You early, but I want him and doubt he'd last much longer
non competitiveReally happy with my team so far. Only thing I would change is taking Schwarber in the 3rd. I didn't realize catchers would fall so far since Posey went so early.

this is something an escaped mental patient would put together. The Slut Muppet
C - TBD
1B - Miguel Cabrera: Just the best player in baseball the last 10 years, that's all.
2B - DJ LeMahieu: Best French player since Moses Alou.
SS - Ian Desmond: 20/20 player puts his defensive woes behind him to patrol LF in hitter friendly Arlington.
3B - Matt Carpenter: Best Carpenter since Jesus.
CI - TBD, but it'll be great.
MI - TBD, though Carpenter can player there after I land a late round steal at 3B.
OF - Andrew McCutcheon: This is where the wheat separates from the chaff, boys.
OF - Yoenis Cespedes: Move to a hitter's paradise worked wonders for the Cuban wunderkind.
OF - Lorenzo Cain: All he does is lead his team to World Series championships.
OF - Kole Calhoun: 25 HR and 100 RBI behind Figgins, Trout and Pujols.
OF - TBD, but it could be Cosjobs and I'm still winning.
UTIL - TBD
UTIL - TBD
SP - Chris Archer: Best young pitcher in the game of baseball
SP - Carlso Martinez: His changeup comes in at 94 MPH and it's unhittable.
SP - Marcus Stroman: In his off-season, he attends college at Duke and studies how to get guys out.
SP - Drew Smyly: Seriously, this K/9 stud is my 4th arm?
RP - Brad Ziegler: Submariner just baffles big league hitters every summer.
RP - JJ Hoover: Trade of Aroldis opened the door for this big time closer.

14.9 - Daniel Murphy, American Hero
Going along swimmingly.Murphy is hitting just .174/.208/.261 through 23 at-bats to begin spring training.
It's not exactly an auspicious debut for Murphy in a Nationals' uniform.

I love that you made this pick right after your commentary.
I couldn't let Darvish slip any further. I'll take 20 starts of 11 K/9 filth at the end of the 14th round. Sounds like his throwing program is going well so far.God dammit
If it makes you feel any better, Yu wasn't getting past my turn.God dammit
It doesn't. I should've taken him over my last pick.If it makes you feel any better, Yu wasn't getting past my turn.
That's who I was going to take if Capella had taken Darvish instead of a career fringe starter/middle reliever who might be in the mix for closer-by-committee saves for a couple months.14.12 Wil Myers of

I have him in my home league and hope your optimism bears fruit. I think that k rate is a long shot this year though.I couldn't let Darvish slip any further. I'll take 20 starts of 11 K/9 filth at the end of the 14th round. Sounds like his throwing program is going well so far.
don't worry, plenty of half season pitchers coming off reconstructive surgery left.It doesn't. I should've taken him over my last pick.
Thinking about a few other guys coming off that their first season back makes me feel better. 11k/9 is a pipe dream.don't worry, plenty of half season pitchers coming off reconstructive surgery left.
Eh, pitchers who undergo Tommy John surgery usually don't see a significant drop in their K/9 rate post-surgery. According to FiveThirtyEight.com, pitchers who undergo TJ surgery see an average decrease of only 0.06 K/9 following surgery. I expect that Darvish will probably see his BB/9 increase a bit given that he is only a year out from surgery now, but I am optimistic that his K/9 rate will remain elite.I have him in my home league and hope your optimism bears fruit. tell me who you want, and i'll grab them@Dan Lambskin @John Bender are up.
Can I get a text when they pick? I'm leaving the office and having dinner with my son.
Ohhhh......you have NO idea.I know way too much about what bogart is up to nightly.
Eh, you are talking about a guy that depends on throwing 6 pitches to maintain that k rate. I don't see it, 9/9 sounds right but I'll be glad to be wrong.
