2013 Off Season Dynasty Trade Thread (for completed trades) (2 Viewers)

Traded Jordy for 1.06, 2.02, and Kaepernick. Tough to get rid of jordy at his current value, but I took 4th due to poor QB play. Love Kaep's upside and he should only get better
You made out like a bandit
Not really.
Jordy is a good receiver but this is robbery.

Kaepernick for Jordy one for one is very close , you got 1.06 and 2.02 on top, you are laughing all the way to the bank.

Traded: Russell Wilson and 2.09

Got: Tannehill and Ryan Mathews
thoughts? 2 QB league
I'm a big fan of Tannehill's upside and I think Mathews is undervalued. That being said, I still would prefer Wilson in a 1QB league, more so in a 2QB league.

I understand splitting a better player into two players to fix a need somewhere else, as long as it doesn't create a need in the process. Unless he happened to have three QBs on Wilson's level, he just created bigger need to fulfill another one.

I would take the Wilson side here. He's easily the best player in the trade. I can see why you did it since you had 3 good QBs and wanted a RB3. And I'm buying the Tannehill hype and am not as down on Mathews as most. Tannehill has a lot of promise where Wilson has proved he can be dominant. And Mathews is about 1 more injury from being out of a job.

I would be reluctant to trade Wilson, especially in a 2 QB league. He looks like he's going to be a top QB for several years.

You got a couple decent guys back, but I could see both of them flopping whereas I think Wilson is a pretty safe bet to be an anchor that you can build around.

I could see Kaepernick and the 2.02 for Nelson but giving up the 1.06 also is way too much.

League settings here are important. I'm in this league and it's 1-4 RB/WR/TE so not that many starters, which benefits people trading quantity for quality. I like the Spiller side but I consider them about equal.

In a league where you start, say, 2/3/1/2 RB/WR/TE/FLEX (these do exist!) then I would rather have the Murray side, because the quantity of top 50 players usually determines the winner of the league.

Even so, Spiller owner won huge here.

RB is certainly de-valued in a 1 RB league but I never thought he was going get to Spiller for two injury prone guys (Murray and Garcon) and a couple of 2nds.

I like the Trent side. I think he's pretty clearly > Wilson at the moment.

Between Hopkins, Wright, and the 1st, you'll be lucky if one of them turns out as good as Cruz.

PPR

Traded CJ Spiller

for

Lamar Miller and Gio Bernard

Saw Gian's trade above which gave me this idea.

This was my thought process as well, which is why I made this trade.

Does the fact that the team getting Richardson is not going to be a contender thsi season change your opinion?

Not really. Getting a top 5 RB and a top 10 WR is a pretty good step in the right direction no matter where your team is in the standings.

I gave up:

Ray Rice, Mike Wallace, 2014 1st (likely very late)

I received:

Trent Richardson, Marques Colston, Desmond Bryant (pointless add-on).

I just think that Richardson is = to Rice this year, but has an additional 4 years of career left. This was before the news came out that he was going to miss some time this offseason. I am an immediate contender (won last year, runner up 2 years prior), so I actually see Colston as an upgrade over Wallace in the short-term.

Would have to think about this deal a lot longer if I was not in a position to contend immediately, but Richardson is pretty close to my #1 overall dynasty player, and the workload that Pierce received at the end of last year made me hesitant to rely on Rice for much longer. But if Richardson isn't as good as expected by most, then I will have lost this deal by a LOT.
