***2015 NHL Reg Season*** Gostibehere best prospect ever (2 Viewers)

Oh, look, the Caps won.
About as dominant a road win as this 30-7-3 team has posted this season. A little surprised at how physical they were. Pretty cheap hit by Mojo though
I thought they played one of their best road games all season as well.Isles are a fast team and the Caps did a great job of slowing them down and pinning them deep while also keeping most of the shots to the outside.

Orlov was really solid in his puck moving and positional play and Schmidt chipped in with a goal off a great play by Backstrom forcing the turnover.

Key point in the game for me was the PP that was killed by some great goaltending from Holtby and then right after it expired they cashed it in to make it 3-1.

Doing all of this without 2 of their top 4 D men is nothing to sneeze at but with Holtby playing the way he is he is pretty much erasing most if not all of the mistakes being made in front of him.

Train keeps on rolling

Lombardi on the LeCavalier trade with Hextall:

Hex and I have been at this for two or three weeks, and he knows all my tactics, so it's like negotiating with myself. It's like looking at myself in the mirror. It's why he beat me up.

Hey, Ruds -- it's Martin St. Louis Night at The Gut tonight.

St. Louis returns to The Gut not just as the three-time All-American and UVM’s career scoring leader but as the Catamounts’ honored guest. He will be lauded as UVM’s greatest player and a potential National Hockey League Hall-of-Famer.

As UVM coach Kevin Sneddon said, honoring St. Louis with the Big Green on hand is appropriate. During St. Louis’ Vermont days, along with long-time linemate Eric Perrin and goalie Tim Thomas, the Catamounts competed in ECAC and the rivalry with travel partner Dartmouth was fierce. UVM went 5-3-2 vs. the Ivy school in those seasons.

“It’s great that it falls on this game, this night for Marty,” Sneddon said. “He played in the league and was a part of that rivalry.

“I spoke to Coach Gaudet. His team is going to be out there. They have the choice certainly to stay in the locker room and prepare for the game and (Bob) was like, absolutely not, we want to honor Marty and pay respect to your program,” Sneddon said this week.

“That speaks volumes that as intense a rivalry as that is, there’s a lot of respect between the two programs.”

Washington made the biggest capital gain possible on Wednesday, acquiring perennial NHL scoring champion Jaromir Jagr from the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The trade sends Jagr and Frantisek Kucera to the Capitals for a package of top-flight prospects -- Kris Beech, Ross Lupaschuk, Michal Sivek and future considerations.

I was just coming here to ask when Rud was flying from LV to Burlington for the ceremony.

LOL Girardi is such garbage. Just handed Ovie career goal 498. So hoping he gets 500 tomorrow- going to be a sick DC sports day already with Caps and Redskins both at home, plus my family's going to the game

sweet play by Alzner laying out to block a shot

:wall:

From what would have been a really nice win to a horrible loss for the Rangers.

It never fails that a team has a great scoring chance and the other team takes it down the ice and scores. MF!

I just heard some things from a guy in the know. Obviously the trade stuff is semi rumor material but I'll share anyway

The Blues offered the Rangers Shatenkirk and Statsny (pre injury) for Brassard and Girardi.

Someone on the Rangers staff has been asked to take a look at Drouins skating tapes in a seriousness effort for them to make an offer

The Rangers have kind of given up on Krieder. They say his attitude is piss poor and he half asses it at skating sessions.

They will not give up JT Miller. They think he is going to be a top 6 guy

Staal has to go to mandatory extra ice time sessions

They desperately want to get rid of Yandle. But you didnt need me to tell you that. Its going to be great seeing Duke be a nice scoring forward. They got owned in that deal.

Girardi has sucked when everyone but Torts has coached him. He is making McD look bad as a result.

Damien Cox and Eliot Friedman just said Yandle will be gone by the deadline. They also talked about Shattenkirk and Drouin.

Red Wings scored a goal in the first period that was disallowed because they didn't have video evidence. But the overhead angle showed the puck went just below the crossbar and then ripped through the mesh and out the back. Ducks cheating again, as they always do.
