2018 College Football Thread: Local man buys some teenage champions a 4 for 4 (2 Viewers)

The ratings for these semis have to be huge, right?

It's a Saturday on a long weekend (for most 😔 ). You have Notre Dame which inexplicably still has a huge fan base, and Clemson who's been just this side of Bama as the best recent program in college. Then you have Bama and Oklahoma.

Historical trends say nah not really.Ā Ā

Timing of this game is ideal though. The prior ones had to bend over for the NFL among other issues.Ā

His teams always come out unprepared and flat in big games. After 26 years of head coaching, you’d think he could clean it up at this point.Ā
I’ve never heard of forced fumbles being blamed on the head coach. That’s silly.Ā

i wish the so called rules expert would actually explain whether the ball needs to touch out of bounds to be considered out of bounds b/c no way that nose was touching.Ā Ā

Rules question:

they didn’t mention it or show a good angle but the NDĀ guy that recovered that reversedĀ fumble ran and jumpedĀ from OB to get the ball.

whats it take for him to establish himself back in bounds? One foot, two feet, or does it matter?

Looked like he probably got one down before touching the ball. Not sure about two.

i may also be totally off. Testing out watching on Hulu and the dvr stuffĀ kinda sucks so I didn’t run itĀ back and watch again.

Just want to say I had no idea which game was the Cotton Bowl.Ā  I just assumed it was OU/Bama since I have actually seen OU gear around here with some frequency.Ā Ā

Haven't seen a single sign of life from either fanbase locally, and usually even a ####ty cotton bowl featuring Ole Miss and Missou wouldĀ show up in the wild here.Ā

If Love is out, ND’s pass defense is screwed.

The announcers are underplaying his importance. He’s the one All American on the defense.Ā

I'm not certain of this, but I think that the whole "must re-establish yourself" thing only applies to offensive pass receivers.
