It’s obviously still extremely early to make these projections, but is Suns->Nuggets->Jazz (no home court advantage) really an easier path than Wizards->Knicks->Nets (all with home court advantage)?

It’s not easier - not even close, IMO.  Granted the hardest team there is the Nets but on aggravate it’s not close for me.

 
I have to admit when Murray went down for Denver, i was thinking this was going to equal an early exit, bur Malone has done a masterful job of coaching with this young group.

It helps when you shoot over 50% from 3 and make the most 3 pointers you have in a game all year.  We'll see if they can continue to do that.  Guessing no.

good question. For a 7th seed, it is a good deal. i do think jury is still out, not sure if Jazz can step up for the playoffs or if they have another gear. Sixers deserve credit for getting that #1 seed with Bucks and Nets pushing for it too since they earned that easier step. 

for me, biggest surprise is the dud the Clippers are. would have thought they learned from last year, but they just kind expect some magic switch to flip, and it never does

jury is still out, but Lakers-Sixers finals would certainly be fun

i think weighing Knicks vs. Nuggets is little more up in the air. Nets certainly >> Utah if they keep clicking and don't hit any major injury. 

If they would have been healthier this year, really wonder how this Nets team would do against the '17 or '18 Warriors. Could be a fun 2K game. Have to give Warriors more credit, since the way this Nets team came together is still little mysterious. But Nets deserve ton of credit for how they bounced back after Billy King

 
man i thought the Bucks-Nets was 50/50 on who would win, but i think this gives Nets a bit of an edge:

Bucks guard Donte DiVincenzo will miss the remainder of the 2021 NBA playoffs after suffering a tendon injury in his left foot, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania. 

I know DiVincenzo isn't a world beater or top player on that team, but he is a pretty key piece with a top heavy team. guy's filling that void have a bit to be desired

Just a reminder. It was a month ago when the clips were favored to come out of the west, and i said they would not win a series. I expect Dallas to sweep them. And I really hope to be wrong. I just don't see an answer. 

I also said the Lakers wouldn't win a series. Who knows if this would look different with a healthy CP3. I think not, and LA is finding their A game, but I still expect them to lose in the next round, and won't be completely shocked if Phoenix reverses this. Just need Chris healthy and to shoot like they have all year.

I'm surprised by the Clips.  It's just not working.  Vegas keeps favouring them in every game though, and again tonight.  I think Dallas wins in 6.

Lakers are cruising though for sure.  They will face Portland or Denver in the next round, not sure either of them will give them all that much trouble?

Vegas doesn't favor the team they think will win. They favor the team gamblers think will win. Spreads are adjusted to balance the pool. 

I wouldn't say the Lakers are cruising. They've exerted maximum effort to grab two wins against a struggling and badly wounded opponent. They have ridiculously bad shooting nights. I have no idea what to expect going forward, but as a life long fan and season ticket holder, I don't expect another banner or another western conf championship.

Ya I really have no clue who is going to come out of the West.  Pretty wide open.  I do think a healthy Jazz team could realistically be in the finals though.

 
Suns don't have a chance. Booker's been held in check. They've been riding Ayton and..... Campaign. :unsure:  

Bridges and Crowder are solid role players. But nearly the same identical players in starting lineup together. One of them has to step up offensively. And for them that means hitting wide open 3s which they aren't getting.

When it came out "Paul can't make the injury worse", knew it was over for him. I think he's still getting too many minutes. Obviously Suns aren't winning this, but their best chance today is playing Campaign over Paul.

I don't think anyone is touching the Lakers out West. No question they're more talented than last year. And you give Lebron benefit of doubt he continues to get better/healthier.

Stotts has to be gone....and blow up might not be far behind. I still believe they won't lose to a backcourt of Austin Rivers and Campazzo and think they'll advance, but no question changes will be made if they exit round 1. 

I thought they did a great job addressing their weakness last year (defense) with additions of Covington and Jones Jr. I don't even think Jones Jr. is playing anymore.

Is this a given though?  The guy clearly isn't right.  Not sure how much healthier he is going to be getting.  Lakers desperately need to finish this series in 5 and get some rest.

 
1 hr to NY/ATL. I'm giddy. Gonna parlay ATL-BRK-DLS and over-over-over. Then use my legal prescription, turn up the subwoofer, put on my mamba t, order chinese and savor the isolation.

I don't think they need to blow it up (probably), just replace McCollum with a good forward and get a new coach.

McCollum is a great tough shot maker, but otherwise he's just a guy.

I know they won't do it, but they should trade Lillard to the Pelicans. The Pelicans have so much draft capital from the AD trade and Holiday trade.  It seems very likely that the Blazers are never going to come close to a title and don't have the assets or buying power to get Lillard a running mate.
