2017 College Football Thread: Hawaiian QB devastated to find out Jesus was "kinda rooting for Georgia" (2 Viewers)

I think the most likely situation is they wanted to have a fox game that nobody cared about opposite a potential game 7

Kam Pettway comes back into lineup with 2 TDs tonight for Auburn as they go up 31-6 at Arkansas - it looks like Gus will live another day. Beilima maybe not

Up 31-6 the Auburn D causes a fumble - next play Gus calls a RB option pass play for 70 yard TD. Guess he want to run Beilima out of town personally just in case he is fired at Auburn.

At a wedding but needed to make sure everyone remembered how stupid that moron on Traveler looks and how wonderful it feels to pants those pretentious poodles in prime time.

Go Irish!

This is me not commenting on Arkansas eating #### against Auburn.  I mean I knew it would happen, but seeing it is demoralizing.  I hope Beilema gets cut this offseason, so if that means we lose the rest of our games, I'm for it.  GL Auburn, I find you guys the least objectionable of the SECW :)   We should have had Malzhan but our AD at the time chose Houston LOL Nutt's horrible backwards ideas instead.  Now we get what we get.

Miss St - stupid cowbells

Missouri - stole DGB from us

Bama - evil empire

A&M - no cheerleaders :oldunsure:

I stopped caring to finish this list.  How is this program so wealthy and has such nice ####, but we can't hire a winning coach?  WTF

There may be no better story than charlie strong this year. Undefeated and in the top 10.
He inherited a nice team with an incredible QB.  What Scot Frost has done at UCF is far more impressive considering that team  was 0-12 before he got there.  Also undefeated this year.  Will be a huge showdown between those two.

The turnaround at Fresno State under Jed Tedford is also very impressive.

Well, Michigan wasn't going to contend this season anyway, but I hoped that the offense would be better than it has been, namely, flaming doodoo fire(all credit goes to GM for the phrase).

Is the Pac 12 really eliminated? I've seen that a couple of places and I don't get it. Stanford and the Washington schools still have a shot.

If Stanford gets in after loosing to SDSU ad USC, then just shut the whole thing down.

But one of the Washington schools might get in if they run the rest of the table.

There just aren't four really good teams this year. Obviously a lot would have to go right for Stanford but if they run the table and beat what is likely to be a top 4 ND team I think the voters can look past two September losses.

If the playoff needs to take a 2 loss team, they'll have a list of teams to consider, many of which won't have a loss as bad as SDSU on their resumes.

I'm not saying it's impossible, but very unlikely. If anything, Stanford clearly does not control their own destiny. They need help, and a lot of it.

If Washington or Washington State run the table, MAYBE...but Stanford has two losses, one of them to a sinking SDSU team.  USC getting undressed and spanked by ND further hurts that conference on two fronts - one, it exposed USC on national TV and two, it means ND inched closer to a possible playoff spot as an independent.  Pac-12 would need a lot of outside help coupled by one of the Washington schools running the table to sniff a spot.

Bama vs Notre Dame

Georgia vs Penn State

TCU controls it's own destiny at this point.  They win out, they will go and either ND or a 1 loss SEC school gets bounced.  PSU has to beat OSU or that will cause all kinds of chaos.

Clemson, OU have the next best chances but they have to win out.  OSU if they win out.

Dark horses:  Miami and Wisconsin - both undefeated but huge games loom large.

The Washington schools had horrendous OOC schedules.  That won't be overlooked this year.

This chit gonna be crazy this year!!!!

I'm not convinced Ohio State has the horses to do it, but they do control their own destiny.

If they win out they will have wins over Penn State, Michigan State, Michigan, and Wisconsin (in the B1G Championship Game). Their only loss would be to Oklahoma in week 2. That will get them in.

Penn State on the other hand even with just 1 loss would be left out, much like Ohio State was left out in 2015 because they loss to Michigan State who lost to Nebraska earlier in the season. Or Penn State could get in as a second B1G team, but they would not help for that to happen.

I think Penn State is better than OSU based on what we've seen so far, but anything can happen. Just look at how last year's PSU/OSU game ended. The better team doesn't always win.

Georgia Southern fired its coach today.

UMass has now beaten two FBS teams the last two seasons and gotten the opposing coach whacked the next day after both of them. (Ron Turner at FIU last year.)

Let's see you P5 guys beat that record!

I think Jimbo is good, just not great.
He's definitely good.  When the whole LSU/Jimbo business was going on the first time around, my thoughts were that Miles to Jimbo was a lateral move and not worth the massive amount of money that it would have cost LSU.   Miles had been one of the most successful coaches in the country for a long time when that was happening, so that's not an insult.
