LOL at the announcer proclaiming that the Celtics have to stop the nonsense while a Golden State player is doing push-ups on the court in the background.

Funny moment, I agree. But, the Warriors are winning right now. Celtics are letting these antics get to them IMO.

 
If you told me before the game that Curry wouldn't hit a 3 and have under 20 points for the game I would have bet everything I owned on the Celtics. This is crazy.

Nice win for the Warriors. Wiggins is playing some great ball. It really felt like that Poole 3 at the end of the third quarter really deflated the Celtics and completely shifted the momentum of the game.  

 
Golden State won the assist battle tonight 25-18 and more importantly they won the points in the paint 50-36.  Those two stat categories have really made an impact on who wins games this series.  Boston has got to get more points in the paint and take advantage of their size if they want to force a game 7.

It is a combo. They have some really bad unforced errors. Maybe not this game, but there have been several games in these playoffs where have just thrown games away.

Everyone keeps repeating the stat, but does it really mean anything? League average TO per game is roughly 14. 

So obviously if a team turnovers the ball above average they will likely lose. If they do it less they will likely win. It's part of the Four Factors for a reason.

It just seems like such lazy analysis to me.

In reference to today's game. I would say a lot of the TO were forced by the Warriors D. Sometimes, it is unforced TOs, but I think merely pointing to TO totals is not very informative.

Guess what I'm trying to say is they don't make the effort to score from inside enough

Settling for threes, whether they make them or not, isn''t the best balance to win games

It's not even analysis, it's reciting statistics. It's not meant to be that deep. You're getting worked up over nothing my guy.  :shrug:

I think what Boston did defensively played a big part of it.  Was discussing the series earlier with a colleague and he thought BOS had to get out of drop coverage, at least early, and not letting him get into a rhythym.  They were denying him hard all over the court, hard switching and even hedging a second guy at him limiting his early touches.  He accepted it early and let the others play 4v4 in space. I thought Kerr would make an adjustment at the half and they would blow it open but that didn't happen.  As the game tightened he seemed to force some shots but ended making some nice assists and a runner late.  If BOS can repeat  the defense on Curry they are still in this.

i wondered why, in the 2nd half of Game 2, Tatum went back to the mid-court start to his drives that he practiced the whole first half of the season, his discarding of which was a big part of the Celtics turnaround. i have since decided that its cuz he's doing everything by memory, that theyre shooting up the shoulder joint so much that there's either pain or no sensation at all up there.

my guess is he decided to forego the needle tonite, his team quyickly realized he didnt have it and sagged alongside him. desperately, he got the needle at halftime and it worked for a quarter. its the only the i can come up with to explain the difference in his game from the previous series. not begrudging the Dubs at all, theyre playing the cards they were dealt better than the Celts are.
