2017 College Football Thread: Hawaiian QB devastated to find out Jesus was "kinda rooting for Georgia" (4 Viewers)

1Alabama

2Georgia

3Oklahoma

4Clemson

5Ohio State

6 UCF

7Wisconsin

8Penn State

9TCU

10Auburn
Several times this year Wisconsin won its game and went down in the Polls so why not now.  All they did was go into Miami's home turf, eat their porridge, sleep in their beds, and take their women.  Certainly that is not as good as losing at a neutral site. Keep Clemson and Oklahoma where they were but let UCF jump ahead of Bucky.

I'm sure it has been mentioned in here & I would be stunned if it wasn't, but the NCAA should be ashamed & embarrassed by that pathetic disgusting halftime show. Did it or he get paid to do that??

I'm happy about all of it.  That's a horrible way to lose though.  Any number of plays either called correctly or if UGA makes a play or if Alabama doesn't get a tad lucky (the tying score on 4th down is what I'm referring to here) and UGA wins.  Granted Bama left some plays out there two - 2 missed FGs.  What is that nonsense that Simmons writes about - that was a stomach punch game (or whatever he calls it).

I'm fine. I expected Alabama to win. I blame Penn State for it, given if they had not blown a 15 point lead in the 4th quarter to OSU, the winner of the B1G championship would have gone to the CFP instead of Alabama. F'n Nittany Lions.  :kicksrock:
Blame my team but not yours losing by 31 to Iowa? :lmao: :lmao:

BTW, three Alabama players moved on the blocked punt.
Correct..should have been a false start dead ball. 5 yard penalty.   The missed facemask and unnecessary  roughing were costly though. Both 15 yard fouls.

As soon as Bama got Hurts out of the game they were a totally different team on offense though.  With Hurts in the offense was stagnant, after the switch Georgia needed to put more points on the board.  Needed one more score in the second half to ice it.

By mid 4th quarter the band playing between every play was driving me crazy! Had to turn down the volume.

That's good, but I still think everyone is still trying to beat Ricky's Rant from back when the Saban run started against Virginia Tech.

The overt racism sets it apart:

I have questions:

1. Just how many TVs do you need to watch a game?

2. Why is Jethro dressed like an 80s preppie with the polo shirt and boat shoes?

3. Why does the wife (?) keep saying "my table, my table"?

4. Is the kid on the computer watching the game as well?

for me the game hinged on the Alabama replacement Q.B. avoiding the sack on what, third and seven on his first scoring drive.  The kid was hit twice for what was going to be a loss, he scooted out of it, ran left, put his head down for a first down, and the comeback was then inexorably on.

Georgia did not believe and their lack of belief was reflected two places, in their second half tackling, which was often atrocious, and in their initial refusal to play to their identity.  Rather than run the ball in the first half, figuring they would not meet power with power, they thought they would go with what they do not do so well so as to maybe, maybe catch Alabama unprepared.  I never understand that philosophy.  Do what you do best and make the other team stop it, don't abandon it yourself without trying.  Hell, they gave Alabama, uncontested, Alabama's main defensive goal, they abandoned the run.

Anyhow, for those of us with no horse in the race it was an entertaining game.  Lots to discuss.

Also found it interesting that Georgia spent their final regulation drive without Chubb or Michel on the field.

Early in the first half, did I catch a Georgia fan imitating a monkey when Jalen Hurt took the field or was that just a dance the Georgia fans do because it was......well, it was awkward.

I'm OK with Wisconsin final ranking of #7 in the country all things considered. In the end, beating Miami - probably Wisconsin's best win - is not all that impressive.  Its somewhat odd that the Big Ten has 3 of the top 8 teams, but didn't get one in the playoff; and yet, I don't think there can be any complaint about that based on how the season played out and ended.

Georgia is Alabama with a huge metropolitan area basically one guy built.  It's not like the racists left.  Georgia fans are the Chinese of the SEC: new money, everywhere, and annoying as hell.  If you've been to Europe lately, you know what I mean.

Note that I'm only hating on Chinese, not all Asians, so less racist.

If you notice, at one point he went back to the table he was hitting with the folding chair, trying to pick it up.  He wouldn't want to be in a fight with this chick.
