Last week, struggling relievers Jason Grilli and Ernesto Frieri were traded for each other in hopes a new setting would revitalize their careers. On Saturday, former Pirate Jason Grilli made the trek from Pittsburgh to Kansas City to meet the Angels, while former Angel Frieri departed KC for his new digs in Pittsburgh.
The two had never met before, so what better place for that first encounter than the men's restroom at O'Hare Airport?
Both trips called for a layover in Chicago, so when Frieri stopped to freshen up in one of O'Hare's 100-plus bathrooms, he saw an eerily familiar sight.
"I'm waiting for my next flight, so I just went to a bathroom to wash my face," Frieri told MLB.com. "First thing, I look at this guy washing his hands next to me, and I thought, 'I think I know this guy.'
"I looked again, and he's looking at me and goes, 'Really? Well, I guess this is when we get to meet each other.' "
The two exchanged pleasantries and wished each other well with their new team.

As a Phillies fan, I will always thank the Rays for starting Sonnanstine instead of David Price in the 2008 World Series. That's actually pretty interesting. Sadly, I can't even say the blame goes to the fact that this "local" newspaper probably was edited/produced in a copy desk center in an industrial park 1,000 miles away ... along with 100 other papers that belong to the same chain. Because, presumably, they still should be speaking English wherever that is.shuke said:![]()

I didn't see anything wrong with that called third strike.Holy ####, Torii Hunter just went berserk after getting called out on strikes, Took off his batting gloves and shin guard and threw them on the field, then pulled off his jersey and threw that out o the field.
It's really amazing that the CBS MLB scoreboard still completely sucks balls on an ipad.1% of CBS fantasy baseball
She did it twice even. BadassIs there a thread on the high school catcher that gave the forearm shiver in a playoff game yet? Because it's blowing up the internet down here.

That was so audacious that I don't think they even knew what to do.That's the kind of chick that would stick her finger in your ### in the thralls of passion.
That's the difference between boys and girls, I guess. If it didn't happen after the first one, there assuredly would have been an all-out brawl after the second one.I caught in high school, and couldn't imagine what would of happened if I tried doing this kind of thing.
Now I had no problem playing hard if there was a play at the plate, but this kind of play is uncalled for
She has an ### whipping coming. If I'm the other team I let all of my pitchers get tossed throwing at her.
