalton, Andy CIN QB ®
0 713.05
Palmer, Carson CIN QB - 724.08
This league had a ridiculous amount of QBs taken early. I reread Clayton's email to make sure it was TE 1.5 and I didn't miss something. I got beat waiting too long for Colt McCoy. I wanted McCoy just in case. Since I had Brees already, very few QBs available in round 11? 12? (forget when I was really wanting a backup, about then) are going to outscore him. The idea of drafting another position just seemed better over and over and over. If Brees has a poor week, this will bite me. I'm not too worried though. Last round, I googled Carson and there were some people writing "will he be traded" and ...idk it was last round.
Gerhart, Toby MIN RB 0 921.05
Greene, Shonn NYJ RB 0 86.08
Hardesty, Montario CLE RB 0 510.08
Johnson, Chris TEN RB 0 62.05
Lynch, Marshawn SEA RB 0 68.08
Murray, DeMarco DAL RB ®
0 517.05
Toby's obvious. I see the Ttians trying to get CJ established. They're failing but I love Bruce Matthews, Mike Munchak and their FB+ Ts too much to disregard anything they put their mind to. Hardesty was going in in the red zone last time I saw a Browns game. I sure wouldn't pull Hillis, but ..whatever. I felt like the Browns really wanted a two-headed monster and this was round 10. It was the sixth round, Shonn was there-ya know how 6th round RBs are. Not sure why Lynch was still there in round 8, but I was all over that. I missed Murray and looked for him several rounds earlier, but didn't find him. I felt fortunate to get him in round 17.
Colston, Marques NOS WR 0 115.05
Cruz, Victor NYG WR 0 79.05
Fitzgerald, Larry ARI WR 0 64.08
Massaquoi, Mohamed CLE WR 0 512.08
Ochocinco, Chad NEP WR 0 723.05
Williams, Damian TEN WR 0 611.05
Colston doesn't have a bye and seems like a nice 5th rounder in this league. Not sure what else to say about Fitz. I couldn't get a third top WR, that was the plan and I got beat by a run of em'. I planned to go Cruz then Branch but lost out on Branch. Mass, Cruz, Ocho getting comfy, and Damian are risk/reward WRs that I hope can work out in this best ball format. Cruz's best weeks can even cover Fitz's bad ones so let's see. Damian and Mass seem to get a pretty decent number of looks near the end zone, if not in it. I asked why a drafter took Little before Mass(round or two IIRC) and got some wise acre replies like because Little's an NFL WR and Mass isn't. Mass still seems like he's in his rookie year at times, at others he's pretty impressive. The rest(aside from Little) really bug me as I can't understand why the Browns even roster them. Maybe Mass looks better in comparison. Regardless, it was round 12 and I like him a bunch there.
Gates, Antonio SDC TE (Q)
0 67.05
Pettigrew, Brandon DET TE 0 93.05
I planned Pettigrew/Gates when the scoring was announced. I love Pettigrew moreso than many here. I think he's a top TE by year's end. He has weeks where he gets 7 or 8 catches (which seems on the high side for a TE) and I gave him a little better ranking when I was looking over this league. I don't have a clue when Gates will return. Carlton got me good in the draft. The article I read titled was something like "Gates antsy to return soon" and I posted a link to it. I hadn't read it fully but scanned it. There was some funny sentence in the article something like one could read tea leaves and have a better shot at guessing when Gates will return.
Gostkowski, Stephen NEP PK 0 718.08
Prater, Matt DEN PK 0 620.08
Succop, Ryan KCC PK 0 622.08
Tynes, Lawrence NYG PK 0 719.05
Bad week from a kicker or D is pretty annoying in this league. It irked me last year and I went with an extra D in round 1 this year. I didn't want Succop per se, but I felt better about drafting him than some scrub WR or RB.
