The Bolts lost another one of their numerous superstars 4-6 weeks but still won 4-0 last night over Philly at Amalie because they still have Vasy. Every other team in the league is inferior and can suck it.
Just wait until Vasy's name hits on Brisebois' "Price Is Right"-style LTIR spinning wheel in his office.

@NJDevils: Due to the closure of the Holland Tunnel, Wild players did not arrive for tonight's game until 6:26 pm and the start time has been delayed until 7:33 pm ET.

I never said this in 3 seasons of David Quinn. I think Gallant needs to be fired. Might be a great guy and a players coach, but he is not getting the best out of this team AND his answer to Mollie Walkers question about Lafreniere last night was unacceptable in my opinion.

Flyers lose 5th straight and things are getting testy

@charlieo_conn: AV: "You look at our group right now, and there's a few guys in my estimation that can give us more, give us better."

Normally I'd think this is a statement you make before scratching a key player or 2. But org depth is so thin due to injuries that I don't even know if they can.

can't win with Murray

@SunGarrioch: The #Sens informed Matt Murray after the game he will be waived tomorrow @FriedgeHNIC reported. Murray and his camp aren't happy with his development.

Heard from a good Flyers friend who is well informed by people that the Flyers brass is meeting tomorrow to discuss the future of the team. Possible if there's anyone better then AV to take over and so fourth.

Personally it goes all the way up to ownership. Comcast just doesn't care as long as they make money. Ed Snider must be rolling in his grave. Fans really need to make a statement and start boycotting the team, Comcast etc. Something that gets their attention.

Andrei Vasilevskiy wins his 200th game, and gains his 2nd straight shutout as Tampa shows Seattle what championship hockey looks like with a 3-0 win.

If you decide to bring back a veteran coach after an extremely disappointing season then fire him before Christmas,  that doesn't reflect well on the GM, Chuck.

Please, please,  please don't promote Therrien. 🙏

Unless his name is Chris Therien I agree. And Yeah it doesn't look good on Chuck. However this team needs a complete overhaul starting with the owners

wut?

@PierreVLeBrun: Hearing that Scott Mellanby had extensive talks with Habs owner Geoff Molson at first about becoming GM, then that changed to perhaps becoming president of hockey operations. But he was told yesterday he was out of the running. So he resigned today.

What is the worst franchise right now?

Ottawa, Buffalo, Arizona, Vancouver, or other?

I pick Canucks. Total disaster with no hope of ever getting better with their current ownership.

@TSNHockey: The Montreal Canadiens have announced the firing of GM Marc Bergevin, assistant GM Trevor Timmins and Senior VP of Public Affairs/Communications Paul Wilson.

Jeff Gorton named Executive VP, Hockey Operations as the team looks for a new GM: http://tsn.ca/1.1727507

They made the Cup Finals, granted their season hasn’t been good, but they had a lot of injuries, Carey Price is getting help for some stuff(which he’s welcome to do, take care of the mental stuff especially), but I didn’t know it was that bad.

Back in south Florida, but the Lightning lose 4-2 on the road in Minnesota. I didn’t know this, but the Lightning haven’t beaten the Wild in Minnesota in over a decade. Weird fact, hopefully it won’t bite them in the playoffs.

make it 6th straight. They're missing a couple guys but who isn't?

@avappleyard: .@NHLFlyers overall xGF in each of the last 6 games:

35.78%
41.73%
41.47%
33.54%
43.54%
35.35%

Hard NOT to lose all six with numbers like that. #Flyers

I’ll dish out an apple to Getz on this one…

tampa bandwagon shocked to learn about team stats prior to 2019

Ottawa sends Matt Murray down to the AHL.

I figure if I’m getting headline billing, I should at least make myself useful for stuff other than just Bolts news.

@EricEngels: Based on what I've been told, Daniel Briere is very high up on the list of candidates being considered for GM of the Canadiens.
Not sure Briere has as much experience as I'd like to see.  Then again the other names I'm hearing thrown out are Brodeur and Luongo.

Really suxor that they limit the position to Bilingual candidates. Sure cuts down the options.

For some strange reason I have a feeling it will be a surprise to everyone when he/she* is announced.

*You never know!

So, that was a thing. Bolts blow a 3-0 lead, the third of which was a fluky goal off an end board that snuck past Jordan Binnington, who faked a swing at said board in retaliation. They got a point, since it was a shootout loss, but it doesn’t help that they blew the lead to do it.

first of all I didn’t even know Tampa and Nashville were playing an outdoor game in February.  they just released the jerseys and they’re both awful.

Bolts beat Blues 4-2 on the back of their Stadium Series jersey reveal. Is it just me, or does it feel like the Blues Cup win was like 6 years ago? I’m not insulting them, it’s just that the pandemic has stretched time out to weird areas now.

The only reason I’m laying off the ‘Bolts’ jerseys is because Nashville is so bad. The Bolts ones suck too. I hope the Blues go full time to their throwback jerseys next year so I can really get all snobby with the rest of you.
