It would be a timing issue. If K was signed and the next day Z was traded, that would not go over well at all. Personally, I would rather have Z over K.

Nowhere in the article does he explain why Lundquist (non-trade clause) or Chytil (prospective stud) shouldn't be traded. Expected more from Brooks whose articles I generally enjoy.
