I posted the trade initially even though I wasn't involved. I offered what I thought to be considerably more but in the end he did what he felt was best for his team and addressed his needs. He's an Ingram believer, so.....
Any chance you guys are good with posting that here? I think it'd be an interesting comparison. I have a suspicion on what it was being a member of the league and other recent trades, but curious to compare here.
Sure - there were a few configurations, but Gian essentially offered Vernon Davis, Welker, Knile Davis, Kyle Rudolph, and Meachum I think... that was the one I was considering (for Calvin and Nate Washington)Gian probably offered better value overall. But, it didn't address RB for me (this year). And we discussed this via IM - I'm generally not one to trade for value and flip (he is - he's really good at it, too). I trade more for my team. Probably not the best way to approach it, and I probbaly should work on that (after all, I typically never draft for need.) I mean, even though I didn't really "want" Welker, I could have traded him pretty easily (as Gian ended up doing).ETA - That's probably a good discussion to have - trade for "value" vs. trade for your team needs.
