2018 Pro Bowl Rosters announced (1 Viewer)

There's a difference between first-team All-Pro and making the Pro Bowl, right?
Yeah.  Spotrac reports he just needs to make the Pro Bowl.

Contract Notes:

2018 Voids if he makes the pro bowl or all-pro team in any prior season
As does over the cap:

Mark Ingram signed a 4 year, $16 million contract with the New Orleans Saints on March 8, 2015. $6.1 million is fully guaranteed including a $3.6 million signing bonus. Ingram can earn additional escaltors and the 2018 season can void if he achieves Pro Bowl or All Pro honors.

as a Raiders fan, I'm kind shocked that 3 members of the O-line made the pro bowl as they certainly have not lived up to their reputation and paychecks this year.

Yeah.  Spotrac reports he just needs to make the Pro Bowl.

As does over the cap:
CBS confirms that Ingram's only option at this point is to be AP First-Team All Pro:

"As pointed out by the New Orleans Advocate, Ingram can actually become a free agent following this season if he's named to the Associated Press' All-Pro team. When Ingram signed his most recent deal with the Saints back in March 2015, the contract included several clauses that would potentially void the final year of his deal in 2018 if he was able to hit them.

Ingram's four-year, $30 million deal stipulated that the final season would be eliminated if he were named to the Pro Bowl a total of two times during the contract or if he was named to the AP's All-Pro team in 2017. With the Pro Bowl clause no longer attainable, that means the only way Ingram could get his 2018 season voided is if he's named to the All-Pro team this year."

Yeah, we’ve been over that - Ingram’s contract was widely misreported, it has to be two pro bowls (this is his first) or All Pro this year (unlikely.)

ANYWAY - thought Glover Quinn deserved a selection at FS. At first I thought Agnew (leading PR, 2 TDs) deserved Returner but Pharaoh Cooper was great on KR and OK on PR.

I know, its the pro bowl and it really doesn't matter, so I shouldn't get worked up about who makes it, but its annoying when pro bowls gets brought up as something that plays a role in someone making the HOF, when obvious guys don't make the pro bowl.

Harrison Smith not being voted in is embarrassing. He's easily the #1 safety in the NFL this year, and a strong candidate for DPOY. Landon Collins and Malcolm Jenkins haven't had half the impact Smith has. Hell, perhaps I'm slightly biased as a Bears fan, but Adrian Amos was better than both those guys too.

Jason Kelce has been better than Mack or Frederick, and on a better team too. Frankly, Frederick made it on reputation, as he's had a pretty down year, by his standards.

Melvin Ingram should have made it over several guys, including teammate Bosa.

One last thing, they should really take DE, DT and OLB off the ballot, and just go with IL(interior lineman), ED(edge defender), and LB(off ball inebacker) otherwise it skews way too heavily toward 3-4 OLB's and 4-3 DE's because of high sack numbers. Of the 6 OLB's who made the team, only Anthony Barr actually plays linebacker. Everyone else(Clowney, Miller, Suggs, Kerrigan, C. Jones is basically a DE, who just happens to play in a 3-4.

Confusion seems to be in the wording of the contract (or reporting of the contract).  Rotoworld says he becomes a UFA if he makes Pro bowl 2X between 2015-2017.  He made Pro Bowl in 2015, but that was BEFORE he signed this contract.

I think its unlikely he gets All-Pro over Gurley.  Bell is closer, but still think Ingram is a little behind.
