2012 Offseason Dynasty Trades (2 Viewers)

Another huge Mathews trade in one of my dynasty leagues (I wasn't involved)Team A gave:MathewsTeam B gave:Ingram, Hunter, J. Rodgers, 1.5 rookie pick (used on RG3)
I kinda like Ingram to bounce back, but I'd still rather have Matthews than that package unless I was really hurting at QB and deep at RB.
I'm not an enormous Mathews believer (maybe a mid-sized believer), but that is rather poor value for him. Zero sure things, a couple of good prospects (Ingram and RGIII) and a couple of average prospects. Yea, it could work out, but that is assuming too much risk.

12 teams ppr. Needed WR help and pretty well set at RB.

I gave up:

Brown, Donald IND RB

Year 2012 Draft Pick 2.05

He gave up:

Year 2012 Draft Pick 2.02

Year 2012 Draft Pick 3.12

I made the jump to take Stephen Hill.

I would make that deal for Donald Brown as fast as I possibly could.

16 team 0.5 ppr

GIVE

Blount, LeGarrette TBB RB

Avery, Donnie IND WR

Year 2014 Round 3 Draft Pick (likely very late)

FOR

Lewis, Marcedes JAC TE

Year 2014 Round 2 Draft Pick (likely very early)

Made this trade today in a 12 team PPR dynasty

I gave: DeSean, DeAngelo, 2.7 rookie pick (which was used on Broyles)

I got: Spiller, 3.2 (a few picks away but I'll update the player at that time)

Just made a huge deal.

PPR start 1QB 1RB 3WR 1RB/WR 1 TE

Gave:

Stafford

Vernon Davis

For:

1.4

2013 1st

2014 1st

Nate Washington

Would love some thoughts. I have 1.5 already and am pretty confident the draft will go Rich, Martin, Blackmon.

QBs left are Schuab and Fitzpatrick

TEs left are Fred Davis, Jared Cook, and Chris Cooley

RBs: Mendy, DMC, M.Bush

So now I'm looking at taking Griffin and Wilson at 1.4 and 1.5

Ii would've thought you could have got got a lot more for Davis and Stafford than what you did.

Make that 3 trades in 1 day! Again, 12 team PPR dynasty

I gave: Boldin, 3.2 rookie pick

I got: Hillis (Have Charles in this league)

I agree. I likely wouldn't give up Stafford alone for all that. Obviously depends a lot on the future picks, but if those picks don't both end up top 2 then I think you got taken.

Yeah that was pretty bad.

I don't think it's as bad as you guys are making it out to be -- 1.04 will be RG3, Luck or Martin, all of whom are terrific prospects. Sure, Stafford has proved to be an elite stud, but he's also still an injury risk -- the gap between Stafford and Luck/RGIII could be very small next year, and while Davis is a great TE I don't think he'll be as dominant with all the new weapons San Fran brought in. I think he should have gotten a better player than Nate Washington back but as long as there is a decent TE to fill in for Davis it's not a bad deal IMO even if the 1sts are middle of the pack.

Post Blackmon DUI trade (I wasn't involved), 12 team ppr:Justin BlackmonforGreg Little, '13 2nd
Hmmm...seems an overreaction. Blackmon's value certainly has taken a hit with this but as a Greg Little owner, if this was deal offered to me, I would pull the trigger without much hesitation.

I have Fred Davis, Jared Cook, and Chris Cooley. Last year picking the wrong one of Fred and Vernon every week cost me a lot of games. My WRs are Fitz, Roddy, VJax, then literally nobody before grabbing Nate here. I do kind of wish I countered for a better WR from his roster, but Nate ain't bad. I have 1.4, 1.5, 2.2, 3.5 in the rookie/FA draft. Should come out of the first 3 picks with RG3/Luck, RB, WR. I'm having a little buyers remorse losing Stafford, but as soon as I ill the trigger on RG3 I will be pretty happy. Like I said, I was going to take RG3 either way. Now instead of going into the year with the same lineup but RG3 as a backup, I added some pieces. As for being able to get more for Stafford: Maybe in theory, but only two teams really need QB help in that league bad enough to put together this kind of deal together. Thanks again for the thoughts.

small trade, 12 team PPR dynasty

I gave: Ford

I got: Tannehill

Ford was my #8 or #9 WR and I only had Vick and Big Ben at QB. Wanted to groom a young QB for the future.

Just traded Michael Bush and McGahee for Antonio Gates and Tolbert today. I'll probably end up cutting Tolbert, Gates was the target.

Cruz and 1.05 for the 1.02 is robbery. Great trade.
For which side? Looks like a nice deal to me, perhaps weighted towards the guy selling 1.02.
The side getting Cruz and 1.05. Getting Cruz to move down 3 spots is incredible. 1.02 would usually be Doug Martin. At 1.05 he could take David Wilson. Cruz + Wilson for Martin is killer.
Or, the guy might be drafting Luck or RG3. Luck > Cruz & the 1.05 IMO. It's a good, fair trade.

In a 2 QB league I'd agree but he didn't say that.

10 team PPR 1QB, 3WR, 2RB, 1TE, K, DT. 25 man rosters.

Team A(me) gave Gates, Jennings

Team B gave Gronk, Maclin

My WRs are now Maclin, Roddy, Fitz, Colston, Britt, Ford, Malcom Floyd, Avery, Hines Ward

His WRs now DHB, Jennings, Nate Washington, Roberts, Best, Manningham, Young

I'm 2011 champ and perennial playoff contender. Trades very difficult to come by and I can't appear to "win" a trade, so I've always got to give a fair amount to get anything. Given success/draft position, I can only get younger by trading.

Can't appear to win a trade??? Really???U won this trade going away. Definitely didn't give a "fair" amount.

Ordinarily, no. I generally get the worst offers imaginable(I give Cam for Mendenhall, etc.) Should have noted that I feel good about this one. Thought this might have helped show where Maclin's perceived value has gone(down).

Maclin's value is not down, u just got him at a discount. U should feel ecstatic about this deal.
