Non Redwings Seabrook seems like a lock.
#5.Lucic is the other that comes to mind but I'm not very well versed on other teams contracts.
was surprised Turris didn't make the top-10The Athletic article on the ten worst contracts is pretty interesting. I'll post the list later but does anyone want to take some guesses who's on there?
No Weber, Subban or Karlsson, I guess their level of play is projected to stay high enough not to be complete albatross contracts.Shea Weber?
Agreed! Offshet by the fact the Rangers get to pay Brendan Smith 4.35m for the next two years to be a healthy scratch/7th defenseman/13th forward/generally uselessWas surprised Zibanejad didn't make the cut for one of the best. $5.3 x 3 more years is a steal at his recent production.
Probably keeps thinking if Vancouver would give Myers that much money, he should hold out for $15 million a year.what is going on with Jake Gardiner?
Last year, Maroon was one of the latest name UFA players to sign and he signed with the Blues on July 10th. He's still out there again, but most assume he'll stick around in St. Louis.
There's been almost no buzz on Gardiner, but I've been assuming he'll wind up somewhere like Montreal or Detroit. Have to assume that means he's unhappy with the offers he's getting and will have to take something short-term.

Concerns about his back issues last season costing him millions, it seems.what is going on with Jake Gardiner?

I’m hoping Maroon doesn’t stick around here. He was great in the playoffs, but I’m not so sure he will be able to have a run like that again and otherwise he was pretty terrible. I think he should just leave St. Louis on top.what is going on with Jake Gardiner?

I would guess at this point he’s hoping for a better offer than the bottom of the barrel offer Armstrong has given him. Most people in St. Louis feel like he’s probably gone.

What about that was particularly harsh? There were rumors in Dec/Jan he was about to get cut. When Thomas started to emerge, his game turned around. In the cup finals when Thomas got hurt, his game fell off again.harsh
Is Binnington a UFA after those two years? I’m assuming so@CapFriendly: After re-signing Jordan Binnington to a 2 year $4.4M AAV, the #Blues now have $7,120,406 in projected cap space, with a roster of 22 (12F/8D/2G)
Remaining RFA's:
Ivan Barbashev
Oskar Sundqvist
Joel Edmundson
Ville Husso

Agreed. Maroon will always be a huge hometown favorite no matter what - heck, he scored one of the biggest goals in Blues history (against Dallas) - but I get why he is unlikely to return. What about that was particularly harsh? The guy will always be a legend around here, and deservedly so. He brings a certain tough element no one else on the team really has but the rest of his game is just too bad for me to want to give him a roster spot. If St. Louis wants to reward him then they should give him a nice FO position.
Id be more than happy to watch him get a nice fat contract somewhere else and be a major contributor on another cup winner to eat some crow. Hopefully it’s a team that hasn’t won a cup in a long time or ever.
Hasn't been much happening. :(So we're just going to run with this thread title all summer?![]()
Makes sense really or wait until he does something else just as stupid.
I use ti have Ducks ST's and they use to do things like this every year.Does anyone have season tickets for a team here? One of my friends is a VGK sth and they had a game/player used/worn sale today where there were sticks, skates, jerseys, gloves, name plates, etc. Was curious if any other team in the league does this or if this was a fantastic money grab by the VGK organization.

I am part of a Bruins season ticket group but not the account holder. So I am not always privy to everything that comes our way but I know the B’s do the “shirt off their backs” giveaway on ice after the last home regular-season game. My buddy also did a between-periods on-ice contest a year or so ago. But I’m not aware of equipment sales or anything like that.Does anyone have season tickets for a team here? The Edmonton Oilers have a Locker Room sale every year in early June. It is open to the general public, not just season ticket holders.Does anyone have season tickets for a team here? I’m a Bolts season ticket holder. They do this annually. We get the first crack at this stuff before the public. I’ve never gone.Does anyone have season tickets for a team here? Not to mention the stenchI mean what the #### am I going to do with used hockey gloves? I’m old, fat, can’t skate and the coolest it gets here is 65.

(Abdelkader made the honourable mentions list on last week’s worst contracts, but through my own personal error should’ve actually been … second. I wrote down that he only had three years left, but he actually has four somehow. My sincerest apologies). - Dom LuszczyszynHe was the first honourable mention, so likely #11.
The league would have to approve long term disability status before the club got any cap relief.I know this is inappropriate, but I'm sorry, it needs to be asked:
Can someone please tell me the cap implications if a player gets clipped by a Russian assassin?
