2015 NBA Thread: I felt a great disturbance in the trolls, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. (3 Viewers)

If someone wants to read overused schtick, hot takes, rehash top 10 lists, and analyze the game like cavemen, this is the definitely the thread for them.

Was hoping the Sixers would trade Okafor for the Celt's #3 pick, but was/am hoping they take Buddy Hield.
Sixers need everything and have to put shooters around Simmons. Hield would be a solid pick. Not to mention the FA market is lacking at the 2 beyond Beal (who I think is restricted and carries his injury concerns)  is very meh.

Personally I wouldn't pass on Dunn if I were any of those teams in the 3-6 range. I think he's the clear #3 player in the draft with superstar upside. I think you either make the room for him ......or deal the pick for assets. I don't see him going past #3 personally (whomever ends with the pick). He'll be my bet for ROY if he makes it to the opener injury free.

Don't know you at all, but judging by your S.F. avatar, it's highly unlikely that you're going to read any basketball articles right now that you'll be happy with.  Going 73-9 in the season then 15-9 in the post season is embarrassing. And even a Warriors fan has to admit that Steph didn't look like he's anywhere close to being in the same tier as Lebron. It was a very humbling couple of weeks. Even a caveman can see that.

This seems a little harsh.  Although admittedly, we don't all have your keen mind for analyzing the game:

I don't know about this.  I still think people are underestimating how good/difficult of a matchup the Thunder were for the Warriors.  That size and rebounding advantage made everything so difficult for them.  If the Thunder would have had 1-2 (even 1) better role player who could score open 3s better than Roberson with a similar style of defense, I think the Thunder advance instead.  If they keep Adams, Ibaka, KD, Westbrook and sign a couple of solid role players, it will be a battle again.

The Spurs are always scary in the postseason, but I think Father Time is catching up to them.

Nobody in the East right now is even worth talking about.

Great the NBA draft, the only time as a Nugget fan I can even feel hope for this team. And then watch it fizzle as they draft some 19 year old from Turkey who won't play a minute for us.

I loved the Denver sports guys this morning talking scenarios where Durant would sign with Denver. Yeah he is just dying to come to a 30 win team

So you're leaving?  Thanks for all your great analysis before the series until GS was up 3-1.  I know it's hard to post and think rationally when you have those rose colored glasses on, you said so yourself about me and others, so you probably made a solid choice later in the series.

Before you do leave, how do you feel about Draymond Green today?  Remember when I was dreaming before the series about Andy nutkicking him in Game 7 and you had a little fun with that?  I guess in the end we didn't need Andy, just needed Dray to be Dray.

Our Nuggies look like they are going to get a nice player at 7. A month ago it was a 6 player draft according to a lot of what I was reading, and now a lot of people are very high on Brown and Chriss. The Nuggets will have the opportunity to draft Bender (who was something of a consensus number 3 pick until the last month), Dunn, Murray, Brown, Hield or Chriss. With from what I've been reading, Bender and one of the guards will likely be available. For the Nuggets, I would rank them 1. Bender 2. Murray 3. Dunn 4. Hield (Brown and Chriss would be 5/6). I really think Bender could be a steal and a really nice fit next to the other foreign bigs we have.

I'm not mad all.  Unlike 99% of the people in here, I like to understand what teams are trying to do to maximize their chance to win. I don't care to read about people slurping up James because he was smart enough to sit on Green's head in game 4.  I would say the exact same things about the Warriors and this series if they were any other team in the league.

James was not only the best player on the court, he was also mentally tougher than Dremond Green. Just all around domination.

You mean like not trying to win game 3 of a 7 game series?  That kind of win maximization?  Please stay!

Have you checked lately to see if Nate Silver is hiring?

Yeah but nobody in San Diego can complain bc you live in paradise.

People in Minnesota and Buffalo have little else to look forward to besides our sports teams.
No point in even waking up most days really

A lot of intelligent people out there that follow the NBA would also agree.
You don't get lucky four times. That little-baby excuse might work for a single game. Your team got smoked in three straight games with the title on the line. Cleveland had Lebron and you had nobody even on the same planet. The second best player was Irvin.

Well, GS got lucky ~4 times in last year's playoffs...

I'm certainly not an intelligent person, but I do follow the NBA.  And I agree that the Cavs got lucky, and that can certainly happen over the course of a seven game series.  I don't think luck is enough to lift a team that's "not even worth discussing" over the best team in the league, though.

They got lucky in the sense that they didn't get hurt like last year and Golden State did.  They were as lucky as Golden State was last year.

Dude makes a one handed catch into a layup and looks at his bionic hand running back down the floor. How many time are you going to watch him hit a 3 and strut his "confidence"? Curry would be on his ### all game if I had a say in anything. Come in the lane, your getting decked. Cleanly, but your getting hammered. This doesn't start when you're down 30. It starts at the tip.
Maybe not an intelligent enough post for some (wasn't then and won't be now), but most level headed people would get the point.  The Cavs did.

League MVP was 1 for 6 in the fourth quarter of game seven. That is the very definition of choke.
No class to congratulate James either, scampering back to the locker room. They sure did seem pretty tough up 3-1 then acted like 3 year olds when they choked.

Wait so you are comparing the goofy Australian Center that's been a bust to Love and Irving? Sounds like a wash.

I really like Valentine for the Bucks but I'm nervous about his degenerative knee issue or whatever it is.  Similar to Danny Granger someone said?
sonsa#####es i had forgotten about this

that's what happens when the clock ticks closer to 40.  check his birth certificate, imo.

:lmao:

He was actually surprisingly close to Love in value.

But I'm more referring to Steph's knee/ankle (he wasn't right during the Finals) and Iguadola's back.
