Anyone been to a concert at Wrigley? Some GBs and I will be heading there for AC/DC (and hopefully Foofighters). I imagine the stage is in CF. How is the sound? Places to avoid sitting?
Saw Springsteen there a few years back. It rained like crazy and they still brought it. I thought it sounded great, but it's really up to the sounds system and additional gear the band has for the venue. I imagine AC/DC will bring something heavy duty, so I wouldn't worry about sound. I'm just worried about scoring my own tickets on Monday!

Just added two DMB shows to the mix this summer - Des Moines and St. Paul.

I see Trombone Shorty is coming to town - recommend?

Shorty is always a two thumbs up from me - great rockin time with a few awesome horn blasts to melt your face. His band is a top notch outfit as well- so improved from 6 years ago.

Cool thanks. It sounds like everyone going with us wants to be in GA on the field so I guess location won't matter. Gllll getting tickets.

Catching the dmb show in kc in july at cricket wireless amphitheater on the way to Colorado. Anyone seen a show there before? Assume it will be hotter then heck.

Just grabbed two tickets for Sturgill Simpson at the Rialto in Tucson. Word is out he may be moving to bigger venues soon. Pretty stoked to see him here.

I've got a pretty busy lineup of shows over the next week and a half:

Last night: Dirty Heads @ Aggie Theater in Ft. Collins (I managed to get "on the list" so I got in free)

Tonight: Dirty Heads @ Boulder Theater in Boulder

Friday: Matisyahu @ Vail Village

Saturday: CeeLo Green @ Vail Village

Next Thursday: Hannibal Buress @ Boulder Theater in Boulder

Next Friday-Sunday: Winter Wonder Grass bluegrass festival @ Avon (Infamous Stringdusters, Sam Bush Band, Leftover Salmon, Elephant Revival, Trout Steak Revival, etc.)
I saw Matisyahu recently. Great show, have fun and dig the vibes

Neutral Milk Hotel - sometime in April

Bonnaroo - June
Have you see this Tasker? The guys who run "Boots and Hearts" (country festival) are teaming with the group that puts on Bonaroo to put together a 3 day festival north of Toronto.http://indie88.com/meet-shannon-mcnevan-the-guy-bringing-bonnaroo-to-ontario/

I went to grade school with Shannon who is interviewed there.
I actually had heard about it like a week or two ago. Waiting to see what gets announced....haven't been able to find many details yet. It'd certainly be a much easier drive from Buffalo....
Early lineup promising. Run the Jewels, Kendrick Lamar, Alt-J, Modest Mouse, St. Vincent, Girl Talk, Gaslight Anthem, Alvvays, future islands, Cold War kids, ####ed up, Passion Pit, Rural Alberta Advantage, Sloan among others.
What's the date on this? I have a few buddies who can't swing Bonnaroo, might be able to get them to this.

Shorty is a pretty good show. I wouldn't go all crazy $$$ for tickets if the show was sold-out, but if the price was in your wheelhouse, it will be a fun time (especially if it is a small venue).

Curious to see what you thought about CeeLo. Saw him open last summer for Lionel and he was awful. I'm not even sure I'd take in a free show if there were other options.

This is a great show. Do not miss it. I saw him in Salt Lake a couple months ago in a 300 person venue and he overwhelmed it. He's the real deal and will definitlely be moving on to bigger venues soon.

Excellent, The Rialto is a small venue in downtown Tucson.

I ended up heading back to Denver on Saturday night because the snow wasn't very good in the mountains, so I missed the free CeeLo show at Vail. I'm glad to hear that I likely didn't miss much. I figured that CeeLo's set in Vail would be way more pop-driven than what I would have liked to see from him (i.e., old school Goodie Mob and Outkast tracks).

Alt-J announced yesterday that they will be headlining at Red Rocks this summer (July 27, 2015) with TV on the Radio. I'll definitely be getting tickets for that when they go on sale this Friday.

My sister just gave me two free tickets to see Garth Brooks on Friday night. Like a few of his songs but have really never been to a Country-Western concert before so we will see. Hopefully there will not be a bunch of drunk yahoos there.

Seeing July Talk in Detroit at the Magic Stick. Any Detroiters seen a show there?

I am pretty stoked to catch this band!

Saw them a few months ago with Rural Alberta Advantage. Was one of my favorite shows of 2014 for sure. Very friendly folks and they put on a great set with tons of energy.

Saw July Talk last night in Detroit. What a show. They bring it, the female singer Leah is sexy as hell, and they are very cool people. Had a beer with them after the show, and got them to sign the setlist from the stage for me.

Very down to earth and appreciative of their fans.

Highly recommended!

I really liked their album/EP from 2013... definite riot grrrl, le tigre thing. sounded like they'd be a lot of fun live. also sounds like maybe we're due for a new release?

eta: no. completely wrong- I was thinking of the Julie Ruin. I'll have to check July Talk out.

I saw them about a year and a half ago (opening for Billy Talent). I like their song, the way their voices play off each other. Going in, I only knew Guns & Ammunition, but they definitely won me over, will likely check them out again at Wayhome.

They played a new song last night and said they are hoping for a release this year.

I somehow missed that Spoon announced 2 Toronto shows last week. Bought tickets tonight.

So now upcoming for Spring/Summer, I have:

Arkells

The Tragically Hip

Interpol

Spoon

Wayhome Festival

I may see Elliott BROOD this weekend, here in town.

Wasnt in New Orleans for Mardi Gras but saw Dirty Dozen Brass Band on Fat Tuesday here in DC. The Hamilton's booking company is out of NO/Austin and bringing some great music up to DC. Dr. John has been at The Hamilton 2-3 times this past year.

No, this tour is Fully Completely front to back, it's my favourite album of theirs, so it's perfect for me.

Arkells played a small club here in London tonight, but I had to work. July Talk is playing a place called the" Hoxton" in T.O on St. Paddys. Sold out in minutes, and tix are going for 80-100.00 online. It will be an unreal show. I wish!
