Lincoln Riley to LSU?
Nah.   But, if it happens it happens.   People around here lose their #### with this type of talk.    Oklahoma found Stoops and they found Lincoln they will find another coach if it ever happens.    Stoops did come out and say about Lincoln that coaches at his level do not interview they are just offered jobs.

Beavs win, quacks lose.....all is right in the world.

Oregon Goodwills should be overflowing with ducks gear this week.

This will be the first time in recorded history that no school from Florida or California ends the season ranked.

Beavs have been great as underdogs this year. +7 at Oregon.  I expect them to at least cover, and most likely win outright.

Line moved from +13 since this weekends results.  imo, the Beavs have a much better coaching staff.....Oregon has more recruits with more "stars" next to their name, but do they coach em up?

Scenario 1:  UGA beat ALA, OSU beats Mich        Final 4:  UGA/Cinn    OhSt/ND

Scenario 2:  UGA beats ALA, Mich beats OSU       Final 4:  UGA/Cinn   Mich/ND

Scenario 3:  ALA beats UGA, OSU beats Mich    Final 4:  ALA/Cinn   UGA/OhSt

Scenario 4:  ALA beat UGA, Mich beats OSU     Final 4:   ALA/Cinn   UGA/Mich

Correct?   Unless something weird happens with both Cinn and ND's final games.  In which case Ok St /OK winner could maybe find a way in.   Can't wait for Cinn and their barely top 90 SoS to get in.  They are gonna get hammered by the SEC.

We Miss State fans are probably enjoying Mullen being let go much more than we should.  Grass isn't always greener...

Selfishly hoping for some Big12 love since there's a championship game as well.  OkSt will be in the championship game vs. either OU or Baylor.

Right now, I'm trying to see a path for Cincy to get in, but I can't.  I think beating ND isn't going to be enough given the rest of their schedule is dog crap.

Their OOC schedule and record this year isn't helping...best win is Va Tech?  Nebraska?  Cal?

Sonny Dykes to TCU???

It's really strange. Feel like they got the wrong guy out of the program.  There's basically no success story from the AAC HC ranks to the power 5 I can think of.

Those of you betting UGA should get your bet in asap before it goes up from -4…

College Football Nerds @CFBNerds

Alabama is 75th in opponent red zone td scoring % defense and 103rd in red zone scoring defense. Georgia is number one defensively, in both.

Public won’t let it get above 4, I’d be surprised if it got past 3.5. Public would soak up Bama and points almost immediately.

According to sagarin, Ok St SOS is 26th which is higher than ND and that disparity will only increase in the coming weeks.   I can't see why they shouldn't get in over ND if they both win out and that 4th spot is up for grabs.

Cold blooded (1010xl is local Jacksonville station)

@MattHayesCFB: #Mizzou coach @CoachDrinkwitz on @1010XL, explaining irony of beating #Gators & Mullen after last year’s near brawl:

“My father was a farmer, and there’s an old saying you reap what you sow. If you sow kindness, you reap kindness. If you sow jackass, you reap jackass.”

This guy is awesome!

I shouldn't love this, but I do.  A fellow alum texted me on Sunday "We sold our soul for Urban's NCs and the last 13 years have been penance."

But that doesn't fit the narrative!  If OkSt had a 'name' on the helmet they would be in or very close to top 4 right now.

ND really needs Alabama with a second loss and a Big XII question mark or two loss champ. ND’s schedule turned to crap with everyone but Cincinnati letting us down.

I would be most curious if Georgia wins, tOSU wins, and Cincinnati/Ok State/ND win out what really happens. I think Ok State has to be in. I think it’d come down to ND vs Cincinnati with Cincinnati having the head to head, but this committee already showed H2H amnesia with Mich vs Sparty. I think Cincinnati would deserve it in my scenario and ND would be left out.

Committee has said H2H is only one factor when the teams are ultra close like UM and MSU were. They also went on to say a Cincy and ND were not particularly close at the time. With ND’s games since then I don’t see how they close the gap. If Cincy wins out I don’t think the Irish can make it.

It’d have to be on eyeballs at this point. Cincinnati hasn’t convincingly beaten anyone in a while with a weak SOS while ND has been rising each week. We don’t deserve it, don’t get me wrong, if the choice is ND vs UC.

OkSt wins out and Alabama loses, I think you'll be in.   The committee is just waiting for the conference championship to move them up.   Right now, ND just has the better loss.   Oklahoma on the other hand, if they win out, that will be interesting.  That's more of a jump and their SOS is worse although like OkSt will get better the next two weeks.

What?  Cincy just pulverized an SMU team that was a miracle kick return away from being undefeated coming into this game.  It was like four days ago.

Oh yeah. But one game does not make a trend. They’ve otherwise flattened out from earlier in the year. SMU did have two losses as well, not just Houston.

Potato potato though. If they remain undefeated, they’ll probably get in no matter how much ND creams Stanford. At least we ended the year doing what we should to try to put ourselves in position 🤷🏻‍♂️

Well, who are they going to go out and get that's an improvement?  There are 13 other job openings currently.  If you're Penn State what are you dangling that USC or LSU is not?

Why not make a play for Fickell?  Or some other young up and comer?  Why commit to 10 more years of just ok, and knowing you're way behind the 8 ball in every big game?  Easy for me to say, I'm not a booster or alum.  He just doesn't impress me at all.

Forgot about that Memphis loss.  But still, that was a decent team that Cincy creamed.  ND has had a good year for sure but I have a hard time seeing them in the playoffs at the expense of Cincy.

I'm betting all the money I have left on Oregon State and will hate watch the game from Autzen.  Oregon was a fraud all along and I'm certain if they played Ohio State today it would be every bit as ugly as the Michigan State game was.  This QB makes Brady Leaf look like Johnny Unitas.  He makes me long for Jason Fife.  Hell, bring back Dakota Prokup.  I vomit further than he can throw.

Because Fickell is going to USC.  I don't know, he hasn't been BAD.....if Clifford doesn't go down and they beat Iowa, he looks better today.  You just can't keep hitting the reset button.  See Florida.  Texas.  Miami.

Is he?  Good point about Iowa, that's true.

Guy can recruit, but he makes Cristobal look like Bear Bryant in game.  Comes up small so many times.

ETA: I think USC should go to Matt Rhule and FORCE him to say no to a huge offer.  I think Rhule's bound to be back in college before too long.  Hell, maybe THAT is what good ol' UPS should do.

Cristobal might be the worst in-game coach I've ever watched.
