2012 In Season Dynasty Trade Thread (2 Viewers)

12 team 1/2/3/superflex - .5/1.0/1.5 PPR - both teams in building/rebuilding mode

Team A receives

2014 1st

2013 2nd (early)

Team B receives

A. Morris

J. Boykin

I've noticed you like Ingram. I tried to get him with a 2013 3rd, but the owner wants a 2nd, which I dont have after using it to acquire J.Stew. Out of interest, why do you see him as a buy?
I'd try pretty hard to get another 2nd rounder if I were you. I'm not sure what these owners are hoping to get with those picks, but give me those RBs every time (and I'm not even very high on either).

Team A:Trent Richardson and 2013 2nd roundTeam B:Chris Johnson and DeMarco Murray
So you hope that one of those guys is as good as TRich?Give me the 21 YO workhorse.
Not at all. You hope the combination is. I know many won't take the deal, and using startup value, they could be right. But workhorses are a premium, and you trade 1 for 2, potentially. If you are as sold on Murray as I am, solid deal. If you're not - and I wouldn't blame anyone - not so much.

Gave:David WilsonPierre ThomasGot:DeMarco MurrayMike ThomasThoughts? I think the other owner sold low on one of the few true workhorse backs in the league, who's only 24. It's all about touches. And Murray gets them, when healthy. The Cowboys will invest in the OL and his injuries, despite the "injury-prone" label, have all been random and incidental, not chronic.
Bump. Any thoughts on this one? I know some are very high on the future prospects of Wilson.Coop, I notice that you're very high on Murray.

Yeah. I like the Murray side, here. He does everything, and is a true foundation back worthy of building an offense around. Look at the touches for other backs while Murray was healthy: next to none. I simply love the combination of balance that Murray provides: he's a traditional 3-down-back, that can grind out yards, catch, protect, and, on top of that, he has homerun speed/ability. If this is PPR, it is closer, as Wilson does have Charles-Lite potential, but I don't think the Giants will have incentive to ever use him as a 3-down-back. They will - as I think they should - use other options to wear down a defense, and keep their homerun hitter hitting homeruns. I like both players, but would take Murray over Wilson.

Dynasty PPR:

Garcon

Law firm

for

Quick

Jacquizz Rodgers

Team getting Quick/Rodgers is 3-6 and likely out of the playoffs, tends to overvalue youth and is in constant rebuilding mode.

Even from a dynasty perspective I prefer Garcon and Law Firm. Quick is raw and may never get it. I don't think Rodgers is ever a full time RB.

I agree. Rebuilding owner should have kept Garcon and gotten more for BJGE.

Another Dynasty PPR trade:

Peyton Manning

for

Tom Brady

Team getting Manning is a hardcore Broncos fan. Think I'd prefer Brady, a bit younger and his neck is not effed up.

I'm not at al sure about this deal I've just done, but the board love of D. Thomas has got me carried away: Non PPR

Gave

Harvin

Randle

Got

D. Thomas

A.Boldin

I'd rather have Harvin in all formats, but can understand why someone might prefer otherwise. Overall, a balanced trade that comes down to personal preference.

12 Team ppr - QB, 2RB, 3WR, TE, Flex

Team F traded Vick, Michael QB PHI and Hilton, T.Y. WR IND

to Team N for Weeden, Brandon QB CLE and Wilson, David RB NYG

12 team ppr

Contender(highest scoring team) traded away: D. Richardson, S. Rice, 1st round pick

Rebuild traded away: Gore, Andre Johnson, S. Moss

For me, Randle makes that the better side since Boldin hasn't got much left, but it's close since I have Thomas ranked higher than Harvin.

I take the Harvin side all day. He has no quarterback and puts up these numbers, give him a halfway decent quarterback or if Ponder gets better and the sky is the limit.

14 teams

QB/2RB/2WR/TE/1WR-RB-TE/1WR-RB/DST (9 starters total) (No kickers YAY)

Team A Gives:

Maurice Jones-Drew

Rashad Jennings

Team B Gives:

Donald Brown

Mike Williams (TB)

2013 3rd round pick

Team A is probably a top 4 team, and definitely in the playoffs. So that pick is between 3.9 and 3.14.

why would team a do this

Not enough for Gore and Andre in my book. I'd want a late first and Richardson for Andre alone

Another trade, same league as above (14 teams - QB/2RB/2WR/TE/1WR-RB-TE/1WR-RB/DST (9 starters total)):

Team C gets

Matt Ryan QB ATL

Jermaine Gresham TE CIN

James Starks RB GB

2013 1st round pick

2013 5th round pick

Team D gets

Aaron Rodgers QB GB

Ladarius Green TE SD

Two trades in one league, and one in a second league,

QB/2RB/2WR/TE/K, RB/WR/TE flex, 2nd league has a defense. Both are ppr leagues.

I give: Philip Rivers, Sidney Rice

Team B gives: Eli Manning

Team B gives: Michael Turner, '13 3rd (early)

Team C gives: '13 1st (late)

-------

Team A gives: Alfred Morris, Dwayne Bowe, '13 1st and 2nd (late)

Team B gives: Trent Richardson, '13 3rd (early)

Just made this trade in one of my leagues. It's a 2QB league and I originally offered Ponder and Tate as a starting off point for Spiller. He came back with this offer...

Team A Gives -

Brady Quinn

Golden Tate

Devon Wylie

Chris Rainey

Team B Gets -

CJ Spiller

Round 2 Pick

Waiting for the angry messages from the league. What do you do in a case like this? I don't like to make a habit of questioning someone else's plan for their team...but I'm sure that others in the league won't be happy about it.

Looks like one of the worst trades I've seen in a while. Even if he thinks guys like Rainey and Tate are going to pan out, he should've asked for a lot more extras.

He is now claiming it was a joke offer...so I'll reverse it. Seems weird that his joke offer would have been so weighted in my favor. Haha.

Trade that's about to go down, just waiting on an answer to a quick counter idea. If the deal changes I'll update it, but it's looking like this will be it:

Give:

Jon Stewart

Mike Tolbert

Andre Roberts

Late 2012 2nd

Late 2012 2nd

Early 2012 3rd

Get:

DeMarco Murray

Felix Jones

Phillip Tanner

Early 2012 4th

Would love to hear some thoughts on this.

If you really believe in Murray then its ok, but if you believe in Murray not sure I would want to burn trade value or roster spots on Jones and Tanner

I've twice gotten trade offers that were so lopsided in my own favor that I countered back saying that I was prepared to offer more and adding an extra piece. Might not make the most sense for me, but it helps me sleep at night, and I like to think it makes future deal making easier when they know I'm not looking to rip them off.

Mostly just throw ins, our rosters are huge and he probably doesn't wanna be saddled with them. I have the roster space for now.

First deal:

Gave- Quizz and a late first round pick

Get- David Wilson (I also own Bradshaw)

2nd deal different team:

Gave- Stewart

Get- A. Johnson

I was already loaded at RB- Rice, AD,R. Bush, LeShore, Quizz and needed a starting WR as I only had Fitz, Smiff, Boldin and scraps

Here are a few that recently went down in some of my 12 team ppr leagues. Early, Mid and Late pick designations are based on current ranking, and likely close to to where they will end up (with mids having the possibility of going either way)

League #1

Team A got: Hardesty, 2nd (early)

Team B got: Dwyer, 2nd (late)

Team B got: Hillman, 1st (mid)

Team C got: Cobb

Team B above is #1 ranked and stacked

Other leagues

Team D got: Osweiller, 1st + 2nd (both mid-late)

Team E got: Freeman

Team F got: Mendenhalll 2nd (mid)

Team G got: Hillman

Team H got: Steven Jackson, Lloyd

Team I got: Sproles, Ivory

Team J got: 3rd (mid)

Team K got: Tebow

Team L got: Antonio, Pierre, Tennehill

Team M got: Spiller

You'll get backlash, but what can you do? Your initial offer was kind of a "lowball" off (but as you said it was a starting point - it's not really your fault that some one decided that getting three useless players (Rainey does ahve a little upside at least) was more beneficial to him than Christian Ponder - and to top it off he said "here take a second round pick as well". The guy basically paid you for the right to waste two roster spots. Not sure what the veto situation is in your league, but if you're really worried at least give him his second round pick back (not saying you HAVE to) and its still a GREAT deal for you.

I had already responded to you but this is serious BS - who sends a joke offer where he's getting screwed. If anything he should have asked for four studs for Spiller to make his point if he thinks you were lowballing him. I'd be inclined to say "#### you" and teach him a lesson - but in the long run its probably better to suck it up and move on, as you know you really didn't "earn" acquiring Spiller.

I'm not even in this league and I feel like kicking this guy in the nuts. :P
