You are basically having training for your job that is your job application for your next employer. It shouldn't be the professional Employers job to train and develop things you should've learned in college.

@tommyGunZ has said a LOT of insane things over the years. A LOT. But saying the pressure of a game 4 against the ####ing Raptors may get to Lebron might top them all.

Sure they are however it's also up to the coaches to develop the players as well. If you can't do that and win without 1 and done talent you aren't great. One of the Things I respect about Jay Wright is how he coaches and develops his guys. Some of the guys who go to Nova are never the top guys in the Nation but by the time they leave they are some very good players. If I'm an NBA coach why should it be my job to teach some Rookie how to shoot? Isn't that something he should've learned in HS and college? It's like a company who uses Power Points hiring someone who doesn't do Power Points Correctly. Why would I hire someone who isn't qualified for it. A lot of athletes rely too much on their athleticism and skills they have because they are going up against inferior competition. They get to the big leagues and everyone is as big and fast and better skillsets more disciplined. 

 
I'm just glad that the NBA thread gets to experience once a year what we in the Eagles thread have all year round with the gift of DJax.

 
It's great seeing an MJ fan lose his #### in here and make absurd comments because he is upset that MJ vs. LBJ is a real argument now for "Who is the GOAT?"

But how many HOFers did Lebron beat in a playoffs series besides the past their prime San Antonio squad? You know the same argument people use to say MJ got past Bird when he had back issues and Magic Past his prime. It can be argued both ways. It's pointless.

If a guy sucks at Power Point but he's an amazing salesman, you hire him and teach him Power Point, especially when you have a Power Point coach on staff.

ehh, don't think anybody cries when tanking is mentioned. It occurred, we have all moved on. It was a necessary evil, that luckily enough worked and rescued the organization from years of purgatory and 8 seeds. sure the sports media will always do its thing in Philly, but most have moved on regardless of their opinion on it

Do you understand that you are on the internet? Not bsing with your buddies. Jordan never beat Bird in a playoff series. The Pistons really ended the Celtics run.

During 2nd tenure with Cavs, 12-1 vs 1 seeds.

Reminds me quite a bit of the ‘14-‘15 Hawks. They had to be the bigger fraud, but I’ve never thought much of the Raps the past few years.

Do you mean just the East? The Warriors have been a 1 seed the last years and he is 7 - 11 vs. them

 
Sadly all this means nothing in the long run as there is about zero % chance Cavs can beat GS.  Last year GS won 4-1 and Cavs had Kyrie so you do the math.  It sucks the first time the Cavs were good Michael blocked them and now Cavs are good GS blocks them.  At least Cavs got 1.  

Sad though that GS needed to go out and get Durant to be able to over come the Cavs.  Would been special to see the Cavs vs GS 4 years in a row with the same teams that battled the first 2 years.  Year 1 Cavs had injuries, year 2 Steph wasn't 100% would been nice to see year 3 and 4 with same clubs.

The Warriors beat the Cavaliers without Durant.  

 
The fans of a team that was gifted a no-brainer consensus #1 in LeBron, #1 and #4 in 2011, #4 in 2012, #1 in 2013 and #1 in 2014 are whining.  The Warriors won a ring with their ONLY top five pick being an old Andrew Bogut :lmao:    

 
Cleveland drafted Dion Waiters, Jared Cunningham, Bernard James and Jae Crowder ahead of Draymond Green.  James went #33, Crowder went #34 and Green went #35 :lmao:   :cry:   

Has there seriously been any other NBA team with nearly as much draft capital as Cleveland over the past decade?

That complaint is valid. The Warriors posted the best winning season of all time at 73-9 and then signed Kevin Durant a former MVP and 4-time scoring champion. Then the next year, they went 16-1 in The Playoffs and won the Championship.

That's reason for every team (and fan) in the league to hate the Warriors' guts. They destroyed the competitive balance in the league, imo.

Seriously, go back through all the players Cleveland passed on and tell me why they couldn't have been as good as Golden State is today.  Their front office squandered an incredible amount of draft capital - capital that Golden State NEVER had to build a 73 win team.

 
Durant going to GSW was lame but the warriors were going to be huge favorites anyway.  Plus if not Durant they could have used their cap space to sign other pieces too.  Like Tristan Thompson perhaps.   :thumbup:

The Warriors did what every franchise should do....build the best team possible and they did it without high lottery picks or anything close to the process (partly bc Chris Cohan was a terrible owner). Any fan would want their teams to do the same. 

Now I get the flack KD gets, it was a pretty weak move, but what were the Warriors front office to do? Say nope, sorry KD. We don't want to ruin the competitive balance of the league?

Since 2012, the Pacers are the only team in the East that's made James work even a little bit. During that timeframe, the Pacers played James 5 times and won 10 games. The rest of the East combined played 15 series against James and won just 11 games.

LeBron, Dirk and the Mavs, Jordan in the late 1980s, it's pretty standard stuff. And then even when you overcome one hurdle, they just change the narrative.  It used to be that Toronto choked early in the playoffs, but now that they're winning playoff series the new narrative is they can't overcome LeBron.

I don't think this stuff about pressure or whatever is nonexistent; it might have some impact on the game. But Toronto's much bigger problem is that they are facing arguably the greatest player in the history of basketball and they are down 1-0 and no longer have home court. I seriously doubt they'll roll over and die, but even if they play at their normal level they still could lose now that they're in a hole.
