Nonis getting an interview. Now we can be afraid. Very very afraid. :XJaxBill said:I guess I'm just worried that Holmgren is looking for somebody he knows and somebody who will try to make playoffs this year. Homer is already busy shipping out Hextall guys. (Asst GM and assistant coach)
A couple of the other GM names are up and coming guys. I'd rather they swung for the fences and try to take long range approach.
Oofff. That's what i get for complaining about FletcherNonis getting an interview. Now we can be afraid. Very very afraid. :X
OK, my son finally got his schedule and he was able to get the time off so we are set.For both game there will be a huge number of opposing fans. Buffalo fans are the worst, but Pens and Bruins are up there and I am from the Pittsburgh area, most my family is still there.
Sitting on the glass or close is cool but it does obstruct your view of the entire ice.
I will definitely meet up with you guys. Either just to give you all the Canes stuff and maybe take you to dinner before the game and possibly go to the game too.
The Pit has great Carolina BBQ and is near the Marriott. I ton of other options too. X you game?
How big is your ride? There is a lot of stuff. I can bring it all or just have you pick through it at my house when you are here. There is much stuff that wouldn't ship well so glad we can avoid that.
Anyway I will do my best to help you guys and ensure you have a great time and things go smooth. If I go to the game, I will pick you guys up and drive you.
add on to that he knows he’s a marked man. it’s so pointless to make that play. he can’t control it.NHLN has the Caps feed and they're arguing head wasn't principal point of contact.
And this is where I'm at
@SWhyno: Even if Wilson did not hit Seney in head - it's questionable - there was no reason to make that hit. Wilson saw Seney's numbers the entire time and it was late.

Same thing happened in our game and not called. On Sv.anyone that argues for this clown is ####### clueless.
It was a match penalty so 1 game suspension unless league overturns it. You think the league is going to do that for a guy who an arbitrator reduced the length of a previous suspension? Also not contact to the head. Ejection was a reputation call, which Wilson has earned. Don’t think it’s a suspension though - hard to make that case without a shot to the head
A match penalty technically results in an indefinite suspension "until the Commissioner has ruled on the issue."It was a match penalty so 1 game suspension unless league overturns it. You think the league is going to do that for a guy who an arbitrator reduced the length of a previous suspension?
they were pretty bad in the 1st. Gibson stole this onehealthy Ducks aren’t so bad
3 W in 4 nights on the road against 3 quality teams. give them some ####### credit!they were pretty bad in the 1st. Gibson stole this one
first two wins were due to the moms being on the trip in FLA. Ritchie had 4 points in those because his mom wouldn't let him eat at Burger King before the games.3 W in 4 nights on the road against 3 quality teams. give them some ####### credit!
At this moment in time, the Ducks are in first place and are -14 goal differential.
I think they’ll probably sign him but it’s going to be expensive. Maybe $8.5MM/year or so is my guess.IC FBGCav said:@Aaron Rudnicki
On the Canes board, the majority didn't want Skinner to go. Now the haters are saying no way you guys can sign him. I don't get in those discussions. But if I know Buffalo, I think he get a contract there.
He wants more.I think they’ll probably sign him but it’s going to be expensive. Maybe $8.5MM/year or so is my guess.
With the year he’s having, he can ask for more but he won’t get $10MM in Buffalo most likely since that’s where Eichel is.He wants more.
I agree, if he was smart, stay there. He's been in Carolina so he has perspective. With the year he’s having, he can ask for more but he won’t get $10MM in Buffalo most likely since that’s where Eichel is.
To be clear, the hit occurred at 17:39 of the second and Seney returned at start of third. He might not have missed a shift but there was 15 - 20 minutes time between shifts and i don't know if he was in the quiet room.A match penalty technically results in an indefinite suspension "until the Commissioner has ruled on the issue."
It can be 0 games, 1 game, or whatever the league decides. It’s also supposed to be for a deliberate attempt to injure. Seney didn’t miss a shift. Hard to believe that would have been the case if Wilson had deliberately attempted to injure him there. Again, absent head contact, I think it’s hard to suspend a guy. But if anyone deserves it, it’s Wilson
I agree. I hate our management. Can’t believe Canes dumped Zykov. Not sure why he made it to the Oilers also.
feels high. $7MM seems more reasonable. plus he’s bound to cool off somewhat. they’ll get him signed and it should be a decent signing. like you said, the rub will be termI think they’ll probably sign him but it’s going to be expensive. Maybe $8.5MM/year or so is my guess.
Before the year started, most would have been happy with 7x7 but he’s got 20 goals in 27 games. Going to be at least 8 and maybe 9 at this point unless he goes ice cold and finishes with 30 or something.feels high. $7MM seems more reasonable. plus he’s bound to cool off somewhat. they’ll get him signed and it should be a decent signing. like you said, the rub will be term
considering he’s a volume shooter 2.3x above his career percentage its bound to even some. and if it doesn’t correct much it’s not like he has the leverage for the Eichel-effect he’s getting. I think they should be able to get it done below 8 if people are rationalBefore the year started, most would have been happy with 7x7 but he’s got 20 goals in 27 games. I haven’t looked at too many comps but I think that Draisaitl deal makes things tougher unless Yzerman is doing the deal in a no-tax state.considering he’s a volume shooter 1.3x above his career percentage its bound to even some. and if it doesn’t correct much it’s not like he has the leverage for the Eichel-effect he’s getting. I’m not looking at comps either just shooting from the hip, but that Draisaitl deal does seem to been an issue for lots of GMs so maybe you’re right. classic Chiarelli wrecking everything he touchesI haven’t looked at too many comps but I think that Draisaitl deal makes things tougher unless Yzerman is doing the deal in a no-tax state.
