**2015 MLB Season Thread: This is how the chapter ends (3 Viewers)

Not sure if this was posted last year, but tonight was the first time I had heard it. This only happens in baseball. :lmao:

Last week, struggling relievers Jason Grilli and Ernesto Frieri were traded for each other in hopes a new setting would revitalize their careers. On Saturday, former Pirate Jason Grilli made the trek from Pittsburgh to Kansas City to meet the Angels, while former Angel Frieri departed KC for his new digs in Pittsburgh.

The two had never met before, so what better place for that first encounter than the men's restroom at O'Hare Airport?

Both trips called for a layover in Chicago, so when Frieri stopped to freshen up in one of O'Hare's 100-plus bathrooms, he saw an eerily familiar sight.

"I'm waiting for my next flight, so I just went to a bathroom to wash my face," Frieri told MLB.com. "First thing, I look at this guy washing his hands next to me, and I thought, 'I think I know this guy.'

"I looked again, and he's looking at me and goes, 'Really? Well, I guess this is when we get to meet each other.' "

The two exchanged pleasantries and wished each other well with their new team.

Sadly, I can't even say the blame goes to the fact that this "local" newspaper probably was edited/produced in a copy desk center in an industrial park 1,000 miles away ... along with 100 other papers that belong to the same chain. Because, presumably, they still should be speaking English wherever that is.
That newspaper is edited by Charles Shackleford.

Cozart hurt bad?
Rotoworld...

Zack Cozart - SS - Reds

Reds manager Bryan Price said after Wednesday's game that he expects Zack Cozart (knee) to need a trip to the disabled list.

It was pretty obvious if you saw Cozart being carried off the field after suffering a right knee injury. The shortstop underwent an MRI, but results aren't available yet. Eugenio Suarez could be an option to come up to take his spot on the roster.

Holy ####, Torii Hunter just went berserk after getting called out on strikes, Took off his batting gloves and shin guard and threw them on the field, then pulled off his jersey and threw that out o the field.

Is there a thread on the high school catcher that gave the forearm shiver in a playoff game yet? Because it's blowing up the internet down here.

I caught in high school, and couldn't imagine what would of happened if I tried doing this kind of thing.

Now I had no problem playing hard if there was a play at the plate, but this kind of play is uncalled for

First one looks almost unintentional at first look.. But when you see the second one, you know that she was trying to do it both times.

That's the difference between boys and girls, I guess. If it didn't happen after the first one, there assuredly would have been an all-out brawl after the second one.
