Looks like he gets 8 games, per Shams. He has already missed 5

That seems very liberal to put it nicely.
Seriously, the NBA went soft here. Dude should be out for 25+ games.
They couldn’t prove that he brought the gun on the plane or that it was actually his gun. 25+ sounds ridiculous for just waiving a gun around in a state where it is legal to do so.
Illegal to wave around when you are intoxicated.

According the owner of the club

Morant wasn't problematic.

“This kid, real young, was exceptionally respectful, and sweet and he did not drink," the owner said. He’s marvelous.”

Uh huh

Not sure what switch the Warriors can turn on to win on the road. Steph with 50 tonight. Team shot 55.7% from the floor and 47.2% from three and still couldn't take down the Clippers.

@Jayrod if you watched Wolves/Celtics curious as to your ref's eye opinion on that last jump ball.
They haven’t been calling that on jump balls in what seems like forever. Refs missed the timeout call just before the jump anyway.
Missed the game but discussion on the radio this morning sounded like if the refs had seen the TO call they probably would have given Joe M a tech for running out into the middle of the court when calling for the TO.

Doubtful. And if so, that's dumb. If a coach is yelling for a TO and no ref sees him what the hell is he supposed to do?

Yeah, they just don’t play consistently tough D on the road.

32 to 15 advantage on FTs for the Clips. Curry only shot 4 FTs despite being mauled on most drives to the hoop. Meanwhile Zubac gets 8 FTs flopping. It was pretty absurd to watch.

Jokic's MVP odds have tanked after this losing streak. Almost neck and neck with him and Embid +100 to +150. Giannis looking like a good bet at +300
Jokic was awful the first game of the losing streak but generally has looked his regular self for the last three games. Jamal Murray on the other hand has probably been the most destructive player in the NBA over the last couple weeks. The last 4 games he has had a stat line of 16.4/3.3/5.5 on .315/.257/.833 shooting splits while playing the worst defense he's played in the last 5 years. He has shot them out of each of the last 4 games.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Lonzo Ball will undergo a third surgery on his injured left knee.

According to Woj, "there are concerns about Ball’s ability to resume his career and hopes that this surgery — which could cost Ball another full season away — will give him a pathway to play again." Ball lasted played in January of 2022, and there's a real possibility he'll be forced to sit out a second straight season. Ball is incomprehensibly rostered in 13% of Yahoo leagues, of which 12% is likely comprised of managers who quit playing early in the season. For the 1% holding him due to other reasons, we salute you! That's real dedication.

Lol. Fair point.
I like that the clip had to go back to the David Lee era.
It's just the most talked about one there is. Watch any game without Warrior glasses on and it will be very obvious
Oh, I totally see it. At this point though, most NBA teams are moving screens all the time. It’s not a Warriors thing anymore. Watch any Jokic screen. Or Gobert screen. Etc etc etc.

Absolutely. However, Klay, Curry, and Poole are all in top 10 of frequency of plays running off screens this year. Last year, Klay and Curry were #1 and #2. Year before, Curry was #1.

They just do it so much, that there are bound to be more illegal screens set by the likes of Draymond and Looney and whatever other goon they throw out there

Zaza Pachulia takes this personally….

said to be a cartilage transplant

Bill Simmons did his “worst contracts draft” the other day. Gobert went #4 and Towns went #5 lol

@Frostillicus eat it
Wolves could trade KAT right now for way positive value. Even Gobert is probably a neutral contract at this point.

Simmons is an idiot.
They all said they could trade Kat. That wasn’t really the point of it.

In no way is Gobert a neutral contract. He is comically overpaid imo

No way.
 There are always desperate teams. Lakers gave up value for Westbrook.
I don’t think the possibility that some team might make a horrific trade for a player exempts that player’s contract from being discussed as terrible.

I don’t get it then. How is it one of the worst contracts if teams would readily sign up to pay him the exact money he is getting paid?
Somebody would do that, but would many? You’d have to give up assets, he is a defensive hole (so bad they had to give up a decade of picks to help him) and the contract is gigantic.

I think Gobert would still be considered a top 5 center if he was on a team that could even come close to maximizing his talents. I think the ****ty trade is being held against him personally. And the possibility of him getting traded any time soon is pretty much zero as it would be the Wolves admitting it was a bad idea.

That said, something like John Collins and Clint Capela would be a no-brainer for the Hawks. Charlotte for Hayward plus some minor filler would be a no-brainer for the Hornets. Dallas for THJ and Bertans. Portland wouldn't have the salary this offseason to match, but he would be a huge upgrade on Nurkic.
