2016 QB Class (1 Viewer)

I have heard some great things about this class, like it's the best since 1983 which had 3 HOF in it. 2004 was really special with Eli, Big Ben and Rivers so how do Cook, Hackenberg and Jones stack up against those guys? With all the hype these guys should all go in the first round of a rookie draft, just wanted to see what the pool thought about these guys and anyone else coming out next year.

There's no can't miss guys.

Hackenburg is the pro style guy but Penn St has an awful OL so his production is lacking.

Goff from Cal is going to put up gaudy numbers and he'll be highly touted as well.

Those are my two favorites. I also don't know what Cardale brings to the table. Is he even going to start for Ohio St? I can't imagine him going round one with what we've seen. He could be a Daunte Culpepper type player because he's massive, but who really knows.

Can only say that I didn't like Cook when he was thinking about coming out this year and I doubt I will like Cook next year. Not a bad QB, but I don't see 1st (or 2nd) round talent.

Of course now that I have said that, he will blow up the college world and be the first pick in 2016 :D

I think there are 9 guys that can reasonably end the 2015 season as top 50 prospects:

Cook

Kessler

Goff

J Johnson

Barrett

C Jones

Hack

Kiel

Boykin

The likely won't all end up ranked top 50, or declare, but I don't think you often go into a year with that many QBs that can be Top 50.

My slightly different, homer-inspired Top 10 QBs

1) Goff

2) Cook

3) Lynch

4) Hackenberg

5) Jones

6) Wentz

7) Adams

8) Boykin

9) Allen

10) Brissett

Probably not but certainly worth bringing in as a FA. Kurt Warner couldn't play at the NFL level....until someone gave him a chance.
Looked very average in college despite being surrounded by enormous talent. If he had played at Vandy, nobody would even know who he is.

So you are saying Hackenburg is this year's version of Carr?

Carr dropped in the draft largely due to the dismantling the Bulldogs took against the Trojans in the Las Vegas Bowl. The team was simply outmatched on talent and it showed. It understandably impacted Carr's game as well. Add in the echoes of his brother and teams really backed off of him. I think if Fresno ended up with a better matchup in a Bowl game and Carr had a good to decent game then he would have been thought of higher and gone higher. Thankfully as a Raider fan, he didn't.

Not exactly the same comparison but if you have a QB that has the tools, mental ability and desire to make it in the NFL but has some issues on his team that made you question him- does that really diminish his NFL skillset? No, not really. I guess the art is knowing what is the good and what is the bad from the QB vs the team.

I mean I said that almost a year ago, but yeah I still think Hackenburg has talent.  He didn't improve this past season which is concerning, but he's got tools.
