"No power since Thursday AM. Have barely had a cell signal either so nothing would load. Sorry if I’m holding up draft. Hope to have power back today or tomorrow. "

Told him we're all just hoping he's safe.

"We are, thanks. Only minor damage to my home and fridge and freezer full of ruined food, but other than that just awaiting power. Escaped briefly for some supplies and to get messages out etc. will be back ASAP. "

WE ARE BACK!!! JESUS H TAP DANCING CHRIST, what a few days.  Got power back late last night. internet back about an hour ago. Whiskey and beer supplies were dangerously low, but we survived with only minimal damage. Feel your pain. Lost power for 7 days and internet for 15 after the derecho hit Iowa on August 10th. Thankfully we were able to stay with family while we didn’t have power and had little damage to the house, so came through things OK. Glad things are good your way.

Today is  my adopted son Luca's 17th birthday. I've been a part of his world for 12 years. Sorry to clutter, but this morning I haven't been able to stop talking about how proud I am of him and how much I love him. Couldn't ask for a better kid.
