Footballguy
Looking at players with expiring contracts at the end of the season for keeper values. I put the full list for each position in spoiler tags, only posting names that I believe to be relevant for next year. Would love to hear if there are any deeper prospects on the list I am missing. Two stands out to me as good opportunities for 2019 and beyond who are probably available in most leagues: Spencer Ware and Maurice Harris (maybe this last one is one week too late). Will try to edit OP based on comments.

QB

Player (Pos/Age/Tm/Status)

Teddy Bridgewater (QB / 27 / NO / UFA) - Would Brees really retire if they win the Superbowl? Even so, will Teddy be the next man up?
Ryan Fitzpatrick (QB / 36 / TB / UFA) - What will TB do about their QB quandry in the offseason.
Tyrod Taylor (QB / 30 / CLE / UFA)
Josh McCown (QB / 40 / NYJ / UFA) - Broadcasting career probably next for him.

Tyrod Taylor (QB / 30 / CLE / UFA)

Brad Kaaya (QB / 23 / IND / ERFA)

RB

Player (Pos/Age/Tm/Status)

Jay Ajayi (RB / 26 / PHI / UFA) - I would have thought Philly resigns him, but the Eagles thread seems to think otherwise. Tied to Clement and Adams' performance ROS.
Mark Ingram (RB / 29 / NO / UFA) - Last time he had a chance to leave the Saints he chose not to. At 29 this might be the last contract he signs. Guess this would also depend on how this season goes.
Latavius Murray (RB / 28 / MIN / UFA) - He's been productive enough that he probably sticks for a new contract. They did sign Abdullah.
Peyton Barber (RB / 25 / TB / RFA)
Spencer Ware (RB / 27 / KC / UFA) - Ware should be a starter somewhere next year. Added him to my roster for next year prospect.
Marshawn Lynch (RB / 33 / OAK / UFA)
Bilal Powell (RB / 30 / NYJ / UFA)
LeGarrette Blount (RB / 32 / DET / UFA)

Tevin Coleman (RB / 26 / ATL / UFA)
Alfred Morris (RB / 30 / SF / UFA)
Raheem Mostert (RB / 27 / SF / UFA) - He flashed enough before getting hurt that he may get another shot with the 9ers, but man this guy's NFL resume is not pretty.
Javorius Allen (RB / 28 / BAL / UFA)
Malcolm Brown (RB / 26 / LA / RFA) - the little i saw of him, he looks like someone who can make some noise as a starter somewhere. He's RFA though, Rams would be smart to keep him around.
Le'Veon Bell (RB / 27 / PIT / UFA) - see any of the other threads on him.

Tyrell Williams (WR / 27 / LAC / UFA)
Quincy Enunwa (WR / 27 / NYJ / UFA) - Enunwa and Anderson I think are good compliment receivers. They need a WR1 though to get anything out of these guys, they are not built to be that. IMO they keep Anderson and let Enunwa go.
Robby Anderson (WR / 26 / NYJ / RFA)
Golden Tate (WR / 31 / PHI / UFA)
Tavon Austin (WR / 28 / DAL / UFA) - Adding him here just so i can say he is trash as a NFL receiver. all world physical talent, no NFL skills. was so tired of watching him even on special teams under Fisher with the Rams.

Kevin White (WR / 27 / CHI / UFA)
Kelvin Benjamin (WR / 28 / BUF / UFA)

Call me crazy but in deep Dynasty leagues if I have the roster space in the off-season I’ll consider adding Maxx Williams.  I know he’s done absolutely nothing in Baltimore (and I don’t know why) but he was a high draft pick with an athletic profile similar to Ertz and Hunter Henry.

Not sure if his lack of production is due to poor development, a lack of drive, or poor opportunity...but I don’t think it’s due to a lack of natural talent.

I think I will call you crazy on that one.  ?

Baltimore has been such a TE-friendly offense for so long, and has given us so many decent streamers at the position that Maxx’s complete invisibility there is telling as to his actual ability, imo.  Better dart throws elsewhere for me.

I think the fact they drafted Hayden Hurst and Mark Andrews last year is also a big red flag.

Interesting as I don't see any truly game-changing FAs here outside of Bell, maybe Ingram for RBs, and Gordon/Tate in the WRs.

QBs are all middling journeymen, though I give props to Fitz for keeping his mojo going.

RBs, outside of Bell and Ingram, are also backs that won't change the offensive landscape of any team. I'm a fan of Coleman, Murray, Powell, and Ware, but if they do find spots elsewhere it will be in similar timeshare/backup roles. Maybe Malcolm Brown can develop into a starter but hard to gauge with so little consistent playing time. Yeldon might contribute, but only as a pass catching back in systems conducive to that approach. Mostert is interesting to keep an eye on.

WRs, the stories of Cobb, Moncrief, Tyrell Williams, Brown, and Enumwa aren't done, and Harris shows some promise suddenly. Again, no blockbuster impacts here, but these guys could definitely find a new home and boost their contributions and add a new dimension/threat to other teams of need. I like White and Benjamin, but at this point don't see their contributions to date as proof they can all the sudden turn it around and be consistently effective elsewhere.

Like who?

Who did they lose that they needed to add depth at that position?  Looks to me like the have 4 uninjured TEs on the roster now.
To each their own. I'm not running out to add a 26 year old backup TE in dynasty after he was claimed week 15 and only has a contract through 2018

So to answer your question, it's not who they lost that leads me to believe this is a depth thing. it's the fact that they are a playoff team and he only has a 3 week contract that leads me to look at this as a non news story with regards to the dynasty outlook at NO TE. If you think they found a long term gem at TE week 15 off waivers, even though they only have him locked up for 3 weeks then more power to you.

Funny how now all of a sudden I think he’s a long term gem.  All I said is his addition impacts Arnold.  Do you think Arnold is a long term gem?  I think the signing is an audition for Swoope. If he performs they may offer him a contract for next year.  If that happens, Arnold’s Value takes a significant hit.

How about Rod Smith, RB Cowboys 2019 UFA? I can see him getting a shot somewhere and have added him accordingly. His 3.1 yards per attempt this year is not good though.

Let's recap the conversation.

Person A mentioned Maxx Williams as a good FA to keep an eye on for 2019

Person B said he saw better dart throws out there.

Person A asks who?

I interject and offer a suggestion of Dan Arnold as a better dart throw for 2019

You say that you would agree, but NO just claimed Erik Swoope

I point out that it's likely a depth move for 2018 because his contract is over in 3 weeks + playoffs.

It's fine if you think it's an audition for 2019, but considering how late it is in the season I am highly doubting it. The point remains that Dan Arnold can be considered a better dart throw than Maxx Williams

I think the Swoope signing is more about Marshall's release than anything about Watson, Josh Hill, or Arnold.

Bridgewater is far better than some want to give him credit for. Assuming Brees doesn't retire and he doesn't want carry a clipboard anymore, he's going to have several teams after him who don't love this draft class and he could end up in a really nice situation to contribute next year, especially in 2 QB leagues.

TJ Yeldon will have some nice value. good receiver in an age where RBs with good hands are a necessity. his ypc avg is only 4.1 but I think the JAgs o-line and play calling is a big part of that.oh, and Bortles.
