My boy Tex, who went to the last game me and X went to is having a party on the 22nd, which is his 49th birthday.  

So after the game I have to go to his house, which is 30 minutes further west.  So the arena is a good mid point.

So......come to my house afternoon gameday.  Get the goodies.  Me and wife will join you at the game.  After game, she will head home to take care of dog.  I have to go 30 minutes west to Tex's.  You can come or not your choice, not sure I will know many people other than Tex and family.

Tex was my best man and I was his, we live an hour apart, so don't get together much and I know his friends but don't know his friends there, if you get it.

Cary is a good area to stay.  When we were looking to move, we stayed at the La Quinta in Cary.  15 from arena, location with food options, but nice area.  LQ has coupons around and we used to stay for under $100-.

 
As a Bolts fan it is a little bothersome how much Toronto outplayed them in a big game, particularly after how Washington pushed them around in the ECF. 

That said, Vasy is on the team too and he might just be the difference this time.

Caps looking to have Oshie, Wilson, and Kuznetsov in the lineup together for just the second full game all season tonight. 

Ovie and Backstrom run so hot and cold on the same line and right now they're on fire. Looks like they're going with Oshie on that line, and putting Wilson and Kuznetsov together with Vrana, who is starting to put it together. Going to be fun to watch the difference in speed between that older and fairly plodding first group vs. the very fast second line.

Canes are a lock to win tonight, bet the house on it.  

Darling is in goal which makes it an air tight lock.

You sure you don't wanna go to a party with total strangers?    :)

When do you get in town? Just let me know what time you plan on coming over Saturday.  No dinner,  probably just meet you at the game.  I take it you have my number, let me know if I can do anything to help you on your trip. 

Stayed at the Embassy Cary about a decade ago for a wedding and loved it. Easy trip from there to the PNC, plus you are right at I 40.  Easy to get around.  :thumbup:

 
I think i can coach the Canes, i just make sure i dont use Aho in a shootout 7 deep. Wtf.

Schneider is the new Cody Hodgson. Those Couver trades don’t seem to work out nearly as well as they should. 

 
How do you not use Aho on a 4 point night with 2 goals when you get 7 deep?

I guess they are grooming him for the Sabers.  Wtf.

 
Brindy said he didn't think about it much (no crap) and the other guys did good in practice......you dont have an nhl goalie in game or practice!

 
I bet the 7 guys that the Canes sent out this game have less goals total than Skinner this year, probably not close.

Awful awful decision. Not just Aho but no Teravainen or Svechnikov either. 

THEY SENT OUT KUOKKANEN, DI GIUSSEPPE, SLAVIN, HAMILTON, WILLIAMS AND MCGINN AHEAD OF AHO, SVECHNIKOV AND TERAVAINEN. YES I'M YELLING, IT'S SO STUPID. 

 
My Peterborough Petes traded for Sharks 2018 first rounder, the Uber polarizing Ryan Merkley today, so I get to watch him be the best in the OHL at entering and exiting zones with the puck, and skating like the wind and racking up points and QBing the power play and making infuriating passes to the wrong team and getting caught up ice all the time at the absolute worst moments. Pretty pumped :thumbup:

Get in town Saturday,  likely around noon(hopefully the weather is good), just messaged hotel about early check in. (Booked a smoking room by accident so need to change that)  If we can't get to the room early then we may head over around 1 or 2, if we can it may be closer to 3 or 4.  I will call you before either way.  Let me know if either works better for you and we'll make it happen.  My son and I will hit dinner somewhere and meet you at the game.
