2017 College Football Thread: Hawaiian QB devastated to find out Jesus was "kinda rooting for Georgia" (1 Viewer)

Does it really even matter?  They won with Craig Frigging Krenzel for Krist's sake.  This school doesn't need their QB to be any good.  Who's the best QB in OSU history, Troy Smith?  Art Schlister?
It mattered against Clemson. I imagine the Alabama/USC/FSU trio would make it an issue.

Cap - cancelled my ATL trip a few weeks ago when we moved our connected NC trip, and ticket prices were not moving ($500 upper corner deck last I saw).  Got a call this morning with a free lower bowl ticket...booked an up Sat/back Sun flight 3.8 seconds later, bought $50 all you can drink tailgate passes...washed my favorite game day shirt...ready to ####### roll!

Should be a war...also, Arthur Blank is a genius with the in-stadium normal retail prices on food/drink.

Couldn't go. Wife didn't feel up to it, none of my friends wanted to do it. I have four tickets on StubHub right now that unbelievably haven't sold.

It would be nice to have the Washington farce out of the way early.

Those calls are just horrible.  The Wisconsin player bends down - you want to give him a penalty go for it - to kick him out is just stupid.

I mean thank god fox added another "rules expert" this year. So often last year I thought my viewing experience would be enhanced if Mike Pereiria had someone standing next to him.

At what point does BC get kicked out of the ACC?

It's clear the university isn't interested in spending money on football.

They bring in good academics and the NE tv market, so they'll stay.  I still hope that one day ND and Navy round out the conference as full time members.

Yup, that was bad. I get the flag, but there was nothing dirty about it to toss him. It's a stupid rule
Agreed...don't think it was dirty.  Just dumb.

The low hit on Hornibroij was more dirty...and dumb as the guy had no need to at his knee.

Fuuuuuuuuu!!!!!

They obviously haven't been great lately ... you can probably blame that on a combination of 1.) Addazio; 2.) being on the same side as the Clemson-FSU-Louisville three-headed monster. But they have been .500 or better in eight of their 12 seasons since they joined the ACC.

Of course, the pessimistic view also shows they haven't been over .500 in the ACC since 2009 ... having gone no better than 4-4 (three times) in the last seven seasons. But they've also still managed to be a bowl team three of the last four seasons, and have had only three losing seasons overall since 1999.

And yes, I can't believe I'm here trying to defend BC. :bag:

BC is fine. Every conference has a nerd school that sucks at football.

That's the kind of improvement I was hoping to see out of Rutgers last night. The offense was way too conservative but both lines played much better than they did last year against such good competition.

Browning is a gamer. I couldn't believe he didn't miss a snap after that blindside hit.

From the team aspect, I'm not sure about the big week 1 games because of this.  Always best to get a tune-up in.

Great for the fans though.
Theres been some good ones over the years.

A few years ago Clemson vs UGA was amazing (Sammy Watkins and Gurley).  It's better than watching teams beat up on d2 schools.

It's a stupid rule but a rule nonetheless.  Can't blame the officials on that one.  I've seen guys get tossed for much less.

One day, I'm hoping a man with logic and wisdom can explain to me the draw and appeal of Lane Kiffen.  Is there a worse coach in the world who continues to land jobs?  Skip Holtz maybe?
