Love the complaints, as if this is scientific.

I picked a mock and ran with it. If you guys can do better, go nuts.

I know I can't do any better, I'm just surprised as a fan of a team in the AFC west that you have the Cassell led Chiefs ahead of the Manning led Broncos, Rivers led Chargers, and the Palmer led Raiders. No biggie, just surprised.

"I" don't have anything. It's not my mock. First thing I wrote in the OP.

1. Tyler bray is going a lot higher than 17 when he comes out.

2. Landry jones in round two is a steal!

Apparently, "I" have pretty poor reading comprehension sometimes, ha ha. Sorry! :kicksrock:

So the Fantasy outlook says there should be at least 4 studs next year. Lattimer, Davis, Allen and Woods. Five if you count Barkley.

Top half of round 1 in 2013 should be solid

1. Tyler bray is going a lot higher than 17 when he comes out. 2. Landry jones in round two is a steal!
Bray will be a top 3 pick, good call.Jones may go in the 1st because QBs get so overvalued in the draft now but he's not a 1st round talent.

Keenan Allen is by far the best WR (not a corner) and Woods will not go 2. He's not even the best receiver on his team.

If whoever ends up with the first pick in 2013 I wouldn't be surprised if Harbaugh & the 49ers make a play to get Matt Barkley. I say SMITH'S time IS limited in S.F. and we've yet to see what 2011 2nd round pick Colin Kaepernick can do. There's also Harbaugh's former player Josh Johnson there as well. They compiled a number of picks in this draft through trades. I know they got a 3rd,5th & 6th at least. Yeah not high picks to work with but Baalke & the front office could possibly put together a deal with their 2013 1st, maybe 2nd, one of the 3rd's and whatever else it might take to entice the team at #1 to trade with them. Then they could take Barkley, keep Kaepernick & Johnson and maybe get some value for Smith & trade him.

It'll definitely be a harder situation for them to get a deal done for Barkley if they win the division and go deep in the playoffs but if they think Barkley is the franchise QB they want I could see them working hard on a deal to get it done. I'm sure a lot of you will say this doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of happening and I'm sure you could be right in your assumption but there's ALWAYS a chance a slim to none deal like this could get done. They'll have plenty of picks for 2013 they could use and even throw in some 2014 picks if it's necessary to get a deal done. No doubt Barkley should be the top QB prospect next year and I say it's very possible the 49ers could make an effort to get him. I would like to see what Kaepernick can do but with the Niners making it all the way to the NFC title game last year, only to lose by a few Kyle Williams miscues, Kaep may not even sniff the field this year if Alex Smith plays better with the new FA's(Manningham,Jacobs,Randy Moss) they acquired and if 1st rounder AJ Jenkins contributes.

Yeah, trading up to get Barkley at #1 may just be a pipe dream and many of you may agree with that. That's fine. Yet we all know stranger things have happened in the NFL so it's not out of the realm of possibility that the 49ers go after the #1 pick and take Matt Barkley.

Pipe dream

After looking at Draft Board Insider and WalterFootball current mocks, it easy to see that they suck as prognosticator. I'm starting to like the Vikings chances of finishing better than 2nd to last.

I think this isn't out of the realm of possibilities, I would only add that the 9ers better be prepared to pay a price similar to what the Redskins paid to get RG. What was it, 3 1st round picks?

Bummed there is no love for Landry Jones it seems. If anything Stills > Broyles as a WR1 for Landry this season.

A couple of thoughts.

Tyler Bray of Tenn is not even remotely close to being a first round pick. I have seen probably 10 of his games in the past 2 years and the kid is a long way off if ever.

David Amerson is a lock for top 10 and maybe top 5-7ish. The kid is the complete package.

It wouldnt surprise me if Mike Glennon of NCSU is in the talk of second tier of QB in the first round. I am thinking 15-32 range. The kid has all the intangibles but needs to tighten up on the interceptions.

Is Matt Barkley that good or does he just have superior talent surrounding him? Plus isnt he like 6ft1 or something?

Niether was Robert Griffin prior to last season. So much could change in a years time.

True but Bray isnt the athlete or the leader that RG3 is. Bray's accuracy and maturity are a long way off as it stands just to be a normal NFL qb let alone a first rounder.

So much for early mocks. The over/under should be close to 9 for players that will actually get drafted in the first round.

Yeah, that's terrible. I expected him to go 32-for-32 a year in advance.
The draft order is the terrible part. Three playoff teams in the first 5 picks.

We knew it wasn't scientific. He did it right after last year's draft. It was just a fun exercise.

If you want to do a 2014 mock right after this year's draft, feel free. If you do any better, I'll shower you with praise.

So if I understand correctly, you are making fun of his mock draft from a year ago because it doesn't look like current mock drafts. Why don't we save this for after the draft?
