So much for any chance of a Pete Rose reconciliation:

BREAKING: @OTLonESPN obtains previously undisclosed evidence that Pete Rose bet on Reds games he played in during 1986 season.
I dont see the big deal. This isnt really new news. Its just more of the old news we already knew. Until someone tells me Rose was betting against the Reds and intentionally throwing games, Im in favor of him being back in baseball.
Oof
Seems Im not the only one that feels this way.

If I am visiting the baseball hall of fame and only have a couple hours, is it worth it? Or am I treading into shady territory with that short of a visit?

What is the downside of going, even if you can't see it all?
Just don't want to be disappointed too much that I only get to see a portion if it. I'm 99% going, just checking in.

We are going on a 2.5 week road trip, and are staying at a campground one night that is just a few miles away from the HOF. Will eb nice escape from kids and grime and camping. Although, I probably will take my 4 year old with me.

I think that if you have at least 2 hours, it would probably be worth it.

You can see the floor plan here and maybe set up an efficient, prioritized route (that I'm sure the 4-year old will totally adhere to).

###### mother####ing Carlos Martinez. we have a serious abusive spouse relationship. Every time I think he's changed and then I let him back in and then- BAM!

Miguel Cabrera was taking some abuse from an Indians fan and giving it right back in the 5th inning. So after the 5th Miggy took the batting glove he was wearing and the bat he had just used to the heckler who was a 8-10 year-old boy. What a great fella.

Ommegang is in Cooperstown . Maybe the little nipper would enjoy that as well

Bottles of Scotch consumed in a week by Miggy>number of homers hit in a year by Melky

First trip through the order was rough. Was great after that. Only one runner got past first, Martinez was able to get two outs and intentionally walk Stanton to get out of the inning.Scary moment in the 8th when a high two-seamer from Seigrist got past Molina and drilled the plate ump in the chest/neck area.

yea, so awesome. love miggy
I can't figure out why he hasn't become a media/advertising darling. I guess because he's just a good dude who doesn't come off well in a commercial sense. I would think you could make some funny Geico commercials with him driving with some booze or something, he's a real peach I say!

does he have a thick accent? None of the Latino players become big time celebrities probably for that reason.

Yeah I turned it on in the 3rd when I realized that it was the free game of the day and saw him K Stanton. He got pretty pumped up in the 5th or 6th and seemed like he was doing a much better job of putting guys away when he got ahead in the count. When I watched his starts about 6 weeks ago, it seemed like he would let a lot guys get away.

What's that old guy in the hat so grumpy about?
How many here would take your newborn to a game, let alone sitting in the front row in dangerous foul ball territory??
I take my daughter pretty often. She's 2 now, but she's been going since she was a newborn. People are psychos for foul balls and home runs and it annoys me with her. I probably wouldn't do front row with a newborn, but I'm not the right person to be judging others since I'm dragging a toddler to the stadium all the time lol

Took my very young kids to a AA game once. Foul ball just missed them while I was off getting a beer. Ill never hear the end of that one.

I've done it a bunch too, and my seats are in prime foul ball territory. Front row is a little different because there's nobody in front of you to get between you and a line drive, but otherwise I don't really see the problem. It's a baseball game, not a hunting trip. I go to 20-30 games a year and almost always sit in those foul ball friendly seats and I've never seen a fan who was paying attention get hit with a line drive anywhere, let alone square on the chest where a baby would presumably be. Come to think I've never seen a fan harmed by a foul ball period, even before accounting for all the simple preventative measures you can take with a kid like paying attention, staying seated and covering up if one heads your way, etc.

My 3-year-old took a bat to the face. The bat popped up and went 5 rows behind us. I got up and chased that bat down. Then I came back to make sure she was ok. We got to keep a similar bat. from a real major-league player! There are only like tens of thousands of those used each year.

Kind of like the Jose Fernandez 5-hour energy commercial.

This is why they invented ESPN Deportes.
